Fico Nero di Sardegna

This is the fig I was looking for. After the fiasco with Alluring Fig, all that praising that it has a slight vanilla drop in it, which smelled like plastic being burnt on me, I was looking for something with a tad more longevity than my favorite Phylosikos by Diptique. This is very much like Phylosikos only cheaper in price (140€ for 100ml vs 160€ for 75ml) in addition to a richer and higher percentage in oils, so it's an all-around win for me. In my opinion, it is not a purely masculine scent, more like unisex if you're fine with wearing Diptyque's one. The coconut note uplifts it a little into a slightly warmer, sweeter leaning scent than just purely being green like the former. It's my boyfriend's top favorite smell on me. He not once says nothing when I wear it. I would test a sample on your skin first though before committing. Because it smells completely different on him, very tacky rather than on my skin.

I got a decant of this to try, and to be honest when I first smelled it I felt like it went away too fast and the presence of the fig leaves was obscuring the actual fig and coconut, which made me dislike it. However, I reached out for it again after a week, this time not to test smell it but wore it to work in the morning and took the decant with me to respray. Oh boy, was I wrong. This is gorgeous, a cloud of sweet and green fig which does not go away immediately as one would expect it to. I re-sprayed at work after a while because it made me feel amazing, very unusual but comforting. Like an embrace. I wore it in cold cold weather, and it really fit my mood even if the notes are summery. There is something really sophisticated in this. Definitely try a decant first though, may not be to everyone's taste. 9/10

Simone Andreoli. Fico Nero di Sardegna. I like this a lot. Has the juicy fig I love in DS & Durga Debaser, but performs much better at a better price. Loses some of the juicy fig after a couple hours. Very green and stemmy throughout. A sweetness and creaminess from the coconut milk, less prominent than in Debaser. 12 hours plus for me. The longest lasting fig I’ve found. I’ve read comments complaining that Andreoli is mostly derivative. Could argue perhaps that there are few truly new and unique ideas in the world, that actually work? Is there a place for doing your version of a well known style with high quality ingredients and better performance at a reasonable price point? I think so. That’s well beyond a “dupe.” I love this and when finished with Debaser wouldn’t hesitate to purchase.

This is an excellent unisex to leaning masculine fig. Starts off with a rich, creamy white florals feel. Has a slight soapy quality which feels very clean. Calm vibe. You, and those around you, will definitely pick it up even though it does not project loudly. The creamy fresh closer to skin scent is a great quality for intimate work spaces or clinical settings. No sweetness so it’s easy to wear in the daytime, but I think summer nights will be great for its softness. For some reason, I see whites and baby blues when I smell this. Whenever I put on a light blue shirt or sweater with jeans, it compliments the outfit perfectly. Blind buy approved.

Opening is a smooth fig milk and the greenness of the inside of a stripped tree branch. Very reminiscent of a favorite of mine, Alluring Fig. This one is a little bit more ‘watery’ and a bit less creamy. So kind of like a mix between that one and Philosykos. Very fresh and green, a little tart but also silky. A pleasant mix of sharp and smooth. There’s really no citrus like in Fico di Amalfi, so it’s pretty different from that one. Similar to Philosykos, this one dries down a little soapy/lotiony. The two smells are really quite similar generally. Not full dupe, but I’m not sure someone would need to own both.

On the blotter, this perfume lasted for days -- at least three. I could not stop dreaming about it, so I purchased a sample. On skin, in moderate summer heat, the opening is incredible and develops into the same dreamy green figgy but still ripe fruit scent as on the blotter. However, both on my skin and on my clothes, the scent dissipates quickly. Roughly 3-4h longevity. I would reapply every 4 hours just to retain the amazing initial spritz. Of all my perfumes, this was the one that got my non-fragrance friends really noticing and complimenting. Will try again in cooler days to see if the longevity changes!

Amazing scent, great projection and impressive longevity. The fig and coconut here are much more prominent than in Philosykos. While Philosykos is greener and smoother, with just hints of creamy coconut and fresh fig, this one leans far more coconut-forward and lactonic. I really do love this scent, but I still find myself drifting back to Philosykos, unfortunately. I tried this in hopes of finding a fig fragrance that would last more than two hours on me (yes, I’m looking at you, Philosykos), but in the end, I still prefer the Diptyque version.

Another perfume that fragrantica score doesn't do justice. Very creamy quality with perfect blend of coconut and fig. It has very good longevity and above average sillage for what it is. Much better than philosykos in this department. For a man it gets great reactions and compliments. My score: 8.5/10

I got a sample of this, and its perfect, its amazing, creamy and not too nutty, the perfect freshness and sweetness of fig, yet not too green on the leafy side nor too sweet on the fruity side. Will probably buy it after seeing how long will it last

For me Fico nero is just like the OG ‘Philosykos’ but with better performance, finally! Someone did it, fixed what was wrong with that gem. Fabulous. Green, creamy, beachy, Mediterranean, sap, smooth, natural smelling. Evocative 🌳🫧☁️

This is a fragrance I like to compare to Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma. Fico Nero di Sardegna is a green fig scent blended with creamy coconut milk. Cleaner (with a Dove sope nuance) and calmer, like sitting in the shade of a fig tree near the beach. Fico di Amalfi is a bright fig scent mixed with juicy citruses- like that strong, hot ray of sunshine that hits you the moment you step out of your apartment, heading toward the beach. Both are incredibly realistic and natural. Neither is cloying. Both are of amazing quality, with excellent longevity and projection. My favorite fig summer fragrances so far! As another example, Fico Nero di Sardegna is a bit softer and creamier, a touch more feminine- so I would mostly wear this one, while my partner chooses Fico di Amalfi (fresh, bright, and direct). This is the same review I left on the other fragrance's page. :) I've used this one up and I can't wait to have it back in my collection. Love them both!

It's like eating a ripe fig inside out. Comparing with Philosykos and Premier Figuier, there wasn't the greenness at the opening. Instead, it hits people with the sweet and sourness of the fig fruit. There's slightly a bit of the creamy coconut. And then it dried down to a slice of the leafy freshness.

This is a nice, straightforward fig. Not too sweet nor too green, not overwhelmed by coconut, and most importantly, long lasting. I really can't say any more– if you like fig, here it is without any additional trappings! It does sometimes lean a bit soapy, though.

Agree with most of the reviews below. Comparing with Figuier Extreme, Fico Nero is heavier, more leaves-and-tree than fruity, and overall more masculine. Still very wearable for all.

The smoothest fig scent I have tried so far, probably due to how well coconut is blended together with the fig note.

Beautiful green fragrance with a fruity and creamy nuance. Fig leaf is the star of the show, and does it's job well. Fresh and green and has the slightly sharp tone to it. Fig gives the fragrance a sour fruit note that is refreshing and energizing. It's also slightly creamy in texture. I can't smell any coconut, but I'd wager it's the accord that brings the slight creamy feel. And that's really all I get from it. All in all, it's a great scent, and a discreet scent to wear for everyday activities or even for formal occasions. Nothing says classy or casual. It's just subtlety pleasant. I'd say it's probably best used for layering to add a green fig leaf and fig fruit to other scents. On it's own, it comes across as a bit basic. Personal score: 6/10. I expected and wanted something more. I don't know what I wanted. But something more. Citruses, fruit, florals, sea notes, anything to give it more then just the impression of "just a fig tree".

Fico Nero has surprisingly impressive longevity and sillage for a fragrance that doesn’t have any classic heavy-hitting notes. It’s very green with a thick swirl of creaminess. I struggle to detect the fig fruit itself, which is a shame, but the bright green fig leaves and smooth coconut milk both come across loud and clear. Fico Nero successfully paints a picture of a fig tree in my mind complete with robust leaves and milky white sap. If you’re looking for a straight-forward fig tree fragrance without any additional frills, give this one a try. Worth noting: my partner developed a migraine after smelling this on me! Be wary.

Deeper and slightly sweeter than Diptyque Philosykos, but overall not very juicy on my skin. It's mostly fresh fig leaf, green and pleasantly bitter, with some creamy coconut and just a hint of ripe fig pulp. Very unisex, chill, outdoorsy and wearable, but not a perfume to specifically channel your feminity. I'd picture working very well for a picnic, a hike, a barbecue, or a boat trip. Subtle and suitable for office and work, may be too chill for a job interview or for asking a raise. Most appropriate for Spring and Summer.

I’m in the minority here but sadly it pulls chemical-y and plastic-y on my skin. I have 8 fig fragrances in my collection including Premier Figuier and Philosykos and this is the first one that I experience the chemical smell with.. On to other Simone Andreoli scents!

Interesting... this fig translates as dill potatoes with cucumber... Would be fitting at swedish midsummer celebrations outdoors. After a while the dill note calms down, and gives off more of a creamy unripe fig fruit smell. All in all, quite nice.

Somehow, it makes me think of truffles. I imagine a house near a forest and it has a garden with figs surrounded by vegetable beds. The owner of the house is throwing a family party in the middle of summer, on a hot day after a stormy night. The humidity is still in the air, entrapping the aromas of the garden. A lazy Sunday perfume, for family gatherings, perhaps. I can also see it also in more elegant settings, because the scent is rather unusual and fine smelling.

First minutes after the spray - the smell of the freshly crushed leaf, then this greenness is present, but it's not that bright. I can definitely feel creaminess to it, it could be coconut milk, but it's definitely is not very prominent, and it's a water inside the coconut, not the coconut flesh. It's nice, it's cozy, not screechy.

I get the woody part but barely anything interesting overall. It's sharp and screechy. Not worth the price point the brand is charging for this boring basic dry stemone bomb. Also sourness of the fig? What kind of figs have you all been eating?

Some of these reviews are confusing and misleading because people misread the notes and assume it's fig leaf, fig and coconut. There's no coconut in it, it's coconut MILK!!! Big difference.
