Zen for Men Sun

I'd have to say that the opening of this fragrance is the best of the Zen's in my opinion. It's a fresh blast of Yuzu and mint but still with the pear note from the original...lovely. Zen sun smells really nice but not much in the way of progression in this fragrance though and the drydown is soft much like the others but it didn't quite have the longevity for me. Great summer fresh scent that is a good option for those who like designer fragrances but want something slightly out of the ordinary.

This is one of the best summer perfumes released in the last years. Unfortunately it is just a limited edition. I find the combination yuzu, mint, pear and cedar very refreshing, manly and nice. It makes me addicted to it. This perfume lasts 7 hours on me with average sillage. It makes me feel good but I don't know why - maybe because of the so-called secret "zen" ingredients that make you feel like a buddhist zen master ;)

Just got this. Not bad. Reminds me a lot of CK One Summer 2013, but with no melon and yuzu in its place. The amber is completely superfluous, and its heaviness detracts from the other notes. I don't know why fragrances of this genre always have to have the same registers of contrast. This would have been more interesting without the amber. Maybe some cardamom and/or some cinnamon. The violet is beautiful. The pepper is de rigueur, of course. The mint should have been played up more, if for no other reason than to balance the lumbering amber. Zen White Heat for men is, in my opinion, a much more interesting and delightful scent. I'm glad I have this one in my collection, though. It's pleasant and I know that I'll enjoy it from time to time this summer. 6.75/10 Update: I deaccessioned this on 8/4/13. The powdery dry-down is just too much. I really tried to like it, but just couldn't make it work for me. Putting it on eBay if anyone's interested.

I'm not with the enthusiastic comments below. Although it starts fresh and promising, it soon develops into something that might as well belong to the Mexx range of budget scents. Very mediocre and not really fresh at all. Considering I'm a true fan of the original male version of Zen, this one is a disappointment. **

Compared it side to side with Just Cavalli Blue and Aramis ICE. This one is sweet in a good way. I prefer this one more for a summer holiday.
