Cheirosa '87

Beachy, warm, sweet, sunny, bright, exotic, floral, creamy, feminine, sensual, uplifting, nostalgic On me this opens beachy, sweet, and warm with tropical and creamy coconut milk, and the exotic and mineral scent of warm sand. As it begins to dry down the solar florals come into play with creamy tuberose and tropical ylang ylang. Further into the dry down I get the sweet, creamy, and sensual vanilla and the golden warmth of amber which really helps to enhance the sand accord. Overall I get a lovely beachy/coconut scent with just a touch of a high end sun tan lotion scent. It’s very pretty, transportive, and nostalgic. 87 evokes the feeling of soaking up the sun on my skin with my toes in warm sand, a coconut drink in my hand, and relaxing on a tropical beach with a gentle ocean breeze that brings whiffs of exotic solar florals. To me this feels feminine, and like it would suit women of pretty much any age. It does have a slightly youthful vibe to it, but nothing that would make it just for tweens, teens, and 20 something’s. I’m 37 and still enjoy wearing this very much. This feels best suited for the warmer weather of late spring and summer, but could also be used anytime during the year if you’re wanting to evoke feelings of warmth, the beach, and summertime. I feel like this works best for more casual occasions, as well as for work, or school. I do see some similarities to other fragrances in this category like Alien Goddess, Replica Beach Walk, and The 7 Virtues Coconut Sun. Even though they’re similar they’re also still different enough that I still have all of them in my collection. I do own both the OG Rio Radiance, as well as this newer 87 version, and at least to my nose I think they smell exactly the same. I’m a big fan of the SDJ line, and I own all of the permanent line fragrances, as well as Coco Cabana, 39, Summer é Amor, Beijos de Sol, and Carioca Crush. While 87 isn’t in my top 3 favorites (Coco Cabana/39, Summer é Amor, 62) of the line it’s still one that I really enjoy, and no where near my least favorite. Honestly I think it deserves more love than it’s been getting. I do get good performance with 87. The longevity is decent, it lasts about 5-7 hours before it might need a touch up. The projection is nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length. For reference, some of my favorite beachy/coconut fragrances include Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Yves Rocher Monoi Eau des Vahines, Kilian Sunkissed Goddess, Replica Beach Walk, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, JHAG Lust For Sun, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Bobbi Brown Beach, Kayali Maui in a Bottle, Kayali Maldives in a Bottle, SDJ Coco Cabana, B&BW Coco Paradise

best cheirosa fragrance imo. can’t get enough of this one, it’s just so gorgeous! feels like a hot sunny beachy day after laying in the sun for hours with sunscreen & sand on your skin and on some tropical island but sunscreen in the best way possible, think along the lines of sweet, milky type of sunscreen. def can smell the coconut milk, sand and tuberose combo the most. sometimes i just put it on to put myself in a better mood. it’s a very uplifting fragrance, i feel like you can’t go wrong with this one, no matter what season/weather it is. 10/10 for me.

Another absolute LOVE from me.... my favorite of the line and maybe the best of them all. Lovely lovely lovely beach scent! Smells like expensive sunscreen and salty skin and sunburn. You're going back to the vacation house after a thunderstorm rolled in. A must have for anyone who loves summery, sunscreen-y beach scents. Like many other people have said, pair this one with Replica's Beach Walk! It's PERFECT!!! I get so many compliments. I wear this one a lot on it's own, too.

Smells like summer. nice projection, warm sun and sand and beachy sweetness and sunscreen, which is definitely not for everyone but WOW am I into it. It’s not too strong but it’s not too weak, either. Literally one of my favorite perfumes Ever as I’m writing this. Puts visions in my head of tanning on the deck of a beach cottage, on the beach, or by the pool in a bikini. When it fades, I get that utterly tantalizing skin scent of vanilla left over.

Omg this is the type of scent I’ve been searching for, for years! My friend was wearing this & I couldn’t get enough of it. This is a beachy, coconut forward spray. To me this is summer in a bottle. It has that warming comforting summer evening air to it, the longevity is amazing - I sprayed it at 9am & can still smell it now at 22:00, my new fave! If you’re looking for a coconut, summer, fresh scent this is the one!

I know that this is probably the most underrated from the cheirosa line.. I finallt gave it a chance and sprayed it on my wrist & hair. As I was walking around the mall I smelled the coconut and Ylang Ylang, I had to go back to Sephora to buy it. Somehow I get Jasmine in the opening though, it gets better and better as it dries down. Recommend for Spring & summer.

This smells like happy, carefree days at the beach. It is sweet but not cloying, it has some watery freshness to it. I can't get enough of it. My boyfriend knew i wanted it and gifted it to me🥰 and i wore it during our seaside vacation. It was so perfect. It smells coconutty and flowery, with a strong sunscreen note. I love it so much, it is summer in a bottle.

Smells like you actually went to the beach, slathered on coconut sunscreen then rolled around in the sand. Sunscreen is front and center and everything else is in the background. There is a floralness to it. I could see some people gagging at the scent because it is very much SPF. Yasss for me personally.. don't blind buy if you don't love sunscreen

I have this in the Rio radiance and new bottle. Love the coconut sunscreen scent it gives off. I feel like it can be a great layer for other perfumes to add a summer vibe or deepen it. So happy I just found an "inspired" version of this on dua so I can wear it as a standalone perfume. It's called coconut vanilla and candy shores.

I got this as a gift from a friend after we’d been sniffing through all the SDJ scents. To me, many of them weren’t anything special, but this? STRAIGHT UP the beach in a bottle. Its got coconut, vanilla and even a sand note? It’s admittedly quite sunscreeny, but I like it that way, the way it brings out nostalgia.

stealing your mom’s lipstick, wearing your first string bikini, flirting with the lifeguard, going to second base at summer camp. this smells like budding sexuality in hot-sticky july, nostalgic summer sensuality in a clumsy and sweet way. also smells like condoms.

This is perfect for a beach day but I wear it all the time. It just smells so good and in my opinion it lasts longer than the other SDJ. My favorite fragrance by them for sure. If you like white florals and coconut definitely try this!

pair this with the beach scent from b&bw and you will have an amazing daytime scent for the summer time. i love coconut salty perfumes so much, a very recent discovery of mine.

The best vacation sunscreen smell ever

At first this is like a beachy tanning lotion, but that soon fades into a tropical floral that reminds you of a day at the beach or a breeze through a garden full of tropical flowers. I love the tuberose note, but then again that's basically my signature fragrance. I also like that it's called 87, as that's my birth year. It doesn't make the scent better, but it'd a slight positive for me personally. It's very relaxing. It makes me think I'm going on vacation, not into work which is what I'm really doing. It's very summery and warm, but in a heat way, not like musky even though there are some warm base notes. It makes me think of a hot summer day. Or I guess the weather now, as it's been in the high 80's lately. I like it a lot. It's not a favorite, but it's nice for a quick fragrance boost when I just want to smell fresh and happy.

It smells exactly like sunscreen upon the first spray and melts into amber vanilla within 20-30 minutes, as suggested! It's fun and not to be taken seriously! I feel like Sol de Janeiro, usual. It doesn't project or last long; it's an intimate one for you or whoever is in your personal space. I love it anyway for what it is :) It's around $25, I believe, not including tax, and it's a body spray, so it's not meant to be intense. It's soooo nostalgic and delicious and playful! It's not a high-end smelling vanilla but more leaning toward synthetic smelling but not fully and not in an unbearable way. (I get headaches, so I would immediately return if so!) I definitely recommend it if you are into vanilla, amber, & coconut notes and want a fun blast from the past as far as summer childhood memories go!

Uplifting tropical scent that is perfect in humid heat. Watery coconut in the opening is overtaken by solar tuberose and ylang ylang. This simplified, non-citrus body spray fills the place in my wardrobe Estee Lauder left when they reformulated my beloved Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent. I wore this side-by-side with OUAI St. Barts body mist. St. Barts has watery fruit and citrus, but in the main they are exceedingly similar in the midnotes. St. Barts dries down to a shampoo, clean vibe while 87 maintains its tropical tuberose. I'd wear St. Barts to the office, but I prefer 87 for my casual summer tropical floral vibe. They are different, but similar enough that you don't need both. Whichever brand makes the scent a perfume first gets my vote.

Okay ngl i was pretty cruel to her (not as cruel as the people in lower reviews saying she smells like condoms💀💀💀)for always ingnoring her at the SDJ section,but i got bored, saw her, tried her again and this time she din't had that weird honey-flower-ish smell i hate in all those powdery grandma perfumes.She smelled kinda boring at first but then....It actually smelled ,idk how should i describe it... sunny? Like ,i agree with everybody saying she smells like a vacation.I smell the coconut drinks, sand,the tender warmth coming from it and also a bit of honey? Anyways ,idk why, but i would wear this before bed rather than on the beach, it's soooo relaxing, like the 59💛💜

I actually have come to dislike Alien Goddess personally, but *this* little body spray is more along the lines of what I had hoped AG would've been. It's a powdery coconut...plush, soft, with 0 juiciness. In fact, I would claim this fragrance is quite dry. But it's also solar. The yellow color of the bottle is SO spot-on, and I do appreciate when that happens. Tuberose and ylang ylang? Yes...well, maybe. But they're very, very simplified and *friendly*. Nothing green (as tuberose can be), or overly indolic/heavy. Just playful florals atop a plushy coconut. I absolutely agree with some folks who have stated that this is underrated, I do too. And I actually think it smells the most upscale of the bunch.

I must be hallucinating coz i dont get coconut at all. Listen it's smells super nice but too me this is a freshie. Not a pillowy comfort zone but more of a sophisticated flowery freshie. It could very well have been a Calvin Klein, it's not milky or creamy at all. It's just very freshie comforting flowers. Love it in the summer but the longevity is not the best :/

i really enjoyed wearing this during warm days c: it’s creamy, bright and i loved the tuberose in it. the coconut cream gives it a bit of a spf vibe but not in an unpleasant way. it doesn’t last very long on me, but it was still nice to finish. i wouldn’t repurchase since i prefer 59 and 68 !

SHOCKED at the performance of Rio Radiance / Cheirosa ‘87! Take the sweet (not artificial, if that’s possible) bubble-gum tuberose note in My Way EDP and add some summer go-to notes, and you get this mist! Ugh I AM IN LOVE. A few spritz and you’re good for 6+ hours. Well, at least for me ;)

Wow. that’s very beachy. More coconut than the pistachio and salted caramel that’s for sure. Literally smells like some sunscreens. I mean, if you wanna smell like sun cream on the beach, this is good. I think this is more beachy than the Replica beach perfume.

Every time i wear this scent my man compliments me for my smell, every single time without fail! It’s light, it’s feminine, it’s very tuberose-forward. Honestly it’s not my personal favorite but my man goes crazy for it so imma keep wearing it 😋

It smells exactly like stepping out of the shower after a long day of swimming and sunbathing at the beach. I received it as a gift with a recent Sephora purchase. I can see myself using it in the summer, but I wouldn’t buy it with my own money.

Hyper concentrated tuberose and ylang ylang. Sunscreeny and summery. Sillage is excellent for a body spray, lasting for about 2 hours on clothes. This scent is loud and concentrated!

It smells like all of the classic summer fragrances like the Soleil Blanc, Teracotta, Sun di Gioia. Coconut, creamy, white/yellow floral

Sampled and wore it until it was gone. All I really get are lotion-ey soft white florals of some kind. A lot of people say sunscreen but I get more of a lotion, or a hand/body cream. Less beachy and more clean girl. Lotioned girl. I dunno. Maybe because I don't get any of the coconut milk note (really sadly for me since I was looking forward to it! I love coconut (milk)). None of this is bad though, it’s nice. If you're into skincare type scents you'll like it. Also, good longevity and projection for a body mist I think. At least on my skin. Which entices me. Solid frag and versatile, school/workplace safe (esp because it's a body mist), and a real good performance for a mist. I’d wear it if I owned it, but I dunno if I would buy it.

Hmmm. This scent is so overpoweringly "beachy" that I cannot imagine many scenarios in which one could wear this regularly, save actually going to the beach. I definitely got scented sunscreen vibes from this, but not much else. I resonate with some other reviewers calling it a bit rubbery. It is not necessarily unpleasant at all, the tuberose paired with the coconut is quite nice. It just lacks depth in my opinion. I can see the appeal, but unfortunately this scent was not for me.

Very much a summer perfume. But to me not the one for the summer. I’m still looking for that creamy gourmand tropical coconut. SDJ 87 is coconut forward and surprisingly I can still smell it on myself after a few hours, despite it being a body mist. It’s quite nice. It’s very much giving salt water/ocean water perfume. The dry down smells coconuty with a hint of tropical, but the middle notes, I don’t quite like. Not sure if I’d like to purchase this during the Sephora sale.

This one is absurd. Literaly 30 minutes after spraying, there's nothing left. It's a real shame because it smells so nice and tropical for summer, but there's no way I'm reapplying fragrance more frequently than sunscreen. Perhaps good for when it's hot but you have nowhere to go, so you can just sit at home reapplying all day. You will go through this bottle FAST, considering how much you need to use to maintain any trace of scent.

People comparing it to a condom scent aren't quite far from the truth — it has a powdered rubber DNA. But it is solar and milky, like sunscreen on a warm, soft and clean skin. Clean girl vibes! It is a weak, intimate scent though. I use it on fabric to feel somewhat fragrantly dressed. Carry the smallest bottle in a bag to feel refreshed when needed.

Great summer scent but i have a grudge against the perfume because i lost it like a week or so after getting it💔 If im gonna be honest it smells like sunscreen and the beach in the best way possible, purely summer!! Goes PERFECT with masion margielas beach walk⭐️

Upon spraying, I am greeted with the standard melted plastic note that seems common to Sol de Janeiro fragrances (I think it is the propellant they use to make it spray nicely from the atomizer). Like every other scent I’ve tried from this brand, the melted plastic note goes away quickly. Unfortunately, it melts into a suffocatingly dry, waxy, vanilla. There’s barely any coconut here, mostly just dollar store vanilla candle. As it dries down, you can smell the barest hint of a tropical floral, but there is still a waxiness to it that just makes you think Dollar Tree candle. Sorry SdJ, but this one isn’t it. Lasting power is about five hours with moderate silage.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent. It smells like summertime, the beach, like walking into an early 2000s tanning salon. It smells like sunscreen and beachy. However, it's SUPER over priced and DOES NOT LAST MORE THAN MAYBE an hour on the skin and the scent trail lasts just about as long. Not worth it but if you want a fresh pick me up scent sort of a aromatherapy, then I'd say get this. I'd also say it's more suitable as a hair perfume then a body spray.

Just a tuberose gateway perfume and whether or not u like tuberose determines if this is a negative or positive comment. Like I get that, it's summery, it's giving sunscreen and breeze and sun and u like it because it's a summer body spray but I am scared at this point to welcome tuberose in my life. Guessing it will feel a bit more edgy than the sol de 62 if you are a tuberose fan since 62 is a bit more overused
