Água Mística

Initial smell brings you a pineapple-tangerine smell that seems nice and inoffensive. Sweetness is medium, but the combination of pineapple and tangerine gives you a mild candy vibe. I agree that this smells quite like Atelier's Orange Sanguine or Clementine California, but not fully. As it settles down a bit, you will smell a hint of Victoria Secret Bombshell/Zara Orchid kinda smell (which was first done by Ferragamo's Incanto Shine, which still is, the best). The later stage of this scent will somehow remind you of Baccarat Rogue 540, which is probably due to the cedar note, or maybe because of its reaction to my skin. I am a male, btw, and I bought this for my wife. Did I enjoy it? Yes, it smells fresh enough in the opening (pineapple-orange with some sweetness), then transforms into an Incanto Shine kinda scent, with a few hints of Baccarat Rogue 540. For me, it is a 4.0/5.0 since I live in a tropical country.

I'll admit I wasn't sure about this one at first. I first smelled this last summer from the cap alone, and it's honestly a miracle that I wrote it down on my "need to buy list". The cap seriously smells like celery which is questionable and then you try it on and BOOM, you get hit by such a strong, sweet tangerine opening. It instantly takes me back to something I've never experienced. It starts like orange candy, but then kinda gives cleaning spray and then again, BOOM, the salty skin accord gives it the perfect personal mystique and sensuality while still smelling like the best summer day of your life. I had to buy two bottles and I CAN’T stop smelling my wrist, even after many hours it's still present which is very surprising for a SDJ mist. I’m predicting that this might become a Cheirosa spray eventually (please)

I don't love fresh scents, but I do love fruity ones. This one is super citrusy and juicy, and I don't get any hint of salt at all. I love it so much, and out of all 3 of the new SDJ scents it was the one I least expected to like. So perfect for summer, genuinely such a light and fresh scent without giving me a headache/making me nauseous (which I usually get from fresh/salty scents) Update: This is my new favourite fragrance. I'm an extremely gourmand girl (SDJ 71 and Phlur Caramel Skin) but this is just the most addictive fragrance for spring and summer, I genuinely can't stop wearing it. I even bought a backup bottle.

I love this scent! It’s such a unique scent to come out of SDJ, so I can see why it’s semi-devise! Água Mística smells almost entirely of tart tangerine, but the neroli and cedar gives it a slightly sharp, almost herbal/spicy, floral/woody base. The pineapple and the jasmine/peony aren’t super perceptible but do add just a touch of sweetness. It also smells so similar to Atelier Cologne’s Clementine California that I decided not to buy this mist even though I love the scent. It’s nearly spot on, except Água Mística has the slightest bit more sweetness because of the pineapple.

Super fresh with some sweetness. I do get pineapple and orange, but I also detect some melon vibe off it, but its not in notes so probably just my nose messing it up. Its for sure a spring/summer scent, and the juicy fruity sweetness is not cloying or juvenile imo. Does not last long, and stay close to skin, so its very private. It is a mist so its ok. I really love it, and it was love at first sniff. I wish it was an edt, bc I really love the scent! Perfect for beach and sun, but does not smell like sunscreen.

the beginning opens with a sweet, freshly sliced and dripping pineapple but is curbed by the zing of tangerine. i find both of these notes to work extremely well because they have sharp, fresh and sweet elements. very reminiscent of a slightly sweeter, more modern take on light blue. this has to be my favorite scent of the summer it immediately puts you in that mood for tanning and eating a fruit salad, sooo good! doesn't have anything weighing it down like with some other sdj scents, very airy

This is my second favorite SDJ fragrance mist after 39. I got this when it was released summer 2025. It’s very fresh, sweet and salty. Like smelling the ocean spray and the scent of freshly squeezed tangerine and pineapple juice at the same time. BEAUTIFUL. This became my favorite scent to put on before a run or when going to and freshening up at the beach. I’m about half way thru the bottle. Smelling it now, it’s gotten even sweeter with time. Definitely like a salt water sweetness going on.

i honestly love this so much and i can’t wait until it’s warmer so i can wear it again! i got a lot of compliments wearing it last summer. i like layering it with Glossier You OG to match the vibes of the salty skin accord, which is probably my favorite note in this fragrance. the tangerine in this is also amazing, and so bright and uplifting. this is an easy reach for me in the summer! this is legitimately the only Sol de Janerio scent i enjoy as a fresh/clean fragrance lover.

Wow, this has to be one of my fav SDJ scents!! It is definitely more of a straightforward tangerine scent, but I honestly don't mind that for it being a body mist. I mainly use SDJ mists for layering with other perfumes, so I was super happy to find this in Sephora. I can't wait to use it this summer with NEST Seville Orange perfume oil, as the two of them together create such a nice, clean, fresh orange scent for summertime!

This is actually one of my favourite SDJ scents in general, usually my nose gets tired of that 'something' I cannot explain in SDJ sprays... Like an afterscent? This one comes across on the sweet, syrupy end of a mandarin orange, but for a citrus, I'm thankful for anything that lasts longer than an hour on my skin. I don't get too much of the floral note, but a nice, simple summer punch.

I thought I would prefer Danca Mistica more than this, but this one is much nicer to me! It’s fresh, you can smell the sweet tangerine and pineapple initially but it settles into such a lovely fresh salty skin scent. The tangerine note smells exactly like Tangerine Jelly to my nose! One of the best limited editions they’ve done so far! It compliments the warmer weather perfectly.

I hate sdj mists they straight up smell like burnt sugar, synthetic cake or bakery I don’t want to smells like that. THIS is the BEST sdj mist by far. Bright Tangerine sweet fruity refreshing, sweet salty skin like accord in the dry down. Lovely. I think it’s very good performing as well for a mist. Sdj mists last for a while.

Amazing for layering aquatic fragrances!!! Increases longevity and makes for a beautiful projection of any salty/ocean perfumes. I love how slightly fruity this is too, not too in your face, but just the right amount of sweetness that I prefer for my summer fragrances. I can’t wait to wear the shit out of this haha.

This is a lovely slightly fruity aquatic scent that is great for summer. This is no typical sugar bomb that Sol de Janeiro usually releases, but I like this little foray into something more clean and crisp. This smells like a hot day on the bay or lake, summery but not necessarily beachy. I like it!

What a beautiful surprise! It’s nothing like their usual sweet and gourmand scents and that’s exactly why I love it. It reminds me of Mandarine Basilic, juicy and orangey. Fresh, vibrant, and perfect for summer. I loved it so much I already bought a backup bottle.

it’s november now and i’m sitting in my cold living room reminiscing on the warm, wild, perfect summer that i had while wearing this scent. it was everything. i’m a gourmand girl in the winter, so i’m looking forward to wearing this scent again next summer <3

Not exactly aquatic as the name implies but SUPER fresh and zesty. The tangerine is photorealistic, front and center, sweet but not sugary. I get a touch of the neroli in that there's something just a bit green in here. Simple but a lovely springtime citrus.

this smells like a juicy orange to me. or some sort of tropical smoothie with orange and pineapple. it's so refreshing and bright. i easily get headaches from fragrances and this doesn't seem to bother me at all.

This is a wishlist item for me currently...I took a sniff of it at Sephora and was shocked by how much I LOVED it! Very fresh. Would recommend to lovers of citrus and marine scents. Fabulous and refreshing.

Aqua mistica is one of the fragrances I understand why it has haters it’s a salty tangerine aquatic leaning fragrance but for me I ADORE this! It has incredible longevity and I get so many compliments

You know this one is good when my boyfriend who hates perfumes gives you a compliment on how good you smell 👀 I absolutely love it! Super easy and not boring summer scent! 🌸 Highly recommend!

This reminds me of Guerlain’s orange soleia, specifically in the dry down. I just finished that perfume and I’m so glad I have a body mist version of it 😍 So fresh and perfect for hot days

Sparkling Fanta. Very juicy. I love it.

This scent feels very nostalgic. Água Mística smells like the early 2000s to me—somewhere around 2007 to 2009. It reminds me of something my mom used to wear, especially one of those DKNY Be Delicious perfumes in the apple-shaped bottles. She had a few of the flankers, and this smells almost exactly like one of them. The more I wear it, the more it also brings to mind a Cacharel fragrance—possibly Amor Amor L’Eau—with that fizzy, Coca-Cola-like note in the background. That fizzy effect adds a certain coldness to the scent, like a sparkling drink straight from the fridge. On my skin, it’s not particularly citrusy. I get a juicy apple note with some blackcurrant behind it, and there’s a salty, slightly sticky skin-like vibe that makes it feel warm and familiar. It’s fresh and crisp but not sharp—there’s a softness to it. It made me realize how this kind of fruity-fresh scent used to be really popular in the 2000s but feels quite rare today. Honestly, I think it’s the kind of scent that could definitely come back into fashion. I blind bought it and really didn’t expect what I got—but I ended up loving it. I’ve only just started wearing it, so I can’t speak to the longevity yet. As for projection, it sits pretty close to the skin. I’ll update my thoughts after a few more wears.

Fresh, bright, crisp, citrusy, zesty, fruity, juicy, refreshing, aquatic/marine, sweet, floral, musky, woody, uplifting On me this opens fresh, citrusy, and fruity with neroli water, bright and citrusy tangerine, and fruity, tropical, and tart pineapple. As it starts drying down I get soft touches of velvety peony and fresh jasmine. Further into the dry down I get a slightly salty musky scent, and the aromatic woody sweet scent of cedar. Overall, this is a softly sweet citrusy scent that isn’t as aquatic as I’d originally expected. I bought the trio, and I’m still trying to completely figure out how I feel about this one and Dança Mística, but Flor Mística is definitely my favorite. I think this one is a really nice casual scent for spring and summer. I get great performance with Água Mística, especially considering it’s a mist. The longevity is very good, it lasts 8+ hours on me. The projection is really nice, it radiates out about 2-3 feet from me. For some reference, I own all of the permanent SDJ mists, Coco Cabana, 39, Summer é Amor, Beijos de Sol, Carioca Crush, and the new summer’25 limited edition trio. My favorites are Coco Cabana/39, Summer é Amor, Flor Mística, 62, 40, and 71

I thought this would be my favorite of the trio but it’s my second favorite, the first being Flor Mistica. I love orange and tangerine as citrus notes, but somehow this perfume makes it feel too edible for me. It’s the same thing I didn’t like about Orange Sanguine - just smells like an actual bowl of tangerines and tart fruits ready to be eaten. The salty skin accord is quite nice once the initial blast of citrus fades a bit. It’s nice and I like it, but I wouldn’t miss it if someone stole it. EDIT: This is super nice layered with the pink one, Flor Mistica. It makes me feel less like like an actual fruit salad and more like I have flowers in my hair, sipping on a tropical drink. This also makes Danca Mistica feel more palatable imo. Try layering a few of these together - they actually work quite well when mixed.

Amazing. The citrus and salt smells so good together. And I can't exactly pinpoint the pineapple but i know its there. The cedar ties the smell in together. It smells fresh and citrusy, I'd say it's a feminine smell, it gives that put together, nice and clean scent . The longevity of this one, I assume, should last more or less a day; I have the two other mística scents and I could still smell them on my wrist after a day of work. I have Dolce Gabbana Light Blue; Agua mística is more gentle and citrusy if compared to Light blue, while Light Blue is more crisp and subtle and fresh. I was scared reading the reviews for all three new mists, but I really like the new mists. Im very happy with my purchases. As always , the price is a bit too high, but is worth it.

Surprisingly my favourite of the 2025 summer collection! I typically can’t stand jasmine but I mostly get orange and pineapple with a tiny hint of jasmine that doesn’t come off too sharp. This is sweet and tart but not overly so. The sweetness wears off a bit after about an hour and the florals and salt become more distinct. I alwo don’t get any cedar. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 4 hours on me. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ✔️ Atelier Cologne Clémentine California: similar but has a hint of spiciness ❌ Ariana’s Mod Blush: very floral heavy to my nose, hardly fruity at all

My favorite scent from the new line. It's a breezy, fresh, sweet-green citrus scent with woody base. I can detect a hit of salty breeze. Not exactly aquatic as you might suspect. However, it didn't sweep me off my feet when I first smelled it - "Decent, but familiar profile. I don't need it.", I thought when I sniffed it at Sephora. Good for work and more casual occasions. Overall, the new collection doesn't introduce anything novel that you haven't smelled before. I will be testing it more.

Imagine you're at the beach, enjoying a piña colada. Suddenly, it spills over your skin. You go into the sea to rinse it off, and then lay under the sun to dry. That mix of sweet pineapple, salty sea water, and warm sun on your skin... that’s exactly what this perfume smells like. A “beach accident,” but in the best possible way. It’s tropical, exotic, fresh, juicy, and slightly salty. Definitely a summer scent. It has good projection and lasts around 6–7 hours on the skin.

my least favourite of the three, but i would still totally wear it. a sugary, sparkling fruity soda. i actually get the salty skin, which is fun (and puts this above Mandarin Basilic for me). the most refreshing of the three, but also the sweetest by far. it is very, very sweet - agree with the comparison to Orange Soleia which was also nauseatingly sweet (sorry!) so if you liked those two guerlains i think this would be a fun and fresh take

I was wondering why this smelled so familiar to chrome azzaro. after a quick search, they have a lot of shared accords, and both have citrus top notes, base cedar, and neroli + jasmine + pineapple. obviously chrome is a bit spicy, but if you have smelled chrome azzaro, then agua mistica is a slightly watered down, non spicy, feminine mist version. good for summer days and amazingly crisp on cold winter days

This isn't the type of fragrance I usually go for but what can I say, it's fun to wear. Juicy and fresh. Ideal for hot weather. Longevity is pretty good for SDJ. It's hardly the most original composition, and it reminds me of the kinds of body sprays from VS and BBW that I wore as a teen, but it doesn't feel too juvenile for me now at 36. I'd happily wear it to drink cocktails on the beach.

At first this is a big burst of tangy sugary yummy Fanta. However the florals come on STRONG immediately after and it turns into a very strong department store perfumey scent. I'll be gifting this to a friend, because the dry down is just too traditional and suffocating for me. Upside is that it sticks to clothes for 12+ hours!

Ah, its so pretty, its really juicy, tropical&aquatic; its such a fun&summery scent, i forgot i had it on my wrist today and i kept getting whiffs of a pineapple orange juice that just made me so happy, everytime i smelled it it gave me butterflies in my tummy! This would be perfect on the beach!

It opens with a strong burst of pineapple and citrus but dries down to a fruity- fresh scent that's quite generic, reminiscent of shower gel or shampoo. It's not bad though, it's pleasant and a super easy reach for summer. While it's feminine leaning, I think men could use it as well.

This smells so fresh... definitely my favorite out of the new collection. I only have SDJ 76 and 40 so I'm not exactly a summer scent kind of person but I'll definitely be wearing this on sunny days.

Smells almost identical to Blue Jasmine by Dolce and Gabbana. Such a refreshing scent for warmer months and can be stretched to late autumn as well.

I love aqua scents, so does this one however, this spray gives me a headache if I use too much of it. So 9/10

Pineapple dominates the opening. Go for it if you are after a summer candy-sweet fragrance.

Pretty much everyone else has covered how this fragrance impacts them, and don’t disagree with many. Mainly, I note its similarity to hair care/styling product fragrances, whether recent or years before this Sol de Janeiro existed. The thing is, I’m not persuaded to apply it on my skin, so spray Agua Mistica on watercolor paper, and use it as a room fragrance. Once it settles it’s pleasant and soothing. In fact, I got the idea to do this from a review here that compared it to a febreze scent. If I could find something similar, that wasn’t so laden with sweetness, I might be able to wear that. Keep the citrus, peony, and watery aspect, but tone down the thick wall of unrefined sweet. This seems to be an issue for me regarding all Sol de Janeiro scents thus far: they’re heavily sweet. I’ll test a few more before turning away from this brand, but with the three scents I’ve tried, I’m heading to the conclusion that I’m not their demographic.

Orange juice for days with some white florals and a sandy salty beach vibe. Perfect for summer and blind buy worthy! If you’re even considering this one of the three buy it. I’ll be living in this and Narcotica Lemonata this summer. Edit: Not sure if this doesn’t age (July 2025) well but applied the last few times and it smells sour. The salt and cedar are pulling forward. Probably will pass on this one for awhile.
