Rainforest Mist

I’m a fig fanatic, and with Rainforest Mist being my 8th fig fragrance in 8 weeks, I wasn’t sure if Skylar could really introduce anything new. Boy was I wrong. The opening to this is gorgeous. It starts off with a very fresh, green fig with just a hint of floral. Within about 5 minutes, the fig starts to fade and the jasmine and lotus really start to come through. There’s a period where the fig and florals are really balanced and it’s just beautiful. Sadly, the fig quickly wears off and the dry down is far less impressive. I get creamy jasmine, lotus, and cedar, which is lovely, but nowhere near as interesting as the opening. I wish the fig note lasted much longer; once it wears off, the florals and cedar smell more like a nice candle than a perfume.

This is something rare: a tropical fig without even the slightest hint of coconut. Fresh, in a green way, with only a hint of sweetness. I’d expect something called “Rainforest Mist” to impart some kind of soft humidity or rain, but the only mildly watery notes are the lotus and water lily - both of which I consider more floral than aquatic. You’d also expect something with “mist” in its name to be available in a spray format, but apparently it’s only ever been released as a rollerball. Too bad, it would be lovely and refreshing to spray.

from the minute i smelled this i knew it would be one of my favorites, it’s green and juicy, a tiny bit floral but more just sweet and green. i’ve never smelled anything quite like it. i wish it lasted longer, but i’m willing to reapply all day because it’s just that good. BEGGING skylar to give it a full size bottle!!

I bought this a few months ago, tried it on, went- eh it’s ok and forgot I had it. Today is hot out and I wanted something fresh. Wow it’s such much prettier than I thought. Clean and floral but with a creaminess. Gris Charnel is a good comparison! Also if this smells like Parisian Musc, I have been eyeing that too!

I'm so glad I bought this from their sale! This is fruity, woody, fresh, and slightly sweet goodness. I can smell the fig and florals and the woods. This is the perfect summer scent! Love love love!! <3

This is a very fresh and summery fragrance that has a wetness to it. I get the mist but maybe not rainforest. Rainforest, to me, has earthiness. This is more tropical, but without the stereotypical coconut and pineapple. On me there is significant fig with soft florals. Then comes a wet, aquatic element with a slight coolness. The cedar is there, but nothing special. I can see how this would be refreshing on a hot day. Sadly, Rainforest Mist is not my thing. It's a little too sweet for me and lacks depth.

it might just be me, but i hate this. to me, there is no hint of sweetness at all, and it smells like a gross, overly strong green note. it faded literally within minutes and just smells so odd. i can only smell weird woody and green notes, nothing else listed. even in the bottle it smells gross. SUPER disappointed
