Saaqi

Finally my bottle is here. I'm so excited about this gorgeous wine composition. It's been a while since decent wine inspired scent was released so bare with my excitement. I was able to try the mod of it last year and the final result is even better than I remember. Opening is red fruit wine. sweet, laced with notes of wild honey and my nose tingles from the peppery start of things. After about half an hour, it sweetens quite a bit, slowly loosing the tannic wine notes and gaining more of the wet (hookah) tobacco presence. It's absolutely gorgeous, that transition. After few hours Saaqi gets very warm and I am left with prominent blend of caramel and fuzzy softly animalic musk. Not the dirty kind. This will be bestseller for the brand for sure. Sidenote: quite heavy stuff so be gentle with sprays otherwise you can choke yourself out in the summer heat.

Woah! The Red Wine is in the top, big time. Be patient, it settles down relatively quickly. The packaging is lovely and the atomizer is the best in the biz. I am ok with gourmands but they aren’t my favorites. Thankfully, it’s not too sweet I am very happy with my purchase because it’s different from most of my collection.

Best Sasva and probably the best released fragrance in a very long time. This is unique, different and signature. Get it now!! So cool.

Spiced fruit punch. Red fruit, black pepper, caramel, fresh wood chippings. On my second test I got Hubba Bubba bubblegum in the opening, and then sweet wine. Maybe even Dr Pepper or Red Bull (caramel). Super gorgeous and delicious juicy fruity herbal. I can't stop sniffing myself. I bought a full bottle the day after sampling. I like how the sweetness is handled.

I almost opted for a blind buy after reading a review but so glad I sprung for a sample instead. All I get is pepper. Pepper, pepper, pepper. Initial spray: Pepper. An hour later: Pepper. And for the price, I would expect it to last longer. Not that I want it to last longer, unless you want to smell like a pepper grinder. I layered some vanilla fragrances on top to soften it. This is a 'no' for me.

Very interesting opening then moves into a honeyed caramel with a warm, resinous, oud tinged base. Not exactly the same, but reminds me of MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold which, since I already have, will not add Saaqi to the collection. However, a very nice consideration and less expensive addition a collection if you are looking for this scent profile.

Sounds amazing! Saaqi in persian means someone who serves you wine, so maybe the wine note will be prominent? Cant wait ro try it!
