Cheirosa '48

Not on the same level as the original Cheirosa 62 but this is a fresh tropical scent for summer that is atypical of most summer releases. I am biased, I love a guava note and if a perfume has it I will probably love it. Guava, coconut water, and orchid are the most prominent to me. This is great when I need a break from a sunscreen scent in the summer. Like other Sol De Janeiro body sprays I think they are generally good quality and a good value, and this body spray is not an exception. I get moderate projection and it lasted 4 hours on skin in the heat. The scent trail lingers in the air forever. I spayed this on in my closet then returned after work and it was still in the air. It layers beautifully. I tried it with Victor and Rolf Tiger lily, Cheirosa 68, and Juicy Couture Bowdacious. The Cheirosa 48 and Bowdacious combo smells like a 2000s Victoria Secret Angel at the beach. I really appreciate that this is not a solar sunscreen scent because I already have enough of those. This is not my favorite from the brand but I do love it, and would repurchase. 8/10.

My signature fragrance. It’s undervalued in my opinion. For a body mist that lives in the family of Victoria’s Secret fruit and floral bombs (commendatory), it’s extremely fresh and refined. It has more character than similarly profiled EDPs. It’s sweet without being a sugar rush, it’s delicious without being too gourmand. It plays very well with others, acting as the perfect base for more complex floral or citrus EDPs. It blends deliciously with vanilla. It lingers in your hair like dappled sunlight. It fades from skin quickly, but lasts long on your clothes. It’s made for reapplication. Guava and vanilla are the dominant notes here. 48 is the embodiment of the color pink with a mouth full of coconut water.

This one is sunshine in a bottle. It’s bright, happy, and instantly lifted my mood from the very first spritz. I wanted something light and refreshing for my trip to Kos next week, and this fits the bill perfectly. It opens with a strong, juicy guava which leans ultra fleshy and tropical, although that softens after a few minutes. Then comes a wave of refreshing coconut water, a squeeze of lemon, and a soft vanilla base that keeps it sweet but not heavy. Girly, feminine, and effortlessly pretty, it’s the kind of scent that makes you feel put together without trying too hard. A summer must-have for me. Can't wait to pair this with a LBD and tropical sandals! Love this one!

i blind bought this because 68 has lowkey disappointed me which is a long story but basically after like a year mine started smelling like vinegar and i didn’t want a big 240ml to start smelling like vinegar so i got this instead and i love it. it’s tangy from the lemon but it’s sort of balanced out by the coconut water. i don’t understand the people saying this is like thank u next by ariana grande because this is wayyy too tart where thank u next is more coconutty and rose with no lemon anyways. i like this a lot for a blind buy, i was imagining it to be a bit less tart and sour but i can get over it if i layer it with 40 or maybe a tropical perfume

This is my boyfriend’s favorite scent I have, and it’s my fav SDJ scent (second fav is Carioca Crush, which I feel is kinda similar). It’s definitely one of the scents I reach for most because it’s just so fruity and reliable to me. Honestly I don’t really know what guava smells like or tastes like, but this spray is such a nice tropical fruity scent. It’s sweet in a candy way, but definitely not sickeningly sweet to me. Random, but I smelled this while under the influence of mushrooms, and it was legitimately the best thing I’ve ever smelled. I was absolutely transported lol.

Nice, fresh, happy and fruity scent. At first try it didn't feel that special, just a nice basic fruity floral body spray. But this kind of grew on me: I find using it in turns with Cheirosa 68, there are some similarities to them, whenever I feel like having an uplifting fresh and not too heavy scent. This and 68 are my most used body sprays at the moment. I do not get the coconut note really, mostly the fresh fruit.

I had to come back to this to say how this reminds me of la Nuit tresor nude and it’s something about the way the creaminess and fruits are blended, except this body spray is a lot fruitier and has guava that the EDP I’m referring to doesn’t have. I have both and smelled them together, I knew cheirosa 48 reminded me of something. I haven’t smelled the perfume by Ariana that others have mentioned.

I don't normally go for fruity or floral scents, but this is one of my exceptions! It's such a fun, fruity, bright scent that immediately makes me think of summer days at the pool or the beach whenever I smell it. Although it's a very tropical scent, I honestly feel like it could probably be worn year-round if someone (me) really wanted to. Not much else to say, just a lovely, girly perfume mist!

I love this so much. Summer in a bottle. Super sweet and fruity. I personally didn’t notice the coconut myself but my sisters did and one of them calls this my “coconut perfume” lol. Guava is the strongest note for me. When I wear this I feel like Malibu Barbie wearing a hot pink bikini and ordering a fruit smoothie from the cute guy at the fruit bar in the beach. I’ll repurchase every summer

a juicy, sweet guava fragrance that’s perfect for summer! It’s very youthful and feminine, but you can still wear it without feeling like you’re wearing a little girl’s body mist. My coworker actually got me hooked on this scent :) It lasts quite a while on the skin, maybe 6 hours. I love it for very hot weather because it’s not suffocating or heavy at all. Very fruity, almost clean!

I love the smell of this, a delicious guava fragrance. But unfortunately this body spray has no longevity compared to the other sol de janeiro fragrances. It's gone within the first hour of spraying it. I would suggest the mco beauty dupe, its a fraction of the price and lasts way longer on the skin!! As someone who owns both I can’t smell a difference in them.

I rarely fall in love with a perfume so quickly, it usually takes some time for a fragrance to grow on me so even I am shocked by how much I immediately liked this body mist! It's fruity, it's pink and it's fresh. It's a perfect scent for summer's hottest days since it's not cloying or too heavy. I think I might even like it more than my beloved Cheirosa 62☀️

Oh I love this... considering it’s just a body spray, it is quite strong and also just smells lovely. You get the guava immediately but it’s a creamy-fruit rather than being sharp or sour. I got a quad-set of 30ml bottles that were on sale and I’m quite glad I gave it a try rather than just picking a larger bottle of a version I have already tried and owned.

I didn’t expect to love this as much as I do. It’s exotic and fu, I think it will be perfect for the summer. As always it’s catered towards younger women, so if you like more mature, less sweet scents this is probably not for you. But I can recommend at least trying it, I like to layer the SDJ scents as I find them all to be quite versatile!

Smells very similar to Thank U, Next by Ariana Grande, in my opinion... but definitely more coconut water in the dry-down! The coconut water and guava give this a refreshing, beachy feel to it and overall, I am impressed; Performance = 6/10, but because of the price point, a few extra sprays won’t break the bank!

Well I’m almost 40 lol and I love this scent! I get so many compliments! Maybe I’m immature lol This is my highest complimented SDJ fragrance. It’s fresh fruity juicy a bit clean a hint of floral ! I love that it’s a body spray! I spray it on everything lol! Really beautiful fragrance

48 is literally the second best next to 62. it smells soooo fruity and delicious, idk how people can hate it !! but i do understand if you don’t like fruity scents i wouldn’t recommend. it lasts long and smells sweet too, its js amazing, im on my 4th bottle, my second signature scent

À softer version of Saltair’s Exotic Pulp body spray. The guava doesn’t have the thiols in this like other guava scents and I like that. Very soft and fruity. Will layer well with other guava scents as well as other tropical fruity scents like Wavechild or Miami Nectar.

My first sol de janeiro body mist, i love it <3 I smelled the ones in the store, and this was my favorite. I also really liked Rio radiance and 40 which i will purchase eventually i think. Gives me summer vibes and it’s light, not annoying to wear

Sweet and fruity, good for summer. Definitely like a teen girl and young woman sort of scent, can’t really imagine an old lady wearing this. It doesn’t smell similar to thank u next to me, smells COMPLETELY different in my own opinion

This was the scent that gave me a penchant for collecting perfume. I adore it in every way possible. I do smell the pickle accusations, but it doesn't hold up when it dries down. I like the saccharine sweetness of it.

juicy, fruity and a signature scent. i like to layer this with Vanilla Musk - Nemat International. a very feminine and girly scent which I prefer, even as a man. its probably my most used and recommended lol 9/10

I love to mix this with mod vanilla it smells so nice and sexy my boyfriend loves it, and it helps a ton with longevity. Sweet fruity and tropical this will always be my favorite Sol de Janeiro.

this is the best one out of all the sol de janeiro perfumes, imo! im a gourmand lover but this sits in between fresh and gourmand for me, sweet but also pleasant and fruit fresh!

Fruity fresh, better if you like fruity and not quite as dessert sweet. Good for layering or stand alone, I can smell many of the notes. Juicy and refreshing and feminine.

This perfume kind of reminds me of Ariana Grande’s “Thank U next” perfume. However, I really love the smell here. Super fresh and I can definitely smell a lot of coconut.

one of my sol de janeiro favs! she’s clean, fruity and feminine. i get some compliments when i wear this fragrance. she lasts me about 4 hours on clothes and 3 on skin.

Besides from the scent being good, this also has really amazing longevity for me! Which is usually not the case for me with mists, so double yay!

smells like candy cute but overpriced

Fruity, sweet Bright, juicy, tropical, happy, fun, cheerful, playful, uplifting, and refreshing. I think this is the fruitiest mist from SDJ that I have tried (Carioca Crush is up there too, but not quite as much as this one imo). I find the bright and juicy guava nectar to be the most prominent note. I also get the tropical coconut water and slightly tangy lemon twist, especially in the opening. As it dries down I do get some of the warm vanilla and soft musk too, but I still get those fruity notes very prominently throughout the wear. I’m a big fan of SDJ scents and also own Coco Cabana 39, Summer é Amor, Beijos De Sol, Carioca Crush, 62, 40, Rio Radiance 87, 71, 59, 68, and 76. My top 3 favorites are Coco Cabana 39, Summer é Amor, and 62. While I do think all of them are pretty and don’t dislike any of them, Unfortunately 48 is my least favorite of the line because it’s just so fruity and tropical without much else. It’s a very youthful scent. I tend to prefer beachy/coconut, sweet, and vanilla scents. However, if you’re a fan of bright, fruity, and tropical scents then you’ll probably really enjoy 48. I get good performance with Cheirosa 48. The longevity is decent... it lasts several hours on me, but I do need to reapply once or twice throughout the whole day. The projection is also nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

Sweet, fruity, tropical, juicy, bright, fresh, powdery, floral, musky, citrusy, warm, zesty, refreshing, feminine, sensual, flirty, playful, uplifting, cheerful, delightful, sunny On me this opens with bright and juicy guava nectar, fresh and tropical coconut water, and just a touch of citrusy lemon on a bed of sweet, powdery, and delicate vanilla orchid . As it dries down the bright and juicy tropical top notes fade somewhat, but remain intertwined as the powdery vanilla orchid, and musk take over. The top notes remaining in the dry down create a very nice freshness with the powdery and musky vanilla, while the vanilla and musk help to balance the sweetness of the fruits. The notes that are most prominent on my skin are the guava nectar, coconut water, vanilla orchid, and musk. I’m a big fan of the SDJ fragrances, and own all of the permanent line, as well as the ‘24 and ‘25 limited editions. I do enjoy all of them, but my top 5 favorites are Summer é Amor, 39, 62, 40, and 59. I don’t always enjoy super tropical scents like this one, but while it’s not my favorite, I still really do enjoy 48. I think it’s because of the coconut water (I’ve always been a big fan of coconut) and the fresh yet powdery and musky warm vanilla dry down.

I really like this! I got the small one as a free gift with purchase from Beauty Bay, I like SDJ but usually gravitate to their more gourmand scents (Cheirosa 71, 62, 59 and 39 are my favourites for reference). This has really, really similar DNA to Victoria's Secret Bombshell, but without the wateryness. It's sweet, fruity and bright but not at all cloying - the longevity is decent but nothing crazy, and definitely weaker than that of SDJ's more vanilla-centric fragrances which, to a degree, is to be expected. The projection is good too, it's very shampoo-ey in a good way and definitely is a clean, fresh-out-the-shower scent. I'm surprised at how much I like this, I'll use up the bottle I have and decide whether to get a larger size eventually.

She feels like the type of person who loves 2yk fashion ,is a living meme and chaotic person who doesn't take themselves too seriously and loves to go to the mall for overpriced glittery pink lip gloss and taco bell. This is a cute little fragrance, and nothing too serious at all, but quite pretty! The guava and coconut are quite fresh and aquatic, it has a decidedly *wet* (not in a gross, but in a hydrating way) texture to it. 87 was dry to my nose, and 71 is flaky like a cookie. I really think it needs to be noted that SDJ is actually quite good at formulating a range of scents and sensations, they don't all have the same feel to them at all. As this dries it does become softer and fluffy on the skin. It just screams "Gen-Z!", but I'm a Millennial and I absolutely support this (us older people need to branch out and keep exploring). It's beachy, youthful and quenching. ⛱️ 🧉

I bought this body mist to remember my trip in Thailand 🌺🐬🥥🥭 :). It's exotic, electric, fresh and girly. I do definitely get the guava the most. As well as some coconut and orchid on the dry down, but I think there are more fruits than listed I swear I smell mango too. Reminds me of fruity vs body mists from 2000-2010. ୨୧....୨୧ ....୨୧ Stats: Sillage, medium & since it's a body mist it decreases when dry Longevity, of a literal fart. Sprayed on my wrist and was completely gone in 3h. But works great sprayed on clothing or hair. Price value, 32$ for 90ml seems fair, (vs bm pricerange) Gender, more feminine Time, day/summer ୨୧....୨୧ ....୨୧ 7/10

This is a great summer scent as it is extremely fruity and very straightforward with the guava. It’s great for layering with other fruity perfumes (especially guava granita by Ellis brooklyn - if u like this body mist you will like the perfume although it has some banana in it). This body mist is also a bit florally although it’s not that strong. The projection and longevity of this is really good, which surprised me. It lasts an eternity on clothes. However, I can’t really see myself using this too much so I’m trying to get through it and I wouldn’t repurchase.

This is a good fruity summer scent! If you're looking for a burst of juicy fresh guava goodness then this is a fantastic fragrance option. I don't wear this purely just because I don't like fruity fragrances as much as sweet sugary notes, but I do like wearing this to the beach or on a hot summer's day. This smells really nostalgic to me, and it's a good option if you want something long lasting with decent silage. I get a lot of the guava and musk but not a lot of vanilla and orris. keep that in mind, but give this a go!

In store, it always smells more like a sweet, juicy guava to me that made me fall in love with it. However, my flanker is mostly just coconut water, which I actually don't like that much at all. I'm leaving it on the shelf for the colder seasons, and I'll give it a try when it gets warm again. It's very mild and inoffensive in warm weather, so I like wearing it to work in the summer or on casual days as a base layer. Unless I'm very pleasantly surprised in Summer 2026, I won't rebuy it.

smells pretty much just like how its listed, except i can smell a bit of salt in the drydown? (a bit like how cheirosa 39 has a salty undertone to it, though its not an issue for me) guava & coconut water are DEFINITELY prominent i will say, and its really fruity and sweet but not to a cloying degree!! though i do think sdj as a whole is a tad bit too expensive for what it is because the sillage and longevity (like with most body mists) isnt strong

Fun, fresh, and fruity. The guava is full force and ripe, the coconut (water) makes it more refreshing than creamy and powdery. The vanilla adds the warmth and balances the zest from the citrus. This is very young and playful, so I like to wear this when I’m looking to smell fresh, girly, and uplifted to work out. I will be keeping this on hand for the second summer, for quick sprays and a mood booster.

Of all the cheriosas I've tested, number 48 seems to have the best longevity and sillage, but I still think it's overpriced given its performance. It's really not strong enough and stays very close to the skin, but at least I can smell this one for about half an hour or so. It's a happy, refreshing fragrance, perfect for summer and nicely blended. I just wish it hung around longer.

It's exactly what you can expect from a summery body spray, and it only so very loosely reminds me of the flor mistica one - probably bc of the coconut water accord. I like it but i feel like I would like it even more if it was a little bit more vanillic. It's fresh and fruity which is nice sure but to me it feels like some more vanilla would balance it out.

Very fruity and tropical! I feel like I'm on a beach on a hot summer day when I smell this perfume. I see why others would find this too synthetic — it definitely is, but I can still enjoy this scent from time to time. Simple but effective, and definitely my favorite by SDJ of the ones I've smelled.

It doesn’t smell bad - but I feel is a bit too bubbly and sweet for me. Smells like a cocktail on the beach, lots of sun and the fun you have in your 20s. The initial spray is a bit too sweet and fruity, but it dries down in a very addictive scent.
