Blood Cedar

ohhh so comforting, This is warm cedar and Tonka witha touch of Citrus , The citrus is hardly notisable , but if i realy look for it is there like a slight similarity to Shaliar edp . But this perfumes are not he same at all just some of the feal with the citrus This is a real snuggle up perfume for fall. I see this in a Cabin on a handsom man warm good hearted and trustworthy, Infront of the fire with peace writhen all ower him. Finaly back in harmony with natur The Labdanum is also present but not so much the floral part. This to me has a slight Incence spark but not to much A treat for Autumn , a safe scent , not to bold or crazy. just cosy and down to earth . lovely even for me who is a women I would say this is more of a masculin scent . (but then again i dont like my scents to be very masculin:)..)

A very nice warm cedar scent with a backing of tonka bean, and a sandlewood dry down with noticable powdery vanilla (more vanilla than other soivohle fragrances I've tried). The floral notes are there, but I have to struggle to find them. Any citrus notes in the opening were gone within a minute or two. I love the cedar and the powdery vanilla, but projection on this was average at best, and longevity was average as well, giving me no more than 6 hours. This is a very nice fragrance, but the lack of projection and longevity will probably keep me from buying it again.

nothing particularly outstanding here...its your basic pleasant cedar and something faint like the steam of a hot tea with cinnamon...drys down to cedar and faint incense.... If you go to the Soivohl site to buy samples there are a couple more items not on Fragrantica that I'll describe. SINTI - starts and stays with a brutal snapped green twig scent CHRYLSALIS - starts with something akin to vinegar and stays with a varient of honeysuckle not quite on the mark. AMBERENE - starts something like MPG Bois du Turquie...or Bazooka Joe bubble gum, really... and finishes like a faint version of Amouage Opus IV. The only one wearable of the 4 samples.
