where do i even start, this is the very first perfume that works soooooo well with my skin chemistry. my skin just absorbs it and lasts the whole entire day. the initial spray (mostly the top notes) do disappear quite fast but thats okay cuz i chase the dry down. its soft, sweet, fruity, woody, silky, clean and radiant. i literally feel like an angel after a few hours of this on my skin. there's also something sandalwood-y that i notice in here that isnt listed in the notes and it works so well with the tinge of vanilla you can smell in the drydown. those fruity-florals in the top notes hover over my skin 4-6 hours in and it just floats like angels around me. it does smell a bit like lotion and thats something i really love. i live in a very arid and dry city so something like this stands out in the dry heat. if i could paint an image of how this perfume smells: imagine biting into a very plump and juicy peach/melon (or mango in my mind) and the juices just pools and drips down your chin, and some of the juice drips to your shirt and it mixes with the smell of your lotion and shirt.

I absolutely love this scent for spring and summer! I find the combination of melon and other notes very dewy, clean and refreshing. I have to disagree with a lot of the reviews, as I find this really quite unique. I have nothing like this in my collection and have never smelt anything remotely similar to this. I also find this scent lasts a good 4-6 hours on my skin and creates the most uplifting scent bubble. Maybe whether this works for you or not depends on skin chemistry, but for me it brings me happiness every time I wear it. I love the heart warming story behind the scent and everything about it. I’ve been wearing this for a couple of years now and it still remains a firm favourite. This is one of the few scents in my collection that I will always continue to repurchase. Worth every penny.

Truely angelic fragrance, I love it on first sniff. Surrounded by commertial perfumes in the shop, this one was an apparition. Testing it in Florence, I gladly enjoy its spirit there. The opening is very airy and clean. Ozonic, but not masculine. Like a flowery breeze. Jasmine and cyclamen very well combined, ylang-ylang just sweet -without beeing dark. The melon adds a bit watery note, with peach juicy and tasteful. I like the iris: not too powdery, but elegant. Base is comforting. Vanilla doesn't overcharge the previous notes, just calm down with beautiful woody aroma. This is a perfume for cultivate lady with gentle temper, smart but carefree, free-spirited. This scent gives wings to fly...

Interesting how this is classified as a “fruity floral” when this reads as “aquatic” to me. It’s an aquatic, soapy fragrance reminiscent of fresh laundry, in the same vein as Byredo Blanche, Ellis Brooklyn Myth, and Acqua di Gioia by Giorgio Armani. Not terribly strong, and pleasantly inoffensive. Could be mistaken for a nice soap, so this could be appropriate for work or other situations where strong personal fragrance would not necessarily be welcome. I personally love fragrances in the aquatic, “fresh laundry” vein so I love this one - so much so that I gave my mom the candle in this scent as well.

This is my favorite perfume I tend to get sensitive nose when it comes to spring/summer scents This perfume is the only one that makes me feel comfortable. I smell this when i get anxious It smells so fresh almost cold and sweet. a bit powdery. Sweetness from melon is really good it’s not overwhelming. My body temperature is really high, so summer is really tough season for me(and i live in korea😭) but with this scent, I feel so so clean. I really wanna take a shower by pouring this perfume on all over my body I love this perfume and I’m almost out of it definitely gon’ repurchase!

There's nothing like spritzing this on just before slipping in the fresh sheets and falling asleep cocooned in a comforting cloud. Angeli di Firenze is perhaps not entirely unique, but it's SUPREMELY comforting. It's a smell that's familiar like the scent of one's family home (if you have good memories) and just as nostalgic and comforting.

I am surprised to read these notes because I only get bar soap / aldehydes. Fresh and soft. Maybe some melon. When I close my eyes I get an image of a Cabbage Patch face, smelling it when you kiss it. Soft and lovely for year-round wear. More for daytime than a night out (or great before bed).

This is a beautiful fragrance that is comforting and fresh. The melon note is what stands out on my skin and I love it. It’s truly and Angelique feel to this scent. It was love at first sniff and on me the longevity is surprisingly long, 5-6 hours at least. A true pleasure to wear.

I love this, it smells very clean and fresh. I just wish it would last longer on the skin.

Opens on skin with the most refreshing burst of jasmine and melon, crisp, juicy, and delicately sweet without veering into screechy calone territory (bless). The melon here is natural, mouthwatering, and airy, mingling with a luminous jasmine that feels bright but not cloying—no headiness, no ylang-ylang in sight, immensely thankfully. The fragrance later shifts into a soft interplay of peach, iris, and vanilla, oscillating between a creamy, powdery elegance and a fruity, sunlit warmth. This peach in question is ripe and golden, never artificial or syrupy, while the iris lends a whisper of velvety sophistication. The vanilla is more of a supporting note, adding a subtle sweet smoothness rather than turning this into a full-blown gourmand. Seriously a pretty girl, charming scent which balances freshness, sweetness, and warmth with the most grace I've ever seen. It’s wearable, joyful, and surprisingly nuanced, proving that fruity florals don’t have to be juvenile or overwhelming—here they are cleanly polished, pastel yet radiant, and absolutely absolutely lovely.

A friend had the full set and I fell in love on first smell, absolutely had to have my own bottle. It smells wonderfully light green, truly like you are smelling flowers, and delicious melon with that "fresh sliced" feeling. Both watery and juicy, perfect in this way. The smell of water droplets on the rind of a melon. Was very disappointed to get the same bottle just to learn that the performance is abysmal. Blink and you'll miss it-- you would be lucky to smell like this for 10 minutes after over-applying. I have taken to pelting myself with this fragrance after a shower, there's no point in wearing this out because it won't even make it out the door. Great to sample, maybe not worth the price. Edit 10/27/25: After having more experience with this house, I understand this is one of their most ephemeral. It is unbelievable how good this smells. A disappearing act. I want to love it but it won't quite let me close enough. Maybe it is better this way.

There’s something cheap, thrifty and throwaway about this fruited musk perfume but it’s somehow elevated to minimalist, elegant, and deliberate by the fact I love this brand. So I’m disclaiming there with a bit of admission to confirmation bias Truly santa and truly Italian Angeli has a very clean æsthetic, soapy, white musks driving the mid. The top consists of a very understated melon note blending into a suitably clean and tidy floral accord, can’t really get the exotic edge of jasmine or ylang from this, smells quite the moist, yet aerated ‘white’ floral. I like this balance I think the melon works with the floral works with the musks, it’s a holy trinity, a fragrant SOP which just works and flows perfectly. I like it. Great for spring and summer, fresh and unlikely to offend anyone, they’ll probably just think you smell like you’ve had a wash, which not a bad thing at all.

This is a magical scent. My favorite perfumes are intoxicating but soft. Something that's truly special in composition but not cloying or beast mode. I first smelled this on a girl I used to dance with many years ago. She had amazing taste and smelled wonderful. I asked her what she was wearing, and she told me this. I never forgot, and years later, I thought about it again, bought some for myself, and was hooked. This scent is feminine, crisp but soft, angelic, sexy, womanly. It's floral, fruity, and marine/aquatic all at once. The bottle is incredible too. The hefty, embossed gold cap feels so luxe, and I love the shape. Will forever be one of my favorites and if they ever discontinue it, I will buy enough back ups to last a lifetime.

An easy like for me. I'm a sucker for this scent profile. Annoky below is correct, this scent is in then the J'adore category. I have Caresse de Roses from Nina Ricci and this is quite similar. It's also a little similar to Halloween, the aquaticness at least. This isn't my favorite version of these scents, something about this one is a little too aquatic to the point where it can turn my stomach. But overall, it's a pleasing scent and pretty safe for most people who like feminine fragrances.

such a light and lovely frag, my favorite of the discovery set! it’s fruity and fresh and powdery all at the same time thanks to notes of melon, jasmine, and iris. the sweetness from the vanilla base and peach really peeks through and blends together in a harmony of floral musky sugary goodness. beautiful! not the best longevity but def worth it for the uniqueness of the scent and history of this brand!

Everyday fragrance for day use. I would think this is a perfume no one would hate. Fresh, aquatic, a little bit sweet, shampoo-like. Sits close to skin. I love the bottle, the name and the brand, so I was a little disappointed how generic it was, but might still purchase because this would be easy choice for any daytime occasion. Reminds me of Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone.

Bought myself a full bottle as a treat to celebrate a big life event when I was in NYC in 2023. Tonight I made my bed with a new set of white linen sheets, freshly laundered. Decided to wear Angeli di Firenze as I slipped into my warm, wrinkled sheets--clean, comforting, soft, light enough to spritz before bed. A special fragrance, from a time of simplicity.

The first few seconds - masculine Top - waxy vanilla gourmand Middle - sophisticate, young, feminine, nostalgic, relaxing, meditteranean day-dreaming, vacation at the beach (though never watery), a kind of heavenly, milky pink flower Base - delicate, soft, silky, pink baby powder (but that is not for babies), pink cosmetics. I like it much.

When the initial burst of melon fades a little, a timeless, fragile, tender beauty emerges. I usually dislike melon note, but paired with iris and jasmine here it smells ethereal and clean. Softly powdery, angelic white floral with some aquatic fruity nuances, that are not actually too juicy or sweet.

Like the brush of an angel’s wings: charming, airy, delicate, and almost imperceptible. An exceptionally gentle, almost ethereal composition with a subtly sweet fruity opening. A safe and classic fruity-floral feminine fragrance. So far, the most delicate Santa Maria Novella perfume I’ve experienced.

A fluffy, powdery musk tinged with jasmine, marine notes, and fruits. Fresh ozonic scent anchored to a soft woody base, the vanilla adding a touch of bonus sweetness. Reminds me of fresh clean linens. Soft projection for 2-3hr, longevity 5-6hr.

Melon-forward with soft cashmeran drydown on me. It's a cologne so projection, sillage and beast mode performances shouldnt be expected. Like its namesake, it does feel like floating in an art gallery/garden in Florence

“Go girl, give us nothing!” the fragrance. The opening reminds me somewhat of Artemisia by Penhaligon’s, though Angels of Florence is not as screechy. Unfortunately, after multiple wears, I’ve still yet to interpret any of the notes listed in the pyramid aside from melon. Which, needless to say, I am very disappointed by. It smells solely of cheap melon body spray and dusty vintage aldehydes, incredibly empty and uninspiring... really not sure what I’m supposed to do with this. Additionally, the sillage does barely anything, which is an unusual impression for me to have, as the vast majority of scents I love are skin scents anyway. In Hokkaido Japan freeze dried melons are pretty popular, and this fragrance approximates to the scent left in the package once finished, just melon dust and air lol. I have a handful of fragrances from this house on my to try shelf, I’m hoping the next one I smell will be more engaging, if not, I doubt that I’ll bother with the rest.

A lovely, soft, clean scent. Shampooey in the best way. Its powdery and soapy, but also a bit watery and quenching, like rinsing off in a warm shower. This makes such a perfect bedtime fragrance... fresh skin, fluffy towel, a mist of Angeli di Firenze. It really does smell angelic. For lovers of quieter, skin close scents, this one will delight you. But, I have to say it... there’s something about this that reminds me of Rexona spray deodorant. I hate that it’s where my mind goes, but I can’t un smell it. Still, undeniably pretty. I wish it lasted longer.

wanted to love this one. When I looked it up online, the notes made it sound like the ultimate “clean girl” or “princess” perfume and maybe it is but it turned out to be much lighter and soapier than I expected. It’s fresh and pleasant, but very subtle. It’s another one that works best right after a shower, or even as a light scent for the gym or Pilates something clean, gentle, and easy to wear without overwhelming anyone around you.

My first thought was apples. But I guess it was the melon and peach that I was smelling. I get that and some iris. I can't distinquish any other notes. It's in my top three from the Santa Maria Novella Discovery set. This is a nice, inoffensive scent. But I don't know that I would reach for it. I want more that. It's also very light. I think you would really have to overspray if you wanted anyone else to smell it.

Youthful, dewy melon. This reminds me of the bluebonnet soap my grandmother would put in my childhood bedroom mixed with the cucumber melon shampoo I used in the second grade. This to me is a melon floral, so if that sent profile appeals to you, then this is exactly what you’re looking for. It’s clean and down to earth and very early 2000s.

Smells like a classic perfume, Jasmine, iris, melon is sort of there and musk, sweet and fresh and gentle! Pleasant and reminds me of spring flowers and porcelain. No lasting whatsoever I fear, and some note hiding in there reminds me of talcum powder maybe? SMN has the sweet powdery grandparent perfumes on lock

I so wanted to love this but it just didn’t land. Practically undetectable on my skin, a little better on clothes. The opening is a nice fruity acquatic to me, and the dry down is sweet and powdery, reminds me a little of cotton candy? I also got some Acqua di Gioia vibes, which I would rather wear tbh.

unfortunately the sillage is nonexistent, and I can't even smell myself after an hour. I truly wanted to love this, and judging by the notes I thought I would, but the melon note wears down after 15 minutes and it just smells like shampoo. it's not awful, but definitely not blind buy safe

It’s hard to review this because even when I overspray, I can barely smell it. Of what I can detect, it’s a light, clean, shampooey fruity floral. Honestly it has both the smell and longevity of an average body mist. Not offensive but not good enough to justify a full bottle.

First impressions: I'm sure this probably came first, and was just copied, but this smells like room spray or a candle to me. Not natural, and quite strong. I'm getting beach themed bathroom.

As a lover of the clean fresh smell I would rate this 3/10. It’s not bad at all, but very generic and you can find a thousand perfume with similar notes for half the price.

Santa Maria Novella will always have a soft spot in my heart but this isn't great. At first spray, this feels like you're taking you first bite of a freshly slices melon, as you sit in the sun dipping your feet in the pool. Very aquatic summer sort of vibe. But the drydown... I'm not sure if it's just my skin chemistry but fruity/fresh fragrances usually go well with me. As soon as this dried down it became so sour and rotten. I can almost taste that first bite of melon rotting in my mouth. Presuming the drydown works for you, the projection is poor and this scent unsurprisingly doesn't last. But at least the bottle is pretty!

First impressions: (sample) This is extremely light for it to be a gym perfume imo. Especially when’s it’s so expensive. It reminds me of a issey mistake fragrance I’ve smelled before. All I get is melon + small amount of soap in the very dry down and that’s it. It also reminds me of Clean Rain Clean, and that’s cheaper. The melon note is very reminiscent of a lot of body sprays, and this is no stronger than that for the price.

I really wanted to like this but unfortunately, just a whiff of this gives me a massive headache. I believe its the ozonic/aquatic combo

I recently purchased a Santa Maria Novella Discovery kit: Acqua della Regina - smells like my favorite Bath Roman Premium Hot Herb Bath Salts (soothing ginger, red pepper, yuzu, etc), but not much the next day, the oddball as the only sample not still shouting 24 hrs later Fresia - a very soapy freesia scent, leaves, potting soil, bright sunshine on a perfect day Rosa Gardenia - that pickled floral that I despise, May roses screeching out for justice, The Perfumers Workshop Tea Rose turned spiteful and pretentious Rosa Novella - wonderfully warm, calm, patchouli-rose. Your mom reading your favorite picture book that you got from the library, a copy that was printed in 1990, after you just did a good job dusting the heirloom hardwood furniture with lemon Pledge. Unrelated to Agent Provacateur (cool-skin rose with warm metallic saffron) or L’Agent (boozey-spicebomb rose). Angeli di Firenze - unripe cantaloupe soap, melon gives my tummy a sinking-feeling Melograno - not what I expected from “pomegranate,” and oakmoss in the ingredients surely helps this become a personal favorite. This pomegranate received the Christmas Orange Ornament treatment and smells like all the best memories. Invokes a bodily response of “everything is going to be alright.” Excellent ally to victory in the battle vs holiday anxiety and car sickness! Tabacco Toscano - delicious, quality vanilla accosted by rubbery hickory smoke Pot Pourri - I was not expecting the Noxema scent, the face cleanser which I once bought to smell simply because it was so soothing and enjoyable, knowing it’s an awful product that has no place in a skincare routine. This is the strongest of the samples and smells just as much like a fresh tub of Noxema 24 hrs later, but now with orange peel demanding attention. 48 hrs later evocative of rose and pine forest and all fae folk who live within. Beautiful, and at no point did I see where this perfume was going.

Angeli di Firenze (Angels of Florence) is a thoroughly modern composition of recent origin (2006). It was created to honour the human 'angels' that volunteered, largely spontaneously, to save Florence's art and historical documents forty years early, after the rain-swollen Arno overflowed its banks and flooded the town. While the backstory is quite heartwarming, the scent itself is more coolly subdued and non-committal. Its structure mainly consists of two complex and overlapping medleys. Firstly, at the start, there is a mixed-white floral accord, difficult to identify blindly. It mostly conveys as white floral (jasmine, ylang-ylang), but that Cyclamen accord throws in a curious twist. The opening minutes, with only this floral fugue dominating is the first highlight of Angeli di Firenze's scent arc. The second medley is a more clashing one, inspired by assorted fruit. Especially the bold contrast between sweet-aquatic melonal and dry-green thiols (black currant), though peach is also listed. The combination is somewhat effective, as the two notes partly cancel out the extreme nuances of the other, ...but alas, the semi-sweet, semi dry middle ground may still be challenging, as it mostly suggests a fruit bowl stocked with under-ripe fruit. The powdery vanilla and musk base does its job satisfactorily, while not strong enough to overwhelm that sensation of hard green fruit. It does eccentrically modify it enough that the drydown transforms into an eccentrically malty-sweet and musky powder scent, somewhat carroty in its leaning. This deeper drydown can become obsessively sniffable, and certainly makes for this fragrance's second highlight. All this is fine enough for those that like to sample oddities on a wrist or blotter. While more fervid devotees of unusual powdery scents may be fully drawn in by the drydown.

This smells exactly like Nivea. It is beautiful only because I love the smell of Nivea, but it is not worth the price. It is very linear from initial spray to dry down. It has immense lasting power and projection, but so does Tous Gold. For a cheaper alternative try Tous Gold, it smells almost exactly the same, except I find Tous gold more elevated and effervescent. There are so many fragrances on the market that smell like this. Also I’m not sure where the fruity is from in the notes category. This is a maternal cozy soapy lotion and clean scent that smells like you’ve bathed in Nivea body wash and used Nivea crème after

Why is no one talking about how EXACT this is to J’adore EDP ?!!! The same generic floral aquatic scent I have both, and I sprayed them on both hand, no single difference spotted !! I also looked up their accords and notes; very similar up to 90-95% So; since Angeli di firneze is an EDC with very weak projection + longevity, just go for J’adore EDP if you’re really into this type of smell Overall it is a lovely scent, very fresh, floral, aquatic Perfect for summer/spring

Honestly, this is a very light shampoo or face wipes smell. I think I was expecting more given the brand and name of the fragrance. It’s clean and soft. I oversprayed my sample, and I can barely smell it. It’s melon and musk. Any floral notes are completely overtaken by the melon. I guess this would be good for smelling clean in the workplace, but so many fragrances are good for that nowadays for considerably less money.
