Nashwa Extract of Parfum

Wow! Intense citrus, cocoa and oud opening. The parfum strength is very evident. You can easily imagine an elegant Arab lady or gentle.an wearing this in the intense dry heat. A wonderful, unisex cocoa/coconut/oud creature of the Middle East. A sophisticated gourmand. I say gourmand but it's not very sweet. Mmm..I cant stop sniffing my wrist 😁 There is something about this which makes me think of a expensive cocoa based liqueur with a bit of toffee present. If you are normally wary of oud then do try this and you might become a little more brave. The dry, dusty oud tames the potentially sickly cocoa/coconut combo. No danger of smelling like a Bounty bar. Slowly with time the sweetness eases further and it is more masculine and oud centered. Very nice. A bargain price to.

Seriously amazing, one of the absolute best fragrances. It’s decadent, mouthwatering but not overly sweet. You really get the coconut and some oud and the chocolate adds sweetness. I bought this for my husband thinking it would lean masculine and it does but only slightly. I see it as more unisex. But I LOVE it on him, it’s soooo good. I reached out to Shay & Blue to see when this would be back in stock and they said the extrait version has been discontinued (in the bottle pictured) and when they re-release it, it will be parfum concentration and in the regular bottle. They sent me the last extrait bottle they had. Super sad- at least I was able to get one of the original ones though.

Very much like the Halfeti type, Cairo, Constantinople type PenhaIigons perfumes but MUCH more affordable. If you like those, you will like this one. I get the oud coming through strong...you must like oud or you won't like this. That said, this is a very well blended perfume, more woody than gourmand. Not at all sweet. Very unisex. If you want to girly it up, wear over an orange blossom or tea rose lotion. To bring out a more gourmand side, use coconut lotion. All 3 work well with it. Definitely worth the money. Shay and Blue has outdone themselves with this one. EDIT- if you want to smell something amazing, mix Nashwa with Black Tulip. It's totally incredible. 😎

I bought the new EDP, which smells identical to my extract sample. Such an amazing fragrance for the price. Rich, deep, totally unisex. I can’t make out individual notes, it smells perfumey more than gourmand, and definitely no stinky oud here, reminds me of the oud in the kayali range, nothing to be scared of. Has that kind of vanilla sweetness, maybe tonka, but without being like vanilla extract at all, maybe a bit tobacco-like? Has a feel of side effect but without the rubber and I’d say it’s maybe a bit sweeter overall. I have nejma 7 and it does have the most similarities with that, but this is less coconutty. A very intoxicating, evening or winter fragrance.

A great scent. The oud, coconut then chocolate and neroli make themselves known on the opening. It smells just like the notes listed above. The materials smell good quality. They have categorised this scent as an oriental woody which is fair but it is but a jump away from gourmand. I'm not a big oud lover but I am really enjoying this sophisticated beauty. It's not very sweet and perfectly unisex. My only disappointment is that the chocolate and coconut don't last much longer. Impressive longevity and silage.

This is beautiful! I am a woman with a love of rich, strong and woody fragrances. This is a gorgeous woody neroli with warmth from the cacao and coconut. It leans masculine for the women who like femme fragrances but if you like oud with a touch of white floral, this is gorgeous.

An absolute BANGER of a fragrance. Seductive, sweet, coconut with so much depth. Just enough coconut, mixed with a slightly resinous cacao. Upon first spray, I knew this would turn into a full bottle!

Feels almost like ‘oud-lite’ but in a wonderful way. It emanates for hours with warmth and spice. It can be layered with rose/vanilla to bring out the feminine side. I’m a big fan.

This is a total banger. Just the right amount of sweetness and smells luxurious.

Black Tulip is their best, this is a close second. I would maybe like this a lot more on a man, but it is definitely something a woman can wear with confidence. Smells like quality. I did not enjoy the opening but 5 minutes in it becomes addictive. It smells rich and seductive. I am not a fan of oud because I feel like it overpowers and ruins all the other notes, but I like this one.

No oud. Nice blend of cocoa, coconut, musk and bergamot. quite feminine.

This one is okay! I have a tester of it. I like the opening and middle notes; the cacao and coconut in particular are really nice. Unfortunately it's very oud-y and that's what ends up lasting the longest. It would be nicer if there was something else in there to offset against it. Because there isn't, it goes from slightly feminine to unisex, to bordering on masculine - which isn't what I was looking for and so I won't be buying a full bottle.

There's a lot of Oud in this, I can barely make out the other notes and it's a masculine scent to me. I was hoping for more cocoa and coconut as I enjoy gourmands. The bergamot is barely noticable, which is a shame, because it really needs it to lift the composition. I'm sure it would be great for someone who likes Oud, but I'm not keen on that smell at all. Oud is very popular at the moment, but it just reminds me of wood polish and the inside of antique wooden cupboards. Sillage is good, longevity is a good seven hours.

Oh Parfum Nashwa...! You could have been so beautiful - if only there wasn't that strong neroli note... Neroli ruined everything for me. I was really intrigued by the combination of notes... coconut and cacao in the heart with oud and musks at the base; this all sounded very promising to me but unfortunately, what I was hoping to be a big love turned out to be such a huge disappointment. Parfum Nashwa opens with a blast of strong, heady neroli that stays strong and linear all the loooong way through, until it settles down to a somewhat creamy woodiness, that's neither dark nor exotic, as I hoped it to be. Unfortunately, I cannot detect any cacao or coconut. Besides some faint oud and musk at the base, the only other note I can detect is neroli.... A true disaster on my skin, but I can see it working for some with the right chemistry. Very long lasting with a strong sillage. Nothing synthetic here. High quality for sure. Tested from a sample I ordered straight from the shay & blue website. Give it a try if you love neroli.

Chocolate coconut that isn't or is almost a gourmand! It's a cute blend of almost a gourmand. It starts with choco coconut then slowly transforms a bit to a musk citrus choco coconut. It doesn't have oud, or most probably the original oud as (IF IT"S THERE) then it's the European style and not the oriental one. The colder the more soapy musky it becomes and indeed it does smell similar to "#7" by Nejma. A very easy to wear blend that tricks you that it's a choco gourmand blend while it only begins with that combination but then the musk, bergamot, citrus mix conquer the scene. I'm not sure about this fragrance as i didn't see it on their website, or most probably when you write "Nashwa Shay and blue" in google it gives you a link to it, and when you click the link it goes to Nashwa's page for partial of seconds but then transfer you immediately to their main page. So as far as i know "Nashwa" means ecstasy in Arabic, and it's an ok fragrance to be specific, it's very easy to wear and very common to be honest. fair.

This is stunning! So many compliments I find that it morphs between feminine and very masculine depending on my body temperature. Does anyone know if this is the same scent as the Parfum Nashwa that I purchased from the shay and blue website? It doesn’t say extract on the 10ml spray bottle just Parfum Nashwa and it doesn’t seem to have a 60ml bottle option. I want to buy a bigger bottle but I’m afraid it won’t be the same scent.

I really wanted to like this, but unfortunately it's a one dimensional and somewhat messy. The orange blossom is oily and rich, probably the only natural aromachemical here. The middle notes are almost believability luxurious yet at the base this falls apart into a cheap musky mess.

Sweet dense chocolate with oud taming it in the background. Very borderline unisex absolutely amazing date night scent. Blind buy worthy if you can find it
