De Ma Mere

Lovely linden and beeswax sing with a rich backdrop of honey. Spring in a bottle. A definite skin scent but gorgeous.

De Ma Mare is one of the most interesting fragrances I have. It's likely also the sweetest one I've ever owned, and surprisingly I can wear it, as sweet as it is. It's mostly linden sweetened with honey, a very bright yellow sunny fragrance that is in no way aquatic or citrusy. I favor it because of the linden (also called lime blossom for some reason) which is one of my favorite smells in the world. Of course the real thing is better, but this perfume makes a valiant effort. Quite linear and surprisingly long lasting, it just gradually softens until it goes to sleep on my skin several hours later. This is my second Shelley Kyle fragrance, and I'm currently 2 for 2.

I'm not quite sure why, but this perfume instantly reminded me of walking down the walkways at Disneyland, smelling the beautiful plants and flowers and just generally being in a place of happiness.

Light, feminine, powdery linden blossom scent. Very pretty. The amber and beeswax are in the background playing supporting roles. Stays pretty linear on me. Definite niche quality.

I've worn Shelley Kyle scents since the 1990's, they are all very well done and relatively long-lasting. I have her original scent and De Ma Mere, of the two, DMM is my favorite. It's light and clean, with a pretty linear note of linden that warms slightly with the addition of bees wax and amber. It gets a lot of compliments, esp. from men!

This is the best I've ever seen linden done. It's fresh floral and sweet perfect summer spring or anytime really. My friend who doesn't like linden or mimosa loves this frag. Well done such a high class well balanced all of hers are wonderful except for signature and McLennan it's too citrus.
