North Atlantic Right Whale

This is Kenzo Homme EDP (2022) meets Nautica voyage with a niche twist and is legitimately one of my favorite fragrances that I’ve ever worn. The salt, seawater and seaweed combination really stands out and smells like a crisp fresh morning on the north Atlantic coast as the surf crashes over the rocks in front of you. Good longevity about 6 to 8 hours and solid projection. In my opinion, it is a good value also considering the $105 price point is right in line with similar designer offerings however, 20% of your purchase does go to the conservation of North Atlantic Right Whales 🐋. That should be enough to sway anyone in the direction of this fragrance versus similarly costed options. It is truly a purchase that you can feel great about and I really appreciate the Sanctuary fragrance house for making this their mission. Every purchase of one of their fragrances 20% goes to charity work to conserve the animal the fragrance is inspired by.

Perfect spring/summer scent, very light and easygoing. Lasts fairly long with enough sprays

Very nice summer/spring daytime scent! Definitely reminds you of a day at the ocean! The seaweed adds a little bit of bitterness and complexity but overall it’s light and fresh. I really enjoy this! Edit: unfortunately I have to edit the review to note that while this fragrance smells very good, the performance is medicore. It does not last long and at $105 I can’t justify buying the full bottle. Understand that the company says 20% of your purchases are donated to help conserve animals. I think that’s cool but it’s still expensive!

Despite this being super masc, this is SO GOOD! It's a burst of citrus with aquatic notes. Comes off like a men's deodorant, but wow, the entire time I had it on, I was enthralled with how I smelled. Super salty, and the seaweed is extremely prominent on my skin. While I often times wear men's fragrance, this one was a bit too masc for me, but I would LOVE it on others. Also, people complaining about longevity, but this lasted HOURS on me.

This is what an expensive version of Nautica Blue would be like. But, just like Nautica Blue it also doesn’t perform all that well. I like the main notes at the opening, very sea salt spray on the beaches of Venice, but the only thing I’m not a very big fan of is the dry down which just leaves the patchouli and seaweed notes, leaving you with a more earthy and less refined scent which I’m not the biggest fan of. $105 is waaay too much to pay for a bougie version of Nautica Blue, and I get why their fragrances are so much, it still doesn’t make it worth it to pay so much for a fragrance that performs slightly better than a $30 of Nautica. EDIT: After using this a couple of times, including one time where I over sprayed myself, I can safely say I don’t like it. The take on a real aquatic scent, one that actually captures the salty, dirtiness of the sea, is really cool and unique, but it does not bode well with my skin. All the soft, more subtle notes of this that give it it’s “cliche” aquatic feel get absolutely consumed by my skin, leaving me with that salty seaweed smell that does not go with with my natural body chemistry.

One word: SALTY It opened as a very fresh and enjoyable scent, if not too marine for me. By the end of the day, the freshness faded and It was left smelling like algae washed up on the beach (gross!) I sprayed on my skin and it lasted all day, even into the next morning. Definitely reminds me of a whale, but I don’t know how often I’d wear this or what occasion it fits.
