Mandarin Pepper

To me, on the dry down, this is along the profile of D&G The One EDT without the the punch and leans citrusy. It's a light fragrance and, at best, projects within a 3ft bubble. If Snack House could give this one a bit more fuel, it would be a definite winner. The opening is a musky orange with a light peppery bent. But as it dries down, the patchouli, amber and ceder creates a mildly more masculine and shy musky ambience. While the orange is still present, it begins to share more air with the aforementioned scents. It is also one of those fragrances that annoys me. Why? Because it's a great scent that displays some potential to be something even better. As for longevity, I gave it the sleep test and when I got up 7 hours later, I could still smell it on my arms from about six inches away as I just zoned out in bed while reading. I have a feeling, for some reason, I go slightly nose blind to this. When I only can pick up faint whiffs of it, shoulder to shoulder, others pick up on it. They think it's very nice and pleasant. I really do like this one and for $10-13, it's a good pickup to use for getting out of the shower, just lounging or as a going to bed scent. It's also nice to use if you're just going out to eat or to hang out at a coffee house and don't want a scent that shouts across the table. If someone leans in to speak to you, they are bound to find the fragrance pleasant but not obnoxious. It would be also perfect for a casual group conversation scent where your only intent is to be more socially hygienic than to attract attention.

I mean it's okay, it pretty much just smells like citrus and pepper and stays that way until it's gone. Not bad just there.
