Ginza Datura

A mature woman who uses spicy vanilla moisturizer, has shoulder-length black hair and is incredibly sexy but in a careless way. While deep in thought, perhaps while smoking a cigarette (because I sense something like incense... maybe the palo santo?) she drops something on the floor. She leans to pick it up, which allows you to see the intricate lace of her bra for a split second. You're dying to hear her voice, but she stays silent, completely uninterested in anything external.

As a fan of the Ginza line, i was amazed to see that this latest flanker is so much different. I mean why buying versions of the same original that smell 90% similar between them? See Libre... So, Ginza Datura from first spray hits you in the face with the surprising creamy, sexy Mon Guerlain-y lavender vibe. It quickly turns into classy, elegant, unisex (yes) gorgeousness. Safe blind buy though! Shiseido does it better and better, keep them coming!

Whoever added Dior Addict to perfumes that smell like this - 100% yes! I smelled it at the shop and bought immediately. It's definitely got the creamy heady quality of the original Dior Addict cva 2001, minus the boozy woods. Absolutely lush creamy grownup fragrance - I wil stock up. The bottle is a joy to look at too - those automiser bottoms are means to look like petals, right? Gorgeous.

Tested in Douglas. Its very interesting. The opening is strong floral with grapefriut. Than you can smell the unique flower. I cant describe the smell, but very elegant and plesant with the woodsy note.

I have already tried this perfume and it is absolutely fantastic! It is something different, a datura flower composition with wood is so addictive. Finally, a very unique perfume! :)

dark, sensual, and powdery clean. gorgeous. could very much be a signature scent. something special in the sea of overly sweet new releases.

This is good. More wood and pepper focused than the OG and is less related to the rest of the Ginza line. Probably suits a slightly older audience than the others. Full bottle worthy for me - it's still fresh and clean like the other Ginzas but it's clean peppery wood vibe is unique. I think there's more going on here than the note pyramid suggests, there's something peppery/spicy that seemingly isn't accounted for. This is what I want to smell like on a clear, chilly Autumn day.

To my nose this is a lovely ylang-ylang and sandalwood fragrance. Nothing toxic or dangerous about it as I initially hoped.

Im not familiar with Shiseido game regarding parfumes. This one is interesting, but nothing for me. Interesting, dry, unisex smelling to me. Maybe for more mature individuals. I tried it from the sample and after a while it dissapeared on me, but others noticed it.

Woody fragrance with berries. Kind of sour and dry. That datura note really reminds me of Nina by Nina Ricci. It's okay. Not offensive to me but I would never reach for it.

With the Datura flower as a note I had high expectations for this fragrance. The flower grows in my garden and it has a really light intoxicating sweat scent. I got nothing from that unfortunately. It is mostly yellow flowers, must be the ylang ylang which I hoped it was not that prominent. So my search for a really fotorealistic Datura scent is still going on...

Very boring, generic perfume smell. This is the kind of smell clothing stores sold in the early 2000's. At the opening, this has a dirty note of soil and somehow also smells of acetic acid (vinegar). No clue what would give it those notes...!

To me it smells the same as Mon Guerlain but without its depth. Like a cheap copy fragrance of Mon Guerlain. Very disappointed.

No, No, No! This has nothing to do with the refined subtle elegance I expect from Shiseido. It's cloyingly sweet and smoky in an Angel type of way. I don't want to smell of Palo Santo and it's literally all I get after the first fruity floral blast has disappeared. I have been considering Ginza for a while and I'm still waiting for a flanker that delivers what the og is lacking for me. Reader, this is definitely not it. I sprayed this on ~30min before a shower because I assumed I could have the benefit of skin-testing without committing but wow, the formula is strong so I needed some scrubbing. Who is this for? Girls who want a strong sweet smoky scent to last a night out in a smelly club (and have either not been alive in the 2000s or want that period back). To me, this fragrance isn't office friendly or casual at all.

For some reasons i have a hard time getting the ylang in itself from this, the initial blast giving me a "This is her" vibe, with a cozy chestnut aspect, probably from the woods mixing with the ylang. These woods are indeed very present since the beginning, and with the datura coming in it settles into a dry and creamy woody floral scent, overall what it says on the tin. I like it but it leans a tad bit ""mature"" for me, it would maybe fit me better in ten years or so. I'm longing for more palo alto scents in women marketed perfumes tho.

As a big Féminité du Bois nostalgic, every time Shiseido has a new creation I run to the store - and every time it's frustrating. Except this time. I was not expecting much since the Ginza serie did not move me at all. But this one is different! They caught the "dark" spirit of FdB quite well, and somehow, even if it's more distant from FdB than the SL version, it has caught its spirit. I'm wondering if at Shiseido they are conscious about this fact.

On a card this is very woody. On my skin this one is woody, floral and berry. The wood sits dry. It's deep, and unisex. Not akin to dior addict. Could mix it with ginza night I like

It's like an almost spicy white floral, mostly lily-ish and very sweet. Not what I would go for personally, in sweet _or_ floral scents.

A parfum like from 2000's. i think about so much and i remember finally: Paul Smith London!!!
