I'm in love with this fragrance. When I first got it, it came off a lot more herbal with the sage and lavender being more prominent and the chocolate not lasting too long however, this is one of those fragrances that benefits from a good maceration, though I loved it even before. A few months later, it has transformed into the best chocolate fragrance I have ever smelled. It's dark and powdery, but not in the hot chocolate sense. The herbal elements are still there and provide the fragrance with depth and a richness that is delicious. The lasting power is great, solid 10 hours, you'll definitely smell it on yourself all day. Definitely slightly overpriced, not because of the scent profile but because of the size, given that Snif only sells 30ml bottles, but I think this particular scent is worth it. You can get 10% off from certain perfume reviewers like @Oliviaolfactory, who is great in my opinion, so you don't necessarily have to pay the full 65 dollars. I found this to also be a great fragrance for layering, goes great with Bath and Bodyworks Into the Night, and its amazing with Lattafa's Khamrah Qahwa. Upon initial application, this is a chocolate-forward frag with a base of vanilla, layered with aromatic sage and lavender. Already five minutes in and the chocolate dissipates to the point of barely being there, but it still lingers. The purple florals add a sweet powdery note and the sandalwood is almost creamy. It leaves you with a masculine-leaning, spicy yet powdery sweet scent, which I think would be perfect for a cool fall evening. The subtle chocolate note adds complexity while pairing beautifully with the vanilla and aromatics. I will be buying a full bottle of this, I can't stop sniffing my wrist!

As someone who prefers gourmands and feminine fragrances and often finds unisex fragrances too dry... this is heavenly to me. I purchased House of 8 as part of a travel size bundle to try it out; safe to say I'll be purchasing a full bottle. I don't get a lot of the chocolate notes, for me the stand outs are the Sage and Sandalwood softened by the Vanilla and Iris. On me House of 8 reads as a little smokey, a little woody, a little powdery, and very sexy. I can't stop smelling my wrists a solid 6 hours after putting it on. Definitely a win for me!

I’m surprised by how much I like this. I’m not sure I would have noticed the chocolate if I hadn’t known it was in there but it is a very sexy masculine-leaning fragrance. It makes me feel fancy and expensive without having to pay the high price tag. I’m not sure why, they have almost nothing in common including fragrance notes, but it reminds me of Halfeti by Panhaligons in the sense that it feels like an old vintage perfume that’s been modernized. It’s very very nice.

A delicious, provocative scent that is beautifully unisex to me. The iris and chocolate notes here coexist in a way that makes it difficult to determine if this is a gourmand or not. My verdict: it’s not. The aromatic feel to this makes it very masculine, but the powdery finish makes it perfect for a woman. Sexy, sensual frags are my favorite, so this will stay in the rotation all year long, I think, though I do believe it’s best for the fall and winter months (duh).

I kinda love this scent a lot. Would not pin it as a gourmand. There are lots of chocolate notes in the beginning that carries through the scent but the most prominent part is this chemical powdery scent of retro hair mouse. I love it because of the nostalgia, but I see where the "men's cologne" plays in there too. With the cacao scent + creamy hair mouse scent, it definitely is something unique and fun.

It does kind of smell like a men’s cologne but I ALWAYS get compliments on this scent!! (from other women), I really do like the chocolatey-powdery-iris thing going on here.

I love this perfume, it just smells delightful and makes me happy. Like a chocolate hug. I have a lot of Snifs fragrances and I love them all. Great price, I believe

This smells like a generic men's cologne. My mom said this one smells like something one of her managers wears. It's strong and long-lasting, and there is certainly a chocolate note, but less like milk chocolate and more like powdered hot chocolate mix. Someone said tootsie rolls and now I can't unsmell that. That being said, it's a delicious and intoxicating scent, both light and dark.

i dont agree with all the reviews I have seen so far. found this perfume through the tiktok account @perfumesandprompts , she described it as a mexican hot chocolate + mens cologne and I think this is really accurate. i dont smell the floral notes that these people are smelling. to me, it smells like dark cocoa with cinnamon and a bit of typical mens cologne DNA.

Really enjoying these scent. It’s like the lighter, younger brother of Commodity Milk, sweet but not as sweet. Projection and longevity are pretty good, so no need to overspray.

Honestly at first spray I thought this was a generic masculine leaning axe reminiscent type of scent with chocolate mixed in. However as it dries down I do smell more of the depth of the powerful purple florals and it becomes more sweet. It does dry down in a beautiful way but still the masculine typical “men’s” cologne scent is prominent and this is not for me. If you want to try about a scent like this with a twist at the end though try this out.

straight Axe dark temptation but I loved that in high school so its not a bad thing really! Just was expecting more nuance.

Herbal, lavender and sage chocolate opening. Then, fresh florals including heliotrope. It's not a great mix so far. Nothing really stands out in a good way. Then, a touch of powder from the iris. It does get better as time goes on, but it's still not great. The chocolate is really not the star within a few minutes, so don't get this if you're looking for a chocolate scent. The chocolate is underneath all the herbs and flowers and doesn't give off chocolate vibes. Herbal flowers dominate, then a light sandalwood drydown with a pinch of vanilla. Not a winner.

just straight up gross. smells metallic and almost hospital-like. leaves much to be desired

What. The. Hell. This is awful. Chocolate where? Powdery? Where. This is a strong. Aromatic. Woody. Metallic. Disaster. This smells like those cheap colognes at Marshall’s. Absolutely not! Someone this may work for. My flowery loving ass. NO! Haha I do try to branch out but ghattt damn. This is awful. 😞

Personally I think this is gross. If this is masculine, and men smell like this... yuck. Update: not as horrible as my first impression. Getting better. But there’s a gasoline note in there that isn’t working for me. Further update: This seems to have the same DNA as Strawberry Moon from Snif.

An embarrassing, flat out shame of an eau de parfum, if you can call it that. the call to the alleged chocolate, vanilla and musky notes go unanswered due to the synthetic floral notes that linger. Very much Urban Outfitters vibes.

Sorry gourmand guys and girlies, this is not for us. The smell is more reminiscent to a un-treated cacao bean mixed with cheap gas station cologne from the 70's with a hint of urinal cake.

I’ll admit, I was motivated to purchase this by the beautiful burgundy bottle pictured, and I blind bought this fragrance. In real life, for what it’s worth, it’s a little more brown and a little less red. I like it, but don’t love it as much as the color pictured online. On to the fragrance itself—when I initially sprayed this, I got a rich, bitter chocolatey fragrance with a lot of depth—now that I’m trying at a few weeks later, I unfortunately absolutely get that “generic men’s cologne scent”, plus a note of chocolate. It’s giving me “Bath and Bodyworks tries a chocolate cologne”. It’s not exactly bad—but it’s not great, either. Moderate projection and wear time. I’m giving this a 4/10 overall and will be destashing this.

Opens as a clary sage bomb slightly sweetened by a hint of chocolate. Clary sage has a natural herbal powderyness to it. Lavender brightens the scent with its typical astringent quality. Wood note serves to ground without taking attention away from the sage. Becomes more masculine & lavender forward as it dried. Chocolate & vanilla barely noticeable. Overall vibe is earthy grounded & kinda "leathery". Does not smell like men's deodorant/body wash vibes. Think more aromatics 1800's mens Cologne vibe in opening then aromatic, light, bright leathery scent.

The most intense SNIF perfume I own (it was a gift) for power and longevity. Very disjointed blend where its like you are eating chocolate with entire buds of lavender inside. Some of the base notes also come off as sharp because of the way the herbal-florals are seperate from the sweet smells in this. I would say this is definitely unisex for me I cant imagine it being a men's body spray at all like some people are saying but regardless overall this is a huge miss to me.

It's strange because this reminds me of a less sweet version of Britney Spears's "Fantasy". Dried, powdered florals sprinkled with a few chocolate shavings. It's interesting, but I definitely won't buy the full bottle. I plan on layering this with sweeter fragrances.

I actually like this. It smells like a generic men’s cologne, yes. However, there is a hint of chocolate that makes this unique. I smell the chocolate throughout. I wish it lasted longer, but it is a nice scent. This is unisex that leans more masculine in my opinion.

I think this is super interesting - it's definitely got the chocolate and iris down but theres an element of freshness to this - versatile chocolate frag. Absolutely worth a try :)
