An alarmingly precise and slightly off-putting tea scent that privileges verisimilitude over wearability. Although I’m not up to speed on the specific tea that it’s citing, this smells very much like a strong, black tea with a notably bitter emphasis to represent the tealeaves themselves. The result is somewhat biting and harsh, and if I spent too long with it, I think it’d give me a headache, but it’s a fascinating smell all the same. It seems to be accomplishing much of this effect through the use of berry leaves of some kind with spices and sharp citric notes. But it’s so bracing that it smells just a couple of notches removed from a freshly scrubbed sink—it’s almost metallic in its sharpness. From a technical perspective, it’s fascinating, but I couldn’t be around it for too long. It might sound like a bit of a copout as it's doing something different altogether, but Un Crime Exotique by Parfumerie Generale is a far more palatable tea scent that's a bit more subtle.

This is Southern Sweet Tea in a perfume! It has that smell of lounging on grandma's swing, the scent of daisy's heated by the sun - the chamomile smells like bottled sunshine. Bees goin' about their business, and there you are with an iced glass of freshly brewed tea flavored with a huge dollop of honey! I even smell mint, the perfect garnish for your glass beaded with condensation. It's a slow Sunday afternoon on the front porch, and I'm loving every minute of it! Wonderful!
