New York City

On my holidays in Barcelona I have seen some Spanish brands, Santi Burgas, Toni Cabal and I really liked this New York, it is a somewhat bitter citrus, with white flowers in the base and a soft neroli as a prominent note, you can also feel the orange part.

It's a very fresh scent, good if you like to smell clean and citrusy. I like this fragrance a lot the only issue is that it doesn't last that much on my skin.

A light and fresh orange blossom scent. The opening smells like citrus leaf, transforming into a white floral scent. Well done but I am not particularly interested.

NYC starts with a shameless sunny explosion of orange blossom joined by some vegetal notes. I remembered the first time I had gin tonic with ice and pieces of cucumber inside. A green facet that definitely shifts the perspective. And then, as much as I love orange blossom, things become much more interesting once it settles down. Candied ginger, cardamom, acid grapefruit, some earthiness. Notes just balance each other, sharp and soft. New York City is both complex and relaxed scent and I somehow perceive it as a small ode to plants. In the long run, there's one half of it that quite resembles Aroma de Hormiguero, but placed in a much sunnier location. The other half seems cologney-Italian, but not really. An original voice this is.

An absolutely exquisite, natural, fresh and pleasant aroma. The neroli is the star of this perfume. When using it a wave of very powerful freshness envelops you, you feel super clean. By the name of the perfume I think they wanted to say that this is the way New York City should smell. I've never been in NYC, I'd be glad it smelled like that. Very powerful to be a fresh and citrus scent, an amazing sillage and longevity. I give it a very high approval but there are cheaper options that smell very, very similar (like 4711 Original cologne)

Rodrigo Flores-Roux has taken his Neroli Portofino and shifted it slightly more towards the 'masculine'. Lacking any skanky white floral indoles here or dusty powder in the drydown. This is a very bright, sterile Neroli bomb jazzed up with the obligatory citrus over a modern metallic musk + vetiver combo. A very nice 4711 riff but lacks a bit of edge.
