Vitrum

Every time I spray Vitrum,those first 15 minutes takes my breath away. I am overwhelmed by an incredibly rich, deep, chewy vetiver. Suddenly I am transported to the darkest depths of a forest. I smell a lot of factes of this vetiver: woody, quietly smoky, brightly plush, and even a bit mossy at times. But it’s the earthiness that I cherish. the most. A wet and vegetation-strewn black soil had injected its darkest depths into the plant. This is tribal! What I smell along with the vetiver is an impression of an aromatic pine and its sap, a birch-like tarry smokiness and patchouli-like earthiness, spiciness, and something almost camphorous. So: pine and patchouli. While the latter disappear rather quickly, the former turns into the most beautiful wonderfully authentic, high quality frankincense resin whose natural, facets are on full display: pine-y freshness, sap-like sweetness, a lemony, resinous aroma, a slight dustiness, and a Church-like liturgical incense. Again: tribal is the word coming to my mind. There are hints of black pepper that uplift the composition and I detect a subtle rose imparting a certain elegance to the rooty vetiver. Time goes by and Vitrum becomes smokier and darker: the trip will take you into the furtherst recess of the forest. Vitrum is very nuanced and I would advice people who love vetiver and want to experiece an olfactory journey through all its facets to give it a sniff. Follow me on IG @alexolympia6

Vitrum reached me during a personal phase in which I thought I was seriously getting bored by vetiver-centered fragrances...and it proved me wrong. It made me realize I was probably bored by average quality vetiver essential oils diluted in alcohol and sold as a *compositions*. Yes, Vitrium is still quite a simple fragrance but the outstanding quality of the ingredients sets it apart from most other similar offerings available on the market. It's basically all about a tremendously multi-faceted vetiver note that ranges from smoky to fresh, via salty, earthy, woody and even mossy undertones. The opening is quite straight forward but the fragrance unveils soon an incredibly elegant and sophisticated essence when the rooty note is paired to a never overdone rose which enhances both the dark and the fresh sides of the main player providing quite some movement. There's something really special about Vitrum, something simple and yet so striking which I guess is that certain *je ne sais quoi* that makes the difference between something good and something really exceptional. Fantastic. Surely a must have for anyone into vetiver but also highly recommended to people more simply interested in great quality fragrances. Reference type of stuff in my book. Rating: 8.5-9/10

Really disappointed by this one. It’s a really sharp, medicinal smell and it’s kinda smoky. The wood is so so bitter and has basically nothing to round it out. It smells very artificial to me. I think if this were 50 metres away from me I could smell it through the glass bottle. So much black pepper. Nauseating.

This is a real nightmere of pure evernia prunastri (oakmoss) dosed without any grace. Bitter and repulsive, it kills the nostrils as it has killed the natural sweetness of the vetiver and theother essences. I have no idea what insane person could wear such a flail.
