The Whiskey Rose

One of the best if not the best rose fragrance i’ve ever smelt. The rose isn’t super sweet or powdery and it’s blended incredibly well with the whiskey which adds more of a sweetness with a slight booziness in the undertones instead of an “in your face” kind of whiskey. In the dry down I can definitely get the leather, it’s not strong but it’s definitely there in the base. Overall I think this is an excellent scent and very well blended. I could see this being a signature scent for someone who’s mature and sophisticated. 10/10

This is my second favorites rose scent behind The One Mysterious Night but is still a great scent and is in my current top 5 date night fragrances. 5 out 5 banger

My least favorite of the fragrances I've tried from this house. That's not to say that it's a bad scent. Once again, as with all the scents from the house, the blending is smooth, the ingredients quality, the performance great. But I feel a little bit let down with the scent. One would imagine that with a name like, "The Whiskey Rose", there would some kind of boozy element. I was expecting something akin to Baraonda by Nasomatto - a sweet, woody rose smothered in whiskey. This, on the otherhand, is a sort of semi-dark woody scent with a powdery pink rose essence. There's 0 sweetness here and quite a bit of powder, which is unfortunate, because I love the idea of a dark, boozy rose. It also, on my skin, smells quite mature, and could have done with some kind of warmth, some romantic twist. Although nominally a "masculine" rose, this smells so much better on my girlfriend's skin than on mine; her chemistry brings out some warmth and sweetness that my is not present on my skin. So, overall, a worthy scent, just not my thing, and don't expect even a drop of booziness here.

as someone who will buy anything w rose in it, i’ll go to say this is in my top 3 rose fragrances ever opens really true to the name, really alcoholic but not in the bad opening way but more so in a whiskey baraonda type of way. unless i’m getting placeboed by the name that’s what u get in the opening. but the dry down on this is absolutely unreal, i mean this is a rose like no other. i have and have had middle eastern esque roses and also pretty light and airy roses, but this finds a perfect middle ground of being dark and dense while also not feeling too intimidating. also got this packaged and gift wrapped by chris himself when i bought it, was such a cool experience and he’s an even cooler guy. great brand and perfumer to support and can’t wait to get more from him like indicativa auroratory and soul cafe (swear on my life im not a family member or a paid reviewer lmao im j a random ass dude on the internet)

due to its tasty name The Whisky Rose i decided to give my nan a taste... i did not expect her to follow through she decided to drink this after 10 minutes of me trying to calm my nan down from seizing she said quote on quote "im fucking tipsy boss" she then had to get strechered out of the house saying I "feel young again!!" she has been in A&E for a week and she is on life support about to meet the grim reaper...
