Sunplosion

I don’t have much experience with mango fragrances because they are not often available in my country to check out easily! I have heard great things about Xerjoff Cruz del Sur 2 and SHL God of Fire and Mango Kiss and I can’t wait to check them at some point. So my review is not going to be a comparative analysis with Stephen Humbert Lucas creations or Xerjoff, but a standalone one! Testing Sunplosion by Simone Andreoli was love at first sniff. It’s one of the most beautiful and delicious tropical gourmand I had the pleasure to experience to this day. As a side note, I have ordered a few decants of Simone Andreoli’s scents and already tried Leisure in Paradise, Malibu Party in the Bay and Vicebomb. These 3 mentioned above are just ok, but this one is the one for me!! Opens with the sweetest, creamiest and juiciest mango and guava mix, another gourmand note I adore, then a slightly tart hibiscuses flower joins in. I can also smell a freshly squeezed lemon and a creamy coconut.. The overall smell is absolutely divine and mouthwatering and makes me think of being on a beach in Bali or Hawaii with a sweet, fruity cocktail in my hand around sunset hour... If you look for a delectable and natural smelling mango scent, look no further! Moderate to long lasting performance. Leaning towards feminine side because of the intense sweetness. Classic packaging, white cardboard with gold writing, sturdy though, see through bottle with black plastic cap, nothing outstanding here. Very fairly priced for such a fabulous smelling scent!

Sunplosion has a high quality body spray or shampoo vibe, When I first purchased this scent, I had high hopes, was disappointed with the performance. Day #1, I easily sprayed 30 sprays. Today, I revisited it again, it's linear, juicy ripe fruits, I get every note except for hibiscus, this could be because I'm not sure what hibiscus smells like on it's own. I truly adore the use of sandalwood's earthy, woody aroma paired with the fruits. I love the way the tart lime balances out of the sweetness from the fruits. I sprayed the back of my neck and legs so when I heat up, the scent radiates since the weather is record breaking temps. Sunplosion delivers with it's ripe fruity goodness. To my nose it leans feminine. It sort of reminds me of Island Margarita from BBW, but this is no way shape or form a dupe. I'm basking in a fruity scent bubble. Projection is intimate, I find it's weak, that's a good thing because it leaves me wanting more. I find it inoffensive. 0 allergy triggers. It lasts longer on clothing than on skin. On my skin it lasted 4 hours. It's a personal scent. I could see Sunplosion in a candle. 🤔. Heavy like. I'm happy I purchased a large bottle to try Simone Andreoli's creation, this is a great scent for Florida's heat, at $180 a bottle, I'm not sure I would repurchase but can't rule out I wouldn't. Heavy like.

It’s a burst of sweet, dazzling fruits and citrus. Very youthful and energizing. Smooth and a little creamy, but still bright and lively. The mango and guava are the stars of the show at the top. The coconut and lime help give it a tropical backbone. It’s incredibly lovely. I’m a huge fan of Kenneth Cole Reaction (M) and I’ve been constantly on the hunt for a fragrance that gives me a similar vibe and this is it. It’s a little less woodsy and leans a little more feminine. It also reminds me a little bit of Davidoff Cool Water Cool Summer (W) in its airy, watery fruit nature. I guess if you combined those two mentioned fragrances, this would be the result. And those are two of my favorite fragrances, so you can see why I’m so blown away by this. If you’re looking for a sweet, but not cloying, fruity scent that is a little tropical and a lot of fun, this is one of the best I’ve ever smelled.

Finally it's added here. Gorgeous mango pulp fragrance that lasts extremely well for something this fruity. Chilling in the summer with this one. Got my bottle as soon as it got released here and couldn't be happier about it. Guava is noticeable and gives that extra fruity punch to the composition. I sprayed it on my pillow once and the scent stayed there till my bed stuff got washed. If you like la capitale and mango skin, definitely give this one a shot, it's more simple and more mango than both just mentioned.

Love this! The best way for me to describe it is sitting at a terrace in italy, 30 degrees celsius with a cup of sweet fruit juice. It smells drinkable. Great for summer evenings and hot summer days, its not too sweet for me in the hot days because it does not have that heavy sickenly sweet vanilla that some other fruit perfumes have like Erba Pura etc. 9/10 for me

Received a sample after someone suggested this smelled like Narcotica Lemonata. It doesn’t. It’s far more fruity as someone else said ‘Monster Rio Punch energy drink’. I really really enjoy this! It’s such a fun fruity sunny summer warm day fragrance. A niche house for 100ml at $185 is absolutely worth this! 10/10 will be buying full bottle.

Mouthwatering is right! Maybe the guava is making me drool? Right as it’s teetering on the faintest border of overdone fruity, something catches it and it just stays truly delicious, mouthwatering and fresh enough for the heat. I don’t tend to like coconut, but I love coconut water. Beautifully done fruity

Sunsplosion is beautiful! It is a creamy and sweet mango, though it isnt as sweet as people are making it out to be in other reviews imo. It isn't a cloyingly sweet scent whatsoever. It is light & fresh. I much prefer this to Mango Skin by Vilhelm because the Patchouli in that one really throws me off.

Great spring summer scent this one is a skeeper I’m glad no one is talking about this, tropical fruity yet that coconut water gives it an aquatic vibe the hibiscus is perfect and the sandalwood is light and dusty 8/10 I wish it lasted a full 8 hours but 6-7 will do

update, getting bloodorange vanilla bubble gum, tangy but something softening it up, this ones good. --- initial blast i get fruit roll ups lol in a good way, basically i lke all the fruity ones from this house i guess lol which one will i end up with hmm

Absolutely gorgeous,yummy,juicy .Once you spray it you can't get enough .What a hidden gem this is. Mango and guava are very prominent with some creaminess from sandal wood .

The best mango perfume out there! Beautifully realistic, like a beautiful natural ripe mango, you can feel the flesh of a real mango fruit! It is not very sweet, more like a real fruit sweet and not like some syrup :) TO me Montale - Mano Manga smells like varnish/chemicals and any trace of mango disappears within minutes. On other hand Vilhelm Parfumerie - Mango Skin is not nice fruity gourmandy scent, but simply off putting... At this point I was ready to give up, as either there are no good mango fragrances out there or problem is with my nose/expectations... But Sunplosion changed everything. She is the one - beautiful, amazing, gourmand, pretty much straight up mango but not in a cheap and weak body mist way. There are other notes supporting the mango, but I could hardly name them. There is no musk, etc ruining it throughout the wear. Only if you spray a looooot, at the very beginning there can be a bit of bitter aftertaste/like perfume gets overwhelming for a few minutes, but after that it is just great. It is not the strongest scent out there, i.e. Leisure In Paradise has much stronger performance. But it is still decent in performance, even perfect given the pure fruity scent profile 💕

Very sweet and fruity. Performs, and is of quality, like a proper edp, but has a scent profile most would associate with a fruity youthful body spray minus the cheap syntheticness of most body sprays. I can see a lot of younger girls and tropical fruity frag lovers liking this a lot. I must be getting a bit old now that I'm a 30something, because I feel like I've outgrown fruity frags. I got this sample with my 2nd bottle of Malibu Party in the Bay, which is an excellent Virgin Island Water dupe. That frag is also very fruity, but it's primarily lime, it smells like a margarita, so it has a maturity and playfulness to it. Sunplosion is youthful and playful. Makes me think about being a teenager in the summer. Has a touch of sandalwood to keep it grounded. Performs pretty decent. Seems to form a close scent bubble that lingers for 4hrs, probably longer on most people. I have scent-eating skin and live in a very dry, hot desert climate with a ton of wind, so fragrances tend to disappear pretty fast. I'd double the strength and longevity estimates if you live somewhere humid.

Sunsplosion is a very sweet, tropical fragrance with strong performance. Linear and fruity, it is like an elevated version of a fruity body spray aimed at teenage girls. Instead of being synthetic and hairspray-like, the fruitiness here smells realistic - juicy and pulpy, reminiscent of fruit stalls in sunny climes. Sunsplosion opens with a squeeze of lime that gives way to the mango pulp note - as close to the real thing as I've encountered in perfumery. I'm less familiar with guava fruit, but there is a heady, sweet fruity note in there alongside the mango. Softly sweet florals emerge as it develops, bolstered by coconut which enhances the tropical theme of this scent. It becomes musky and slightly woody as it dries down, sweetly tropical until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate (my sample is the intense version). Feminine-leaning in my opinion due to its sweetness, Sunsplosion is a nice, extroverted summer scent for lovers of fruity, tropical perfumes. Surprisingly good quality for such a youthful, lighthearted scent. 3/5.

A pleasant-smelling tropical fruit fragrance. On my skin, at the very opening, it smells like those tart jelly peach slices before becoming more like a bubbly mixed-fruit drink. The first instinct is to consider this a feminine fragrance, but I can actually envision myself, a guy, wearing this one. Maybe I've just become daring, who knows. The smooth, secondary sandalwood note grounds it and gives it a masculine bent that makes it much more unisex and takes off that feminine edge. Very clean smelling. I'm classifying Sunplosion is a "like" instead of a "love" for now because I'm so not used to smelling fruity fragrances on me, but to be perfectly honest, ever since I sprayed it on the back of my hand, I haven't been able to stop sniffing myself. Good stuff.

A summer easy reach if you're into sweet, fruity fragrances. It does smell like an elevated body spray or a nice quality body wash. Like drinking a tropical cocktail or a mango flavoured coconut water. I wouldn't say the mango and guava are entirely realistic, but neither are they harshly fake. It's very sweet but it feels appropriate for what it is and it's quite smooth. It turns into a skin scent on me very quickly and then lasts a few hours. Burying my nose in my wrist, I can still smell a little bit of mango and the hibiscus and sandalwood. Definitely fun and I reach for my sample a lot but it's a lot of money for fun and fruity. I'm a bit torn on whether it's worth it but I do like it.

I expected to be a bit more coconut heavy than it is but the fruity notes are actually much more prominent in this and it’s a lovely summer scent. I’d class this as unisex but probably leans more feminine to my nose. I can sometimes find fruity scents a bit to cloying especially on warm days but this one is done well and it holds up well. If you can get your nose in this I highly recommend it as it’s a more affordable alternative to others that have similar notes.

If you're looking for a tropical fruity summer stunner that's easy to wear and has reasonable performance, then look no further. My wife demanded we share a bottle after draining my sample! Nothing challenging here, although it veers towards shower gel vibes, as opposed to a fine fragrance. Still very enjoyable and smells fairly natural. I wouldn't class this as a synthetic mess. I get mainly Mango and Guava atop a nice soft white musk.

I usually shy away from fruity perfumes, but this is a photorealistic juicy guava and mango perfume. The sandalwood is coming across like a graham cracker or cookie. In any case, I detest synthetic fruit notes, but I’m liking this perfume. It smells like I dove into a fruit punch bowl. Under the right circumstances— warm weather lounging, outdoor party, beach picnic— I can imagine this working. It’s a fun scent that stays close.

Completely agree with Infinitestarla's mango and guava orange juice comparison. This smells exactly how I would imagine a mixture like that would taste. This fragrance is one dimensional. There are no transitions or surprises... very linear. But I like that! Too many tropical scents try to do too much these days. Although, I do understand the disappointment in the scent vs the price point, it's a fun vacation scent.

super juicy realistic fruity mango lime! gets creamier and luxurious in dry down. sometimes I get a whiff and it smells exactly like an afro hair product I used as a kid that I can't remember the name of I don't think this smells like any cheap tropical body spray - this is elegant and has depth. I unfortunately wasn't a fan of leisure in paradise but this more than makes up for it - can't wait to wear this summer

This fragrance grew on me and now it's my go-to tropical fruity option. The opening is mouthwatering, fresh, juicy, sweet, realistic. It stays fruity for a while and then dries down into a harsh sandalwood. This is the part that isn't my favorite, as I wished the sandalwood was more creamy - instead it's a little masculine for my taste. Overall a great option for those warm spring / summer days.

Appena spruzzato è meraviglioso. Si percepisce una nota maschile, miscelata perfettamente alla frutta esotica. Poi ci sento anche una nota tipo albicocca, anche se non è dichiarata negli ingredienti. Peccato che il sillage e la persistenza siano quasi inesistenti... Diciamo che il prezzo è troppo alto, considerando che in mezz'ora svanisce.

my favorite Simone Andreoli so far (only others I've tried are Malibu Party in the Bay and Leisure in Paradise). It does smell kind of "juvenile" (I guess?), but it doesn't smell cheap imo. fruity/gourmand scents can inherently come off "juvenile" but here it reads more "youthful" and "fun" to me, but sophisticated at the same time

To me this smells like A sweet Mango/tropical fruits bubblegum. I love it but im not sure if I should buy it because of comments I read about longevity and projection not being very good but for this price i would just overspray. One of the more affordable brands imo, comparable to Emil Elise.

The opening of this perfume was gorgeous and initially I thought I’d made the wrong decision buying Leisure In Paradise, but the dry down of this turns into those candied Mentos fruity sweets that are hard on the outside and soft in the middle. I like it but it’s not a FB buy for me

This is very tropical fruity. The opening kind of smells like what Hollister used to smell like during the early 2010’s while the dry-down is a bit more fruity and starts smelling like mango temptation from VS. Very cute but not worth the price point.

I really like this one. Yea, it smells a little body spray-ish. But it lasts longer than the typical body spray. It's very bright, refreshing, zingy and happy. Perfect for those hot summer days. Do I think it's worth the price tag? Absolutely not.

I was super convinced I'd love this as fruity scents are my favourite and the notes looked fantastic. Bought a sample expecting to fall in love and I must say I'm quite underwhelmed. It smells pleasant enough, like a sweet orange juice with a hint of mango and guava, but for me feels kind of "thin" as there are minimal basenotes backing this up which gives it a kind of light feel that means it doesn't have the oomph and impact I was hoping for. For reference, I wore TT Kirke last night and can still smell that more strongly on my hoodie than Sunplosion, now that's massive fruit up front with a mega musk base which means you get the really tropical impact with the deepness I like. Perhaps I expected too much from this one, but it won't be a purchase for me.

My favourite of the 5 Simone Andreoli fragrances I tested. It's very similar to Summer Hammer but not as strong. Had I not also had a sample of summer hammer I would have purchased a bottle of this, it's great quality. I also tested God's of Fire and Cruz del Sur II. Sunplosion is way nicer than God's of fire, which I also liked but GOF is sparkling bright mango in the opening and then quickly turns to light oud. Cruz Del Sur II is gourmand and better in cool weather in my opinion. Sunplosion really is gorgeous, and it's the sweetest of all these that I tried. It's strong and long lasting too.

I'm stuck between like and ok. It's pretty synthetic for my taste and the guava/mango does lean screechy. I'm still on the hunt for that perfect juicy tropical scent. Mango Skin was also too heavy for me. The type that feels like it may singe your nosehairs lowkey. However I feel like the right setting may be necessary for this. A light spray on a beach day could go a long way to making this scent a little bit more tolerable. It lasts a decent while and the projection is okay. I'm curious to see what leisure in paradise has in store!

Tooth achingly sweet. Although I can appreciate the deliciousness of the notes, this is completely unwearable for my tastes. And strong! Smells like a better quality and niche version of fragrances I see typically loved by teens. If you’re looking for a mango fragrance as others have mentioned below, this ain’t it. I own God of Fire and Mango Kiss from Stephane Humbert Lucas and they delicious delicious cheese if Sunplosion is the chalk in the equation.

This is a lovely albeit very basic tropical scent. It smells exactly like Extra Refreshers gum tropical flavor. Sweet mango and guava. Honestly not very worth the price, you can get the same effect from any tropical body spray or shower gel. I much prefer Bal d'Afrique from Byredo for the same tropical feel but in a much more sophisticated way.

Directly upon smelling this it reminded me of those generic body splashes you can get at Victoria's Secret, minus the alcohol overload. Smells like a simple sweet scent, on the thicker side and more longevity than body splashes, yet not more sophicticated. This would be a nice scent to take with you on vacation to have as a 'memory scent'.

This is a meh for me. Reminds me of the watermelon extra gum. It's super sweet and fruity to the point that it's very cloying. It's very one dimension to me. It smells nice, but it's not worth it in my opinion.

Really sweet and fruity but if I'm being honest, it smells exactly like the "Juicy Mango" candles they sell at TJ Maxx. I think this could be really lovely on the right person, just not my cup of tea!
