SandPort

SandPort really highlights the importance of not leaning too heavily on descriptors and, when possible, taking the pilgrimage to smell things for yourself. Buying blind, a "weed and beer" fragrance would not have been the sample I chose to add to cart. This is a really authentic unisex fragrance, masterfully crafted to carefully balance fruity and herbal. Despite being IPA-inspired, it's not particularly aldehydic or bubbly, but rather very warm and round. The passionfruit and grapefruit are doing some heavy lifting, but the end result is herbal, fresh, and tangy rather than piercing, tart, or sour. Tasteful cannabis and patchouli notes that don't read as overbearing at all. I don't know that I have too much to say about this one, other than it being absolutely stunning. SandPort will be earning a place in my full-bottle collection once I get the chance. The perfect summer fragrance, especially if you live in a hot or tropical climate.

The opening is full of grapefruit and orange with that hint of cannabis (just the right amount). It takes a while to reach the dry down to the vetiver and patchouli but still the grapefruit is dominant in this perfume but more greeny in the dry down. The perfume is well blended and balanced but different at the same time (in a good way).
