Apricot in Cognac

i usually dislike warmer fragrances on men but THIS ONE? my boyfriend picked it out from his scent bird and i’m so addicted i could literally eat him. super creamy sandalwood and sesame with fleshy apricot. maybe a little underripe even, it’s probably still a little firm when you bite into it / the scent isn’t too syrupy. i usually hate peach/apricot because of the lactonic nature, it makes my stomach turn. but this one really plays into the creaminess of the wood as someone said before. a little bit of booziness, and the benzoin is minimal but adds the right amount of depth to make it super intoxicating. i don’t get a ton of juniper, but just enough to add some freshness and balance out the vanilla base. it’s quite light, which i appreciate with something boozier. he uses 9 sprays but by the end of the day after i can still smell it clearly on him when i get up close. gonna buy us a bottle to share at some point lol. Linear and smooth, but fantastic scent.

Apricot in Cognac is really pleasant. I do get strong apricot and orange as the main players. The scent does have a slightly boozy feel, but not overly so. It is not synthetic smelling at all and has quite a good performance, especially for this house. It is rather unisex, but perhaps very slightly feminine leaning, but men can defined ware this. When smelling upclose to the site of application, it reminds me of deep orange flavored hard candy, but in the air it has a more of apricot-velvety, slightly boozy feel. I highly recommend this fragrance.

Love at first sniff- I was immediately enamored by the honeyed, boozy apricot note. There are a several missing key notes here which are orange flower, amber, neroli, and jasmine. I felt obliged to point that out because this ultimately dries down to sweet and nectary white florals with woody undertones. 10/10 - I highly recommend sampling this if you'd like an interesting take on white florals.

intoxicating! It is sweeter than most of my other scents but the woody tones and warmth round it out well. tart, fruity, woody and boozy. It is very well balanced with such a beautiful dry down that it makes your eyes roll back. I tested it and bought it same day, its an immediate winner and something i have been missing in my collection.

Apricot in Cognac is a beautifully crafted, mouthwatering peach accord that takes me back to sniffing Trésor by Lancôme from my mom’s vanity. But this fragrance has a woody base, giving it a lighter, more unisex feel.

Sweet Apricot but where is Cognac? The first things that comes to mind when I'm thinking about Scent of Wood are rich textures, dark tones and intense aromas. "Plum in Cognac | Scents of Wood" was exactly like that. You could sense the aroma of the oak barrel in it, although the scent is clearly a fruity plum scent and the cognac aroma is also refined and gentle. "Apricot in Cognac" is clearly even more refined. You can barely detect a boozy aroma from the scent, it is more of Vanilla Apricot with an extremely soft creamy base. The vanilla aroma is formed by a combination of benzoin and Sandalwood and roasted sesame makes the scent really pleasant, soft and adds a gourmand-like essence to it. The scent is sweet, delicious and very easy to use. I personally miss more character in it so that it wouldn't be so clearly gourmand. Apricot is well made and the scent does not seem synthetic in any way. It is balanced, high-quality, and an excellent concoction in every way. The scent is unisex, but its sweetness and simplicity leans towards the feminine. To my nose, the citruses do not stand out clearly, nor does Juniper Berry. I wore a whole sample of this fragrance and was excitedly waiting to see if it would reveal any new aspects, but it didn't. The scent leaves nothing to be guessed at, it doesn't swirl with mystery, but rather charms gourmand friends with its irresistible edible essence. This is a good scent. Not blown away but it has its place. One complaint is that this was my 3rd bottle and what I noted was that the atomizers have a tendencies to leak right around the top of the bottle. On to the good news this scent smells good. There is a use for this scent for anyone that wants to smell like a fresher take on cognac. There is a lactonic note in this scent that you can smell but while my skin is super adverse to any milky notes, this one was toned down. While I now find myself with a full bottle of this, I cannot say that I will just be wearing the mess out of it until fall. When I do, I may come back and add to the details of this scent. Yummy lactonic apricot and sandalwood primarily. I don't get much sesame or I don't know what to look for. It took me a while to realize what it reminded me of, and it's fig! Not the super green leafy kind, the sweet fruity lactonic kind. It's fairly similar to delice de bois to me but I smelled this one first. The drydown also has an element similar to Rose Ishtar but I'm not sure what the overlapping note is there, if there is one. This is an easy wear and a compliment getter. Great gourmand if you don't like em too sweet or vanillic.

I had high expectations for this perfume. I love Plum in Cognac and hoped Apricot in Cognac would be just as good. Unfortunately, all I get is fake butter and ambroxan. Sad.

Common materials for apricot and peach accords (c14, decalactones etc) are often used in milk accords as well, so it does exactly what i would have expected it to do. It brings out a very lactonic, creamy aroma in this blend, especially combined with the sandalwood and sesame notes. It isn't a fresh, fleshy apricot but milky, creamy, lightly fruity. Tangerine and orange blossom are almost undetectable but adding a touch of fresh fruity sweetness. The sesame is rather subtle, not like sesame oil but more so the scent of roasted, dry sesame, which adds an almost nutty nuance. Combined with lots of sandalwood forming an extremely creamy, subtle, warm, delicious, bright and sweet skin scent that’s verging on gourmand. 7.5/10

This is one of the best perfumes I have tried recently. Immediate love. It made me groan at the drydown. It is warm and woody with a very realistic juicy apricot shining through. It's like peachy rays peeking through a shaded forest. All the green leaves gone from the branches. The leaves have floated down, turned their fall shades as they settled. There is no rot here. It feels crisp and cushioned all at once. It lasts and lasts on my skin and clothes. Makes me feel serene and warm. Worth every single penny.

This smells really good, mainly juicy apricot and tangerine, sesame seeds add a different element to it that I can't explain almost like a bread kind of vibe but not really, that sits way in the background, the cognac just elevates this too. I almost can't believe what I'm smelling right now. It also changes the more it dries down. wow just wow. This is perfectly unisex and, in my opinion, can be worn in every season (go light in the summer and you should be alright).

Not at all what I thought this was going to smell like, I can only say apricot because it's on the label, but that is not a note I could have guessed on my own...most of what I get smells like fake butter...it has some smooth depth and is well crafted, but on my skin...all I get is Land O' Lakes...
