The name is very accurate. It's a simplistic, sweet fragrance, with little uniqueness but at the end of the day very pleasant and quite addictive. It's warm, cozy and surprisingly seductive for a sugary scent. I wouldn't agree it's By The Fireplace DNA, at least not on my skin. More of Black Sugar by Korres type of experience; however Berry Me by the same designer is far more similar to Korres. All in all, an alluring easy-reach fragrance for colder seasons and amazing for layering with something darker like Patchouli, Oud or incense. After a few months it really grew on me. Even if simple, I can’t truly pinpoint anything on the market that would be exactly the same. Keeps the perfect balance between mainstream/wearable and niche/unique. Still very alluring, sweet but not at all too girlish or pretentious. EDIT: After a year it totally maturated into By The Fireplace inspiration.

This scent really grew on me. I first tried it in a hand cream form and immediately thought: this is not going to be for me. I’m usually not drawn to sweet, gourmand scents, so I wrote it off pretty quickly. Then, after placing an order from Sisters Aroma, I received a sample of the perfume, and somehow, it completely snuck up on me. I found myself reaching for it more and more, realising that there’s something surprisingly addictive and comforting about it. The warm, spicy sweetness feels like curling up under a thick wool blanket by a fireplace, with a cup of hot chai in your hands. Now I am considering ordering it as an oil roller to create that cosy, intimate base for fall fragrance layering.

I blind bought and expected something sweeter but this is exactly Vanilla Smoke by Phlur both of those being smoke and spice forward on my skin. I have a lot of this scent profile already (Vanilla Smoke, By the Fireplace, Ecrin de Fumee) but I am happy overall - can't have too much of a good thing. As for performance it is pretty linear (not a bad thing), stays the same through the 3-4 hours I get from it and has a very intimate sillage, more so on skin than hair and clothes.

I don't think that I can add anything new in a review compared to what's already been written. It's a very cozy and warm scent that somehow manages to be both simple (it's caramel with a dash of pink pepper on a smooth base, that's it) yet at the same time there's just something in it, especially the dry down. It's pleasant and comforting. I can imagine it layered in all seasons but it also stands on its own, to be honest. A pleasant surprise!
