Amor Fati

Fizzy pine needles... Mix blend of humid cooling forest with naturally carbonated and sparkling water. This is a scenery blend in a bottle. The opoponax is adding that dark mysterious touch to the blend which makes it quite noble. I don't know if i can detect palo santo, but def i can't detect any oud (at least so far)! The more i dig into this brand, the more i get infatuated. My favorite so far are 1+Aqua Virdi (not in the Database) 2+Anima Mundi 3+Amor Fati Amor Fati is a contrast between light and dark, and i believe the contrast is forming a scene in the wood. Beautiful.

This is a perfume that's steeped in the tradition of natural oil blends and aromatherapy, but in a witchy way. The citrus and coniferous notes give a lift to what might otherwise be a lugubrious fusion of solemn woods and resins. Palo Santo seems to be the note du jour, but here it's singularly pungent and beautiful. Amor Fati is uplifting in a medieval sense, like Hildegard of Bingen's cell. Its roughly-hewn quality won't be for everyone, but I personally really love this.

Very pleasant fragrance, but lacks in performance. I received the discovery sample set for Christmas. Amor Fati is the first of four I have sampled. Very appealing fragrance that is totally unisex and one that can be worn for any season. Nicely done. The downside of this fragrance is performance. I got about 4 hours wear from the initial application with close to skin/body projection. I haven’t checked the pricing on full bottles - if the cost is mid-range, it may be a solid purchase. The scent is that good. The story about “Sigil” is interesting - check it out. Enjoy your day and happy fragrance hunting.

Beautifully, warmly woody without falling prey to excess or sentimentality. No hint of smoke to drag it down -- this is freshly scraped planks from aged hardwood, like in Geppetto's woodshop. There's a pot of Earl Grey tea brewing in that woodshop: Bergamot uplifts the scent, making it wearable by men/women and in day/night alike. The subtle spice after dry-down makes this feel like a fall/winter scent, but it's wearable year-round. Like many Sigil scents, it doesn't persist as long as I'd like ... so if you love the scent, you might find yourself re-applying throughout the day. It's worth it.
