Perfect Coconut Milk

My hooter is very sensitive to synthetics so I was a bit concerned reading the comments below. I should not have worried. It's more natural smelling than the montale or mancera range! It really is lush! Coconutty, vanilla and gardenia. What's not to love. It smells sophisticated and natural actually. I smell good enough to eat. It does have some sweetness but it's just right. I don't smell of suntan lotion. I smell of creamy tropical paradise. Warm, coconutty and exotic. No heavy migraine inducing florals present. I think there is a good amount of musk in here softening and melding all these lovely notes together to create olfactory heaven. It does remind me a bit of the old Models Prefer shimmery bronzing lotion. I'm pleased that I get decent longevity and sillage in the chilly room. It's going to be fantastic in a warm environment.

I just love this and have been wearing this every day for a couple of weeks now. It's pretty and flirty and lovely and warm. I don't know where other reviewers get the car air freshener bit from. If this was what my car smelt like, I'd be in heaven. I have received loads of compliments - especially from men. It's a very soft and feminine fragrance. The vanilla is not overwhelming and the coconut and floral elements give it a touch of sweetness. I find it comforting and never overwhelming - One of those few fragrances that I will never suddenly find nauseating. This fragrance makes me feel like I'm floating through the day on a soft cloud of girly yumminess. The longevity is not bad, eight to nine hours. The only downside is that it may not be an Autumn/ Winter fragrance. I may still wear it though as It makes me smile...

Creamy, luscious coconut. It isn't your standard coconut, as it has flowers. The gardenia—it's Tiare flower, which is a variety of gardenia, the most prized. So, the almond, the Tiare, the vanilla, the tonka bean, the coconut—all creamy, all milky. It's like the warmth of a summer in Hawaii in a bottle. While I agree with another poster on the subject of this perfume line not always using the highest quality of ingredients—not on this beauty. Get the oil, it's the best. P.S. You don't have to spray a perfume to get all the notes. Just rub your wrists together. In fact, spraying usually gives you many false positives because many companies use carriers in their spray versions, like more alcohol. Really? Play Doh? Move along. Nothing artificial here.

Perfect Coconut Milk is absolutely fantastic. I ordered a sample from LS on a whim figuring it wouldn't be anything remarkable. I was so wrong. I put it on and after about 10 mins the initial coconut (which is creamy and beautiful and not plastic at all) settled down and the floral started to emerge with the soft musk and it was just beautiful and delicious and sexy. Whenever I wear it I can't keep my nose away from my wrist, plus my husband loves it as well. I'm thrilled to find a perfume that's not only delicious smelling, but also creamy and sexy. I wish it lasted longer, as I have to apply about 3 times during the day, but even so I couldn't love this fragrance any more if I tried. Definitely my new signature fragrance.

I got a sample of this from Olactif. When I tried it on it wasn't too impressive. It went to a friend at work as my rejects usually do. When she wore it the next day I wanted to take it back from her, it smelled amazing! Of course I bought a bottle of it. The smell of it on my warm pudgy body drove me crazy, it was that good. The coconut teased me in the beginning, then I got the orange blossom, it just kept getting better. By the end of the day I still smelled fantastic. Everyone I annoyed by asking them to smell me loved the perfume also. I will defiantly buy another bottle so I don't run out.

I have a sample of the oil and was intrigued by the tonka, Egyptian musk, and Play Doh notes mentioned here. This is a fresh vanilla to me with a whiff of campfire smoke at the end, which fades quickly but is interesting! I could not stop sniffing my wrist. The tiare/monoi is nicely blended and doesn't take over, and I am still working on identifying any flowers except for a gentle creamy gardenia. I stuck it under my spouse's nose, and he said vanilla. If you like Philosophy's Fresh Cream, you would probably like this as a more sophisticated floral version.

I’m loving this. Creamy, sweet, coconuty, but I get no suntan lotion vibe at all. The gardenia saves it from being at all confused with suntan lotion on me. I can’t stop sniffing my arm, but I can only vaguely smell it at a distance (which is the way I prefer my fragrance to be). I find this to be rather similar to Dolce Garden with this one being a touch sweeter and more subtle with more coconut. I’m trying to talk myself out of getting a full bottle of this for fear it just might be redundant to my Dolce Garden.

This is the first coconut perfume that truly hits the nail on the head for me because I'm a coconut connoisseuse! lol I absolutely adore this fragrance, it reminds me of my childhood in so many different ways. It smells like authentic coconut milk blended with bourbon vanilla beans and brown sugar. I get the slightest hint of the orange blossoms and gardenia which give it more depth. After a few hours it leaves behind a lovely, deep musky scent on the skin that drives me crazy (in the best way possible)!

A gorgeous, rich coconut scent that’s warm, creamy, and comforting. It’s smooth and sweet but not too sweet, blending soft vanilla and a touch of musk. It has an indulgent, more-ish feel - it’s a beautifully crafted, delicious fragrance and one I want to have in my forever collection. 🥥 🤍

When I first sprayed this on, it smelled like a good suntan lotion, as it calmed down, it smelled great. The other notes meander in as the day goes on. By the end of the day I could still smell it, and it was great.

This is one of my favorite bedtime fragrances. The coconut is very comforting and doesn’t remind me of sunscreen, like so many others. It sits close to the skin but wears great.

Perfect Coconut Milk sometimes makes me think of Perfect Car Air Freshener. I can see myself standing on the other side of the glass at the car wash, watching large rubber slats bombard my dad's wood-paneled minivan with lather, as the sweet coconut smell of air fresheners, fuzzy dice, and foot well carpets make their presence known on the fluorescent-lit wall behind me. Fortunately, there is more going on in this fragrance than that. Perfect Coconut Milk opens with sweet marzipan candy. The nutty marzipan strikes a nice balance with the salty sweetness of the coconut and vanilla. Thanks to SHP for the lovely sample. However, as Perfect Coconut Milk warms up on my skin, the gardenia comes out into the open. This is a light, transparent, ethereal and true to life gardenia. The gardenia does a great job of cutting the heaviness of the almonds. It's a nice surprise, considering that gardenia is responsible for the heaviness in many fragrances which include it. Though the coconut itself smells somewhat synthetic, as does something in the sheer sweetness of the fragrance, this in itself is not necessarily a bad thing. Despite its initial sweeter than life quality, the composition is harmonious, and it opens up into something surprisingly lovely, warm, balanced, and wearable though not delicate. If it weren't in the form of a fragrance oil, it would make a great room spray; the projection is very good. In the dry down of Perfect Coconut Milk, a lot of its original dimension disappears, leaving behind a sweet, warm musk that lasts for hours. If you love almonds, tropical gourmands, and aren't a bit deterred by synthetic baby doll types of scents, this one is definitely worth exploring.

All I get is the faintest of cream. That's it, can't smell anything else. :( Edit: So I got this in an atomizer as my first Scent Trunk monthly and it is a totally different perfume sprayed than dabbed. Sprayed I can smell the coconut, vanilla, cream. It's really quite lovely and hovering. Can't tell about longevity yet but this is really quite a nice coconut. A good reminder: often a dabbed sample does NOT give you the true experience of the perfume. Edit 2: Oh dear. So much for this one. I was finishing my decant today and contemplating buying more... But apparently to some folks (friends of mine) this smells like decaying flesh... There was much wondering and investigating trying to figure out where the dead rat was. Everyone could "smell a sweet scent like dead animal." And I realized pretty quickly they were only smelling it when the breeze was blowing from my direction!

This is more of an almondy sweet, vanilla musky scent on me than a coconut-centric one. I do get milky, creamy notes, and some coconut, but I agree that the coconut is profoundly sunscreen-y until the drydown. I can smell all of the notes listed, except the gardenia is a just vague floral note. This would make a lovely inoffensive, comforting skin scent. I like the scent, I'm just not sure it's something I would pay for. However, despite my snobbery at its simplicity, this scent keeps me sniffing it - there's something in the airy-sweet muskiness of it that I like.

This is a lovely very rounded coconut fragrance. The florals, almond and musk keep this more interesting than "just coconut". Very creamy, natural, suntan sensual. I'm not as into coconut as my youngest sister. I wanted to try this to see if it would be a good gift and she will absolutely go crazy for this. I don't know what the 2 reviewers below me are smelling but this is an outstanding coconut fragrance. I think they did not like the gardenia note in here but I think it brings balance. Very tropical. Makes me want to get a suntan lol.

I wholly expected this to be much sweeter and stronger of a coconut scent. So I was perplexed when this was lightly sweet creamy coconut vanilla that has a hint of almond that has been bathed in a fairly strong gardenia - it almost reads like a light monoi (tiare flowers soaked in coconut oil). Orange blossom is not strong at all, but I do get hints of it. There is a musky fixative note here that seems to be quite strong; it lingers to the end. I actually do like this scent. It sits close to the skin, and is quite lovely.

try not to be put off by the initial 15 minutes of Play-Doh and coconut car air freshener. it calmed down and settled nicely into a gardenia-vanilla-musk with decent longevity. aside from the beginning, this isn't coconutty at all, to me. but it's a pretty fragrance, and i think a very little will go a long way. seriously contemplating a fb.

I think this is a great crowd pleaser. It's not to much of anything. It definitely leans more Vanilla Musk than Coconut Cream on me. It unfortunately doesn't last long and I cant smell the Florals but is nonetheless very pleasant. I honestly think this could be worn year round because of the Vanilla being so much more prominent.

A musky, green coconut with a touch of vanilla. Soft sillage with moderate longevity. When it dries down it has a slight "sunscreen" vibe. Because of the freshness, this is a great one for after a shower, spring or summer days.

Powdery sweet coconut. I don’t get sunscreen or plastic smell at all. It’s starts as vanilla coconut dessert then as it mellows the white florals becomes more dominant. Definitely feminine.

Sunscreen vibes. Coconut, tonka and white floral. I wouldn't buy a full bottle but I will happily finish my sample.

Very nutty almond coconut- stronger version of Tracy Ellen bronze, no powder.

A buttery coconut, sits close to the skin on me. Reminds me of the coconut fragrance/lotion from The Body Shop.

I'm sorry for a bad review but this did not work on my skin and with my nose at ALL. My mil used to get her car cleaned professionally and always choose a coconut air freshener after and this smells exactly like that to me. It's overwhelmingly artificial/fake smelling to me. Not only that but very shortly after I put it on me, I had a fibromyalgia pain flare up and it was bad. Ached all over. This isn't the perfumer's fault-it's my body's, but just a warning from those who suffer from fibro/lyme/lupus, as the ingredients in this could make your pain flare. I never did get any other notes except that strong coconut. Sorry.

After wearing a sample for several hours, overall it’s just Ok. I wouldn’t buy a full bottle. And honestly, it gives more of a “Bath and Body Works” vibe than a Niche fragrance one. The notes just don’t blend together nicely. I’m having a hard time detecting the scent pyramid. It starts and ends with a bland mix of ambiguous notes. I really don’t even see myself using up the rest of the sample. That and it’s too much of a skin scent for my tastes. I sprayed it multiple times and can barely detect it. I prefer sillage monsters à la Mugler.

I had high hopes for this one! Honore des Pres’ Love Coconut is one of my faves, but I think this one’s almond note reads too much as Play Doh to me, and that’s one of my dealbreakers for a sweet fragrance. I agree with the adjective “plasticky” that previous reviewers have used. I also found that the pink colour was really staining the label of my sample, which means I’d never spray this near any colour of fabric other than black. This one’s a big miss for me.

It's a light and fresh coconut scent, much in the same style as "Perfect Vanilla"...not too sticky, but sweet. It doesn't work for my skin, but for anyone who loves coconut scents, I would recommend checking this one out. It seemed to have decent longevity, but it was by no means a powerhouse scent.

I think the previous reviewer has it right with "car air freshener". As I was wearing it, I kept thinking it smells totally familiar, though nothing like coconut milk. Very plastic-ky. Tropical plastic fakey air freshener. Good for a car but not for my skin.

Based on the notes, I was surprised at how much I didn’t love this. Maybe I was misled by the name and expected more of a photorealistic coconut scent? It smells very synthetic and doesn’t dry down as milky or creamy as I hoped it would.

I'm not really a fan of white florals, so the gardenia really stands out in this one making it a dislike for me. I think it would be a nice Spring scent for those who like gardenia and coconut. Low sillage, moderate longevity.

I agree with the reviewers who said this had synthetic notes; I'm normally a huge vanilla and coconut fan but this turned really ugly on me really fast, hideously floral with no gourmand fragrance at all. I was about to wash it off when it calmed down and now it's just a faint orange blossom and gardenia with a tiny trace of caramel. It reminds me of a grandmother's perfume from the 1970s honestly (Faberge Tigress, if you remember that) and I am so unimpressed.

For me this straddles that fine line between coconut suntan lotion and a floral scent; frequently the "beachy" scents have lime and tiare or mimosa as predominant notes, and this is almost "just right"--right in the middle. I tried Heeley's Coccobello, and it was too light, too bright, and then settled into a woody weird slightly guaiac/massoia note, very light--actually dissipated within a few hours, probably more authentically coconut than I'm allowing, but it didn't work. I don't want to wear coconut suntan lotion (oh, the memories), but I want something nutty and lasting and reminiscent of post-card memories of the Caribbean. This "just about" fits the bill and has a bit of dark muskiness and a sultry sexiness. However, I also pick up a "play-doh" vanilla that is disconcerting and it bothers me a bit--it has a synth aspect so I'm not sure what it is. Overall, I like--don't love--the frag. I'm searching for a true coconut that is more natural at this point. In the dry down, a whiff of the gardenia appears and it's just perfect! Not Fracas, still gardenia, but very light and wafting over the coco-nutty layers.

On my skin this smells just like Geurlain Terra Cotta. I put this on one wrist and Terra Cotta on the other and really could not tell a difference. For me the only thing that set them apart was that after half an hour the Terra Cotta had already faded and settled into that trademark soft powder Geurlain is known for. This one stayed strong and held most of its notes for several hours, although the Geurlain-like powder facet intensified over time. For me this scent and Terra Cotta are thick powder scents not really reminiscent of anything sunny or tropical. Perfect Coconut Milk smelled absolutely nothing like coconut milk, or coconuts, or anything coconutty at all on my skin. Just like Terra Cotta this smells pleasant enough, but is just too heavy and powdery for a summer fragrance when I want something light, breezy, bright, or juicy. If you're a Terra Cotta fan and want more longevity or intensity, get a sample of this from Lucky Scent and try it out. Wait for the drydown and you might find the intense Terra Cotta that this was for me.

I get beachy sunscreen but a fancy one that has all the nice white florals in it. It's very fitting for summer but I get very self-conscious wearing white florals, even when they are pretty like these. I love a green coconut, I love a dry coconut and in some cases, I do like a sweet coconut even it verges on Mounds bar. This is not any of those. I gave my sample to a friend who loves a white floral and when we once went to a beach, she was sure there were frangipani flowers nearby even though this was not a beach where such flowers would grow and instead she was smelling a fancy sunscreen. She absolutely adores this and wears it in the middle of winter in Quebec!

A very musky coconut with almonds. Creamy, not especially sweet, not at all jarring. Very summery, but would be lovely any time of year. It's really really subtle - the sort of scent you could wear nearly anywhere without fear of overpowering the room. Perfect for layering to round out other fragrances. Right I'm wearing it with Miss Marisa - a very sharpy tangy scent - and found that Perfect Coconut Milk's musky smoothness helps to smooth Marisa's edges.

Writing review for my own reference: It’s a floral waxy coconut that reminds me of play dough or crayons. Actually, it reminds me exactly of the scented Crayola crayons and markers that my toddlers have that smell like coconut. I don’t get any of the realistic coconut smell that others reference at all. For me, “real” coconut evokes more of a fresh green flavor but this is really artificial. Pass.

I love this one! I was looking for a good white floral/coconut scent, which proved to be difficult because I'm not a big floral person. I typically like sweet gourmand Fragrances. This one is the perfect mix of sweet and floral for me. I tried this next to Alien goddess and they are pretty similar.. but goddess had a sharpness in the opening and this was creamier so it won!

This is delicious. It's the perfect blend of coconut, gardenia and vanilla. At first it does smell a little play-dooish but that only lasts for a few seconds and then it begins to melt onto the skin into this glorious coconut gourmand delight. A fabulous coconut scent that is mature and doesn't smell like candy or something marketed to preteens.

This opens with a strong note of adhesive that subsides rather quickly. The coconut emerges and so does a high-pitch floral. The notes say gardenia but it smells like tuberose to me. It overpowers the coconut and makes the name of this scent confusing. Unfortunately, for me, the glue reference does not go away.

I was looking for the perfect coconut but sadly this is not it. I would say this is not a bad coconut fragrance but there is an artificial note that stands out to me. Was hoping for a Blanche Bete style but make it summer. Oh well, the search continues....

I was looking for the perfect sunscreen-y fragrance to wear to the beach!! This is it. I don’t know why people say that’s a bad thing to smell like to me it was just what I was looking for for summer!!! So shocked I liked it

Reporting after wearing this twice: I’m a coconut and vanilla fan, in fact I like all the notes listed. Unfortunately this did not work on me, too synthetic and short lived for me to give it a thumbs up.

Not coconut milk or anything like a real coconut. More of a suntan-lotion "coconut." It's pleasant, but nothing we haven't smelled before in Bronze Goddess or Terra Cotta.

Not for me. The reviews are pretty spot on though. Somewhat suntan lotiony. PM if you want my sample.
