Spanish Leather Cologne

This isn’t really straight birch, but opens up with a rather smooth citrusy, powdery, almost like a citrus-jasmine opening, but then transitions to what I know can more clearly recognize as the hawthorn, even though I wanted to say it was civet, it isn’t dirty enough as such to be civet. I only remembered this because I have smelt slightly-b!tch by Filippo Sorcinelli, and it’s really almost a 1-1 bearing in note correspondence, though it’s not that forward here. So far, it’s a faintly citrusy, maybe more of a smooth birch, supporting a hawthorn that some sort of leafy aspect to it. It might be a violet leaf since it fits closely to what the profile is already, but I can’t say for certain, it could be a faint petitgrain. A bit further down, the birch is made a bit more evident, but not in your face. Overall, I actually like this profile, though personally I would have appreciated if the leather here was less abstract, this is a frag supposedly made in the grand year of 1901, so considering this, I’d say that this was probably a masterclass leather frag of its time, and still is today to some others—just not me personally, though it comes pretty close.
