Light Of The Earth Noor-e-Zamin

Everything here is dry and yet smooth. It feels as though all other notes are baked into a dry and smooth vetiver that almost comes across as a sandalwood. There are facets of cardamom, orange (maybe petitgrain and/or a woody neroli) and woods but again it feels like all of these are but tiny facets of a cone of incense labeled "vetiver and sandalwood." Allusions to Drakon by Carner but this is simpler and less exotic. Ultimately this is a dry (have I mentioned this before?) and comforting masculine scent. Meditative even. 7.5/10. Nice but I wish there was something more juicy or sweet to counterbalance the dryness. That being said, if it were to be changed to my preference it would lose its meditative ascetic qualities, and honestly it's nice to have more fragrances like this available. There are so few fragrances that don't go for being overtly seductive or at the least, appeal to a more base desire the way a gourmand might satisfy our sweet tooth.

Masculine, warm, realistic leather accords are what jump out at me. Leather that's been baking under the sun. I think it reminds me of Tuscan Leather or Ombre leather. Not my style but my bf might love this.

What I noticed about Sasva fragrances is that they are quite linear and although they seem to have many notes in their composition, only a few are perceived. This is also the case with Light of the Earth where I could only smell the vetiver and patchouli, a woody, earthy smell, as if I were in a forest and the soil feels moist. It reminds me of something like Encre noire, but I'm not implying that it's identical, just that it's a predominantly vetiver scent.
