Chanalaj

Chanalaj SIAM 1928 (First Edition) Today, I wear Chanalaj for the first time. Chan (จัน) in Thai means : Moon another world we borrowed from Sanskrit. Nalaj (นาลัจ), we don't particularly use this word a lot but the root of word is "Lotus" born. As Anodart and Himmapan (Thai Folklore) was a core inspiration for SIAM 1928. It can either means : A Lotus born from Moon, A Moon Lotus either on personal interpretation. Chanalaj aims to create a refection of Anodart pawn. ===== Actually, when I wear this scent. I don't think of Moon. But more like a powdery scent. "Din-Sor-Pong" (ดินสอพอง) a compact powder. Using mill marl stone mix with Floral and spice. Aim to use for wilder area on body. I have softer smell and more earthy aroma than "Pang-Him-Rum" (แป้งหินร่ํา). I really create gentle watery effect with pollen smell of Thai powder. When mix with clean water (this one, refers as Lotus and Clementine aldehyde). Lite adjustment of aquatic floral material. It say 6 hours before last as noticeable skin scent. Like a musky musty powder. similar effect as Din-Sor-Pong. I think this work in more liter manner. ===== I can't help but feel gentle when I wear Chanalaj. A soft gentle powder. If I have to classified this scent in more Western manner. I will classified as Mimosa-powder scent. This review is particularly for Chanalaj I not Chanalaj II (seems change to Ylang). I think I found another enjoyment using Mimosa in perfumery. Love this.

This one is very vintage to me because it reminds me of my visits at my grandfather's old traditional house during my childhood. It smells powdery like freshly bathed women in the evening, clean and calm and very pleasant The sillage is perfect, not too strong and not too light. Love this one very much and would recommend everyone to try.

Very, very ylang/yellow floral dominant to my nose. Not too much going on that I can pick up on other than that. It isn't bad, especially if you're a fan of ylang ylang, but it has nothing on the other scent I've smelled from this brand, Karawik.
