Tallulahs Camellia

Tallulah's Camelia is a big blast of gardenias, lilies, and bluebells upon initial spray. These florals smell handsome and sporty to me...a little dandy-ish. Surprisingly, they are not very dainty, delicate, or ultra-femme. Smelling this makes me think of an attractive group in their Wimbledon whites playing a nice game of croquet on a lush green lawn. This is a floral-forward scent without being too floral, if that makes any sense. The tea note in here is very noticeable and lends the fragrance a greenish quality. I can't help but think of sunny days and beautiful gardens, when I smell this. I think this would work really well on anyone, any time, any place. I like my scents to last long, so I would definitely give this a few extra sprays. This is so clean and classy though, I doubt anyone would mind...Good stuff.

This is so well done. So many florals of this nature veer into old-lady territory, but this is a timeless, ageless, beauty of a perfume. My synesthesia tells me this is a porcelain doll of a perfume. Prim, pristine, pretty, and clean, but still young and very wearable. I don't really pick up the gardenia here, but I don't miss it. For me, it's mostly hyacinth, lily, and tea. This isn't an overly cold or green hyacinth, and the lily isn't reminiscent of funerals like so many lily notes are. The tea brings the florals together so seamlessly, and while it is a bit "shampooy," it's a contender for my everyday/signature scent right now. Love love love this one.

I love it so much! I received it in an advent calendar by M&S this year and I was blown away. It is not long lasting (2h max) but it is so fresh and romantic. I believe there is no single person who can be offended by this one. It is quite feminine and gentle but I do not mind wearing it during the spring when everything smells like white flowers. Amazing fragrance, amazingly bad longevity.

Tallulahs Camellia is a very fresh, light floral. I can't detect any particular flower but it feels quite realistic - like you've walked in to a florist and are surrounded by freshly cut stems. There's also a buttery quality to this scent and maybe even something slightly minty? It doesn't develop much and feels quite linear but not in a boring way, just in a simple and pretty kind of way. I feel like the person who wears this has a romantic/arty aesthetic i.e. wears vintage floaty dresses but also has really cool tattoos. I got this perfume as part of bundle and it isn't something I would have necessarily sought out for myself. As such it doesn't feel very 'me' but I appreciate that it's different to anything else I own. I think this scent is great for those who like florals that don't lean too sweet, fruity or hardcore jasmine. However, as with all Shay & Blue fragrances the lasting power isn't great.

Very pretty. If you have someone in your life who is quite feminine and romantic then you cant go wrong buying them this lovely. My first thought was of Cacharel Anais Anais from when it first came out in the 70s. The same vibe but with lots of tea and fluffy musk. It's a refined floral to wear with a pretty floral dress. The Hyacinth and white florals are well blended. I smell soft, silky white petals. Why is it called Tallulahs Camellia? I was hoping for a camellia scent. Average longevity and sillage. I can't imagine not at least liking this inoffensive soft floral/tea leaf scent. One for the Far Eastern market.

This fragrance really reminds me of Gucci Bloom, though it is definitely a bit greener/earthier. The white florals are extremely present upon the initial spray, but after it dries down, it transforms into a lovely, well-blended, warm, earthy floral scent. The longevity and sillage of this fragrance aren't great, though. It projects for the first ten minutes, but as it dries down, it becomes an intimate skin scent almost immediately. It also completely disappears within three hours, so I'm extremely disappointed with the performance. It smells great upon the initial spray, though!

A very gorgeous, innocent, ladylike perfume ..very pretty, bridal..I love it BUT As is true for most S&B scents, the performance is abysmal. It's more of a toilette than perfume..it's a real hit and run. Sprays on beautiful and very well blended florals..on skin it just disappears--It does better in clothes. I need performance, so as much as I love this, and I really do!--will pass on an FB. It just isn't worth dropping $120 on it.

I find Shay and Blue perfumes linear and not always well blended, but this one is okay. Moderate like. I was disappointed by the terrible quality of Framboise Noire and Tonka Angelica. The white florals in this one smell as if you took Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford or Drop D’Issey and subtracted the rum vanilla accords. This is a slightly green white floral that is alright but it needs more depth. There is an aspect to the Gardenia and bluebell combination that reminds me of Play-doh. Very photorealistic lilies with a hint of peppery soil like in Zara Elegantly Tokyo.

I hate hyacinth - flowers, perfume everything.. but I really like this! The tea note is amazing! Everything is is soft and subtle. This makes me think of going on a rowing boat on a warm but not hot, summers day! I was also reminded of Eau De Gaga because of the tea note. This feels more natural, very smooth. Soft performance but it’s so nice....
