Night Star

This is very beautiful feminine fragrance and its available in USA at www.aquadeluna.com You can even order a sample before you buy it. There is a holiday promotion going on right now, so its a good chance to try it. I personally love this!!!! Its actually was inspired by the samples they found on the Titanic a few years ago. The base for this fragrance is a very rare Rose, and it does smell like a flower from another planet!!!

It is indeed a beautul fragrance. I get the middle florals strongly . It's sillage is very good as I am writing having only just got it it's getting deeper and I can smell a touch of the vanilla.

To qualify this as simply a rose scent is a terrible injustice! It opens with the bright citrusy bergamot and delicate lily of the valley then blends seamlessly into an intoxicating rose tempered by violet, sweetened and enriched by hawthorn, heliotrope and vanilla then cradled by sandalwood. It’s unconventional and quite captivating. It’s not a scent I would expect to encounter often due to the unusual elements from a different time that aren’t mainstream/common these days. As for when to wear it, it’s a bright uplifting spring or summer daytime type of scent with a deeper full heart that isn’t casual but wouldn’t fall into the elegant category either. I couldn’t see someone past their 40’s wearing this as it has a tart fresh note that speaks of youth/naivety and daydreams.

I think the "rosa maris" the fragrance is based on is probably just a title given to the scent that's left when a number of vials have broken, others turned rancid or reacted some unknown way to the pressure under the sea etc. It would explain why the fragrance also needed to be toned down somewhat. (At least I hope so!)

I'm a little confused about this whole convoluted story and premise about "the reproduction of a Titanic scent" , when in fact the actual final product "Night Star" is not after all an authentic reproduction at all (???). In fact, from what I've gathered the only thing they actually share is a central rose note.
