Santal & Cardamom

I just received the tinitinyest bottle of this lovely oil. However as much as the scent is wonderful its foliage and longevity leave little to be desired. Definitely a skin scent. Not really a good value for the price as you would have to bath in it, just to get anyone else to smell what you are smelling. Trying to figure out a way to boost the silliage and the longevity...and the strength in general. Any ideas? And dont suggest in hair or clothes as it's too oily for that. At this point the best way is to use its tiny steel rollerball and run it under your nostrils so at the very least get a few good fleeting whiffs. Also, anyone know of a great dupe, stronger in the longevity and silliage and affordable? Thanks in advance.

On me, this one is more sandalwood out front at first. But, after an hour or so, it is the most wonderful slightly sweet earthy scent and I can't stop smelling my arm! I wish I was better able to identify and separate the notes here but, I do love it, whatever it is. It does stay close to the skin. Minimal projection for me. I've received complements from people I've hugged. lol That's how close it sits. But, for the very reasonable price of the eau de parfum oil, I think it's worth it.

I love layering this with ALT Simply Santal, Saltair Santal Bloom, and Le Labo Santal 33. It also layers well with vanilla gourmands and anything with Bianco Latte dna. This is an all seasons all times of day scent for me. I love it on its own or layered with other dupes and/or other scent profiles. Incredible with Babycat, too. Quite the bang for your buck and good enough if you can’t afford the gimmick that is Le Labo.....you’ll just have to reapply this more than you would the OG.

I don’t really agree with the longevity and silage comment personally. But everyone’s nose is different. I’ve worn this multiple times and someone stopped me at a grocery store asking if that was my perfume they smelled. I usually pair with vanilla musk by S&F and it smells great.

If you enjoy anything related to Santal 33 you might enjoy this. To me, it's a prettier and slightly more femme version of it that requires less committal to wear. I really do smell quite a lot of incense in this, which I enjoy. However, it's not ultra churchy or dense. It's like, a light lace of incense. I actually don't smell much cardamom. I have actually come to enjoy the pickle notes in S33 or dupes, my favorite is Neon Moon from Pacifica, but this is a close second place. If you smell pickles in any of these, you still will within this as well. But, the cedary drydown is quite nice, and utterly unisex (who cares though, wear what you like regardless of gender). It's retains a certain warm pepperyness too. I think this is a very enjoyable and somewhat complex fragrance for such an affordable price point.

I received this as a gift and it smells really good! Its fresh and woody, but also very warm and earthy. I imagine being in a forest with several pine trees, its a very clean scent. I'd day it last around 4-6 hours and I can smell it on myself throughout me wearing it, I think it has good silage because I could smell it when my sister was wearing it. This is a unisex scent and I'd dare say its more masculine because of how green and woody it is. It also very affordable.

I prefer Sand + Fog Violet Sandalwood; it's sweeter, prettier, and more me. I'm also less enthused about cardamom now than I used to be. That said, this is a really good-smelling perfume oil, and I think I'd be pleased to smell it on someone else.

Smells salty, and makes me think of the desert.

Sometimes, you just need to smell like root vegetables. When layered by dirty by lush this smelled like carrot and savory 😁

This is a spot on dupe of Santal 33.

I purchased this scent after smelling it on a friend. She smelled amazing. On me, it is so cloying! Im not sure which combination of notes has me hating it... I am normally a fan of all of the listed notes. It lasts extremely long on the skin...I would say the performance is very good. It is very similar to Santal Vanille by The 7 Virtues... which I also struggle with. Gris Charnel by BDK has some similar notes but I really love that one.

I don't usually like Sand + Fog b/c the scents are WAY too light and they just don't perform or project, but this one is different, in a good way! It smells a LOT like Le Labo "Santal 33." Very similar, and gives leather jacket, chic, cool girl vibes. Wears beautifully and although I'm not one to layer, this one layers really nicely with Maison Louis Marie "No.4 Bois de Balincourt." Sits close to the skin, which I don't mind on a fragrance like this one. I give this an 8/10.
