Cinquanta unfolds like a dream of a tropical garden, the air thick with gardenia and tiare—florals so lush they almost hum in the air, their sweetness tangled with green leaves, damp with morning dew. The petals have just opened to greet the sun, their creamy headiness mingling with the dry softness of earth. There’s something alive here, something that feels as if it’s breathing in rhythm with the world—free, delicate. But time shifts it as it does with everything. The sunny petals fade, softening into something warmer, deeper—coconut, like the sun’s warmth captured in a soft, silky veil, pulls everything into itself. It’s sweet but mellow, like a soft cradle rather than a full-fledged embrace. And under it, the tea leaf lingers, its green, slightly grassy scent weaving through, keeping things from becoming too heavy. There's that sandalwood soothe, too. Smooth, calming, gentle, grounding, I could go on. Picture sinking into soft, worn leather. It’s as though the warmth of the garden has faded into the evening, florals turning to shadows, green leaves curling in the dusk. Cozy, yet soft, elegant without effort. Cinquanta truly knows how to hold you close, without ever wrapping tightly. Cinquanta whispers. Surrounds.

It’s a beautiful combination of green tea, bergamot and grapefruit (the notes are listed incorrectly on Fragrantica). It is quite short lived on my skin (2 hours tops), but it’s nevertheless beautiful. I have recently found a love for fragrances with tea notes and this one is an instant crush. (Santa Maria website says that this fragrance was created in 2015 to celebrate 50 years of twinning between Florence and Kyoto, hence it combines fragrances of the Mediterranean (bergamot, grapefruit) with green tea (scent of the East))

I visited the Santa Maria Novella storefront while I was in Florence. I tried a few fragrances and I was down to two I liked, this one and Angels of Florence. I ended up buying Angels of Florence (which is also a great scent don't get me wrong) but I sort of wish I'd gone with this one. It's amazing. I don't usually go for citrus fragrances, which is why I didn't buy this one. I guess this is the exception to the rule, I absolutely love the sweet orange note. I guess I'll just have to go back to Florence...

okay so imagine the grassy gritty aftertaste of matcha then add the scent of your mom's evening moisturizer and the faint scent of a nebulizer. or simply put, the BEST clean, grassy green tea, slightly woody, sparkling floral perfume i've had. this is memory scent for me so i am slightly biased but pls you ALL have to smell this at least once in your life. something about that amber base note makes it gourmand-y with the subtle earthy sweetness it deliver too idkk this is just such a hit omggg

I percieve this as more of a yellow flower composition. It's tropical to my nose, but I do have to say that I like this more in the air than up close. It creates a creamy coconuty ylang feel around you, even though it does not have these notes. And it also has a perfect level of sweetness for this kind of a composition. I love it! Later edit: It dries down into a beautiful soapy cream, can't say I detect the tea but this stage is also heavenly, if you like slighly soapy fragrances, of course

The correct notes of this scent are as follows: Top: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Orange Blossom Middle: Green Tea, Rose Base: Musk, Cedarwood, Amber, Patchouli This is a stunning floral fruity chypre...a refined floral bouquet of irresistible beauty. Love.

I adore this fragrance, it is so unique and up lifting. I'd wish it had better lasting power though, however the scent is otherworldly! P.S! This smells nothing like Aerin Gardenia Rattan, not even close!

Sooo delicious, I get a lot of tea as well as the spice. it's not long lasting for sure but I adore it. very wearable

Russa kötünün kötüsü bir berber losyonu diğeri ise nar kokusunun hafifçe cazibesini gösterdiği vasat bir kokuydu. Roma daki mağazalarında uzun uzun diğer ürünlerini denedim. Cinquanta dışında gerçekten birşey beğenemedim. Zaten mağazada çalışan elemanın İngilizcesi berbat ve parfüm konusundaki bilgisi rezaletti. Cinquanta yumuşak ve modern bir çiçek kokusu. Ben gül kokusu alıyorum ama burada notalar arasında gül görünmüyor. Koku pek bir değişim göstermiyor. Aynı yumuşaklık la başlıyor ve öyle devam ediyor. Kadınlara daha çok yakisacaktir. Özellikle bahar aylarında keyifli olabilir. Ancak mutlaka alın, deneyin diyemeyeceğim.

Acqua di Colonia Cinquanta by Santa Maria Novella is a fragrance I absolutely adore. I bought mine in Florence, in that beautiful old pharmacy, and it will always remind me of that place. It’s perfect for summer fresh, sunny, and full of life. It brings to mind white and yellow blossoms, like mimosa in spring. A bright, joyful scent that feels effortlessly elegant and full of Italian charm.

First impression - smells like a bougee baby powder 😀 Very clean, a little bit green, sophisticated perfume. Perfect for professional settings.

I like this one after 30 mins. The initial spray is quite citrusy / flowery / soapy to my nose. Once it drys down, it gets is nicer. It’s quite fresh smelling. Probably not a fragrance I’d have bought if there had been an opportunity to test it first, although it’s surprising me every time I smell it. I’ve gone from not being that kean, to it growing on me more and more. I do prefer sweet scents and gourmand fragrances, so this was a risk in an attempt to try something new. I can possibly make it more to my taste by layering it with a vanilla. Although the more I smell this, the more I am like it. My work colleague said it’s something you’d wear in a formal professional setting. To me it is definitely (as someone else said) light and airy. I’d also say it’s calming and uplifting at the same time. A nice scent for spring or summer. More fruity than floral. Beautiful packaging and bottle. I’d be happy to sell it though, if anyone love this and is interested. Just private message me.

My mom brought this one back from Italy for my husband. It smells nice, but it doesn’t really suit either of us. I am wearing it now, and it is a nice, distinctly white floral with a woody musk base that makes it slightly masculine. There is just a faint sweetness to it, as well. Cinquanta is good for summer or daytime wear. I can appreciate the artistry and quality of a long-standing historic perfume house, but this one is too simplistic for me. I feel like you could find a fragrance just like this for $15 somewhere in a discount store. I have two fragrances from this Italian perfume house, and neither have decent lasting power, which I am sorry to say. If there are others from this line that are deeper, spicier, or gourmand, I’d love to try that (and would hope it actually has decent lasting power.)

I get creaminess, which I guess is from tropical flowers. Underneath it is grassiness and bitterness.

Clean, bright, and professional. Cinquanta is exceptionally well balanced, and all the notes play together so beautifully. This is a sparkling composition that is as elegant as it is reminiscent of a late spring breeze blowing in across the plains or crisp, clean linens. In my view, this is how white floral compositions should be done. I can’t stop sniffing my wrists! Harmony is the operative word here: While the white flower notes are a little more prominent than the others, every one is noticeable and plays a pitch-perfect supporting role as the drydown settles in. Cinquanta is dripping with class and confidence, and while it leans slightly feminine, it’s also perfectly suited for a mature and well-dressed man. On my skin, the sillage is extremely high, and I can imagine overspraying Cinquanta would be a sharp, disastrous mistake (it opens *very* loudly). Because this is my first wear, I can’t comment specifically on its longevity, but I’m confident it matches those of other compositions from Santa Maria Novella. Lastly, I can envision Cinquanta working during the daytime in all seasons, particular on sunnier days.

È meraviglioso! L'ho appena sentito su una amica e ho dovuto chiederle cosa stesse indossando.. È freschissimo, sento I legno che danno quell'effetto fresco /pulito e I fiori bianchi corposi ma per nulla invadenti.. È davvero splendida questa fragranza, perfetta per primavera /estate e da giorno, anche per l'ufficio!

This is what falling in love smells like... This perfume caught me off guard. A “white floral” fragrance done perfectly. Gardenia is what I can recognize amongst the blend. And there is some kind of lactone that gives us some fig/coconut facet. And it resembles Fico di Amalfi. 10/10

I was in Santa Maria Novella store in Italy. I was looking forward to try melograno but it didnt speak to me. Cinquanta was a winner- clean, fresh, floral, airy, perfectly balanced for work fragrance. Cant get enough of it now for spring/summer.

Smell when u wore a musky cashmere & you enter to a highend spa lobby in Thailand, Bali or Japan with large flower arrangements. The floral here is photorealistic.
