Flor Mística

Beachy, Beautiful, Sweet, tropical, exotic, bright, sunny, radiant, warm, fruity, juicy, lush, floral, fresh, green, feminine, sensual, flirty, charming, whimsical, enchanting, dreamy, luminous, cheerful, uplifting I wasn’t sure which of this trio would be my favorite, but now that I’ve tried all 3 it’s definitely this one! I don’t love the whole trio enough to order a second set, but I absolutely want a 2nd bottle of this one! This is right up my alley with the coconut and orange blossom! I’m not familiar with how flamingo flower would smell, but here I think it’s giving a sweet, slightly tart, tropical fruity floral scent. I also think that there might be some amber in this because of the golden warmth that I’m getting. On me this opens with the sweet and citrusy orange blossom, tropical and fresh coconut water, exotic flamingo flower, sweet and warm gardenia, and I suspect some warm and golden amber. Once it’s dried down the orange blossom and coconut water remain prominent, as does the warm ambery scent I’m getting, but I also get some soft musk, and the fresh and green scent of the palm leaf. To me this definitely feels feminine, and like it would suit women of any age. I think it’s best suited for the spring and summer months because it has a beachy, warm, and sweet scent to it. I think this is fitting for most occasions other than the fancier ones. I also think it’s a good choice for work and/or school. I get great performance with Flor Mística, especially for o body mist. The longevity is really good, I get 8+ hours with it. The projection is nice, it radiates out about 2-3 feet from me. For some reference, I own and really enjoy the entire SDJ permanent line as well as Coco Cabana, 39, Summer é Amor, Beijos de Sol, Carioca Crush, and this new summer ‘25 trio. My favorites are Coco Cabana/39, Summer é Amor, Flor Mística, 62, 40, and 71.

When I first smelled the new trio of body mists in stores this was my second favorite, but it's quickly become a tie with Água Mística after wearing it a few times. I get a hint of the orange blossom up front, followed by those white florals, and then the warmth and slight creaminess of the musk. I don't get any coconut here at all, but I suppose the coconut water could be adding the slight freshness and sweetness I get in the opening. While this is nice on its own, where I think this scent really shines is paired with Cheirosa '62 and its accompanying body care products, as SDJ suggests. The resulting combo is sweet, floral, and tropical - it cuts the heaviness of '62 that can happen in super hot weather very nicely. So far I have enjoyed using the new Body Badalada lotion as a base, spraying Flor Mística on top, and then adding a few sprays of both mists later on in the day to touch up the scent. This feels somewhat similar to Cheirosa '87 in that they are both solar florals, but '87 is SO sunscreen-y and tuberose heavy. (And Ouai St. Bart's isn't even close - I am mystified as to why it's listed here!)

Gorgeous & my absolute fave!! This is in no way green, this is a burst of gardenia & orange flower with a little from this & that to make it more tropical. I got a backup & thinking to get 1-2 more backups, because of the gardenia & orange flower with coconut water mix. Finally a true white floral body spray. The other 2 although not spot on my taste, they are nice to be honest. Both blue & green fall unisex & maybe borderline masculine especially the blue one. Fave 1 Flor Mistica (this), 2 Dança Mistica (green bottle), 3 Agua Mistica (blue bottle).

This is what I expected from this collection and Sol de Janeiro delivered! It's a coconutty floral scent, radiant and somewhat creamy, feminine and a perfect beachy and summer scent. To my nose it's also a bit salty when it dries down. Sure it's nothing groundbreaking, fragrances like this have already been done both by SDJ and other companies, but I feel like when it comes to SDJ these kind of fragrances are the ones they do best. It does remind me of Rio Radiance but I wouldn't say they are too too similar.

Oh I absolutely love this one. I knew I would as I adore tropical scents, and this one is stunning. I would say it's most similar to Rio Radiance / Tan Lines / Cheirosa 87 as it has a similar creamy coconut paired with florals, but this one is less heavy - the coconut is lighter (water as opposed to a more lactonic milky vibe), and the the florals are more non-descript, but with a warm, balmy feeling. I'm getting gorgeous wafts after spraying it on a hour or two ago, quite tempted to pick up another of these!

My second favourite from the summer line, after Agua Mistica. It’s a gorg summer floral scent, with a little warmth to it. Compared with the blue one, this one is slightly warmer to me and more feminine.

Incredibly strong green floral front from the first application. No creaminess. Very coastal, reminds me of being on the beach on a perfect sunny day — not too hot, with a nice sea breeze on your pretty/cute swimsuit. It's a bit funny, since the orange blossom took the centre stage and if there were any hints of coconut, I couldn't catch it. Which disappointed me since I picked this up for the sole reason that somebody told me this is the fresh coconut scent I'm looking for. But it is fresh, just not the clean and clear coconut water I was hoping to discover. I think the green has something to majorly do with the flamingo flower and palm leaf, even though I have no idea how the former even begins to smell like, but I think this fragrance is flamingo-flower-centric despite the other notes making an appearance. After it dries down a little more, the gardenia's stronger. You get the hints of rose the notes had promised, but if you're expecting something more like rose water, then no; it's just more of when you get up close to a rose flower and sniffed it point-blank, it would smell much like that. It gets a little creamier because of the musk, not the lactonic kind of creamy. Still a perfumey scent, quite floral, speaks out to me as "Oh my, so feminine... This lady has got quite the work-life balance. Conversations must be really nice with this kind of person." To reach the final drydown, the scent starts reminding me of when I squished an ant under my finger and its body released this specific smell. Doesn't sound pleasant, but it's not exactly the same. If you never thought about it or had experienced that smell, you wouldn't even catch it in the perfume experience. Just something I noticed. Doesn't ruin my experience because it's not even that prominent. Right after that, it starts smelling sunscreeny. A little screechy, but I think it's only noticeable if you put your nose right up to it. Like, ohoho, perfect beach and coastal experience, 10/10. The more I think about it, it somehow reminds me of BBW Gingham, the main blue one. And I can say that with certainty, because I am a girl with almost the entire Gingham line in my inventory (and yeah, I am still quite upset about it, haha yvy). After more than 6 hours (I applied it before going to bed, no other products applied to my wrist, save for this perfume), I could still sniff it there. Honestly, I really love that leftover muskiness. I could also *finally* smell the coconut, I wonder where that went the entire time xD I'm surprised it lasted this long, considering it's a mist, not even an EDT. I feel like my mother would love this smell. She's a big fan of Anaïs Anaïs's Cacharel EDT. And as much as I find it's bit too "vintage" for my taste (it's as if the aldehydes had aged since the 70s, but I really do think they messed up the reformulation, because the flowers part of it is so sweet, but god, the green of that one made me feel like I had partly dried up grass in my mouth), I feel that she would very much appreciate this perfume because of the green-ness and white floral lead in the accords. I'm pretty sure her tastes lean much into this territory. I can't wait to get her to try this scent out when I see her :>>!! In conclusion, I'm not a fan because I'm only here to find a fresh coconut water scent profile perfume and this is not what I'm looking for, but I know a lot of people who would love this fragrance. Try it out if you like something that smells fresh and totally in for the summer. I think it blooms better in warmer weather ^^☀️ ———·——— Some other things I thought to add on to this review: 1. I'm fascinated that everyone here smells something different from the perfume. Indeed, from the first time I sniffed the perfume bottle, I couldn't make out anything distinct. This is the kind of scent that reveals itself depending on how your skin wears it. I think the experience would be varied on your clothes too, but it truly shines on the skin. 2. I feel that a man could wear this. Despite the pink bottle and what I said earlier in this post regarding how I think it's a feminine scent, I don't think you'd bat an eye if you found this on a man due to how none of the notes really stand out as outlandishly floral, much less white floral. To the untrained nose (or a nose not used to sniffing out the details in a fragrance scent), it just smells green. I think this would smell nice on a guy who plays a lot of sports or spends a lot of time outdoors. I could even recommend it to older school boys who want to start trying out a fragrance, but also don't want to smell like the other guys. But I do imagine it would be embarrassing if many girls at school wore this and could recognise the smell from the get-go. I'd take it as a "guys, wear it at your own discretion". 3. As little as I notice the coconut water, I just realised it's not really a note in itself; but rather it's actually a catalyst for the other notes to shine through. If you think about it, coconut water when added to a drink or dish just adds the littlest bit of sweetness and freshness, so I think this acts the same way. 4. One of the first times I actually don't agree with any of the negative reviews on a perfume on Fragrantica. In my opinion, there is no way this can smell as "just water" or low longevity or "everyone who has bothered to create a fragrantica account, already has something like this in their collection" because hey, I bothered to have a Fragrantica account, I personally have never had a perfume like this, neither have I ever smelled anything like this on another person before. Maybe where you are or were (whether you live(d) there or simply been around certain places) have people who smell like this, thus making it feel generic due to its popularity as a "general scent", but to me, I find that this is quite different. It doesn't smell generic to me, because generic to me would smell cheap. And this doesn't really smell cheap to my nose. Hope none of this is offensive, but people who state their opinions as facts invoke my rage. I respect those who say they are disappointed by the line though, because I understand expectations. 5. As another reviewer have said, this does pair well with Mugler's Alien Goddess. Granted, I don't have it myself, but one of the perfumes regarded as its dupe is Kayali's Utopia Vanilla Coco 21 (which is why I got this one instead). I will write a review on that too, but I think because they're both solar white florals, that's why they could work together so well. Just note that Flor Mística is lighter and greener with its notes of orange blossom, gardenia and flamingo flower (along with coconut water and palm leaf), while UVC21 is bolder and yellower in florals with its notes of tuberose, jasmine and honeysuckle (along with coconut milk, bourbon vanilla and sandalwood). Otherwise, their makeup is the same, but with different moods. You could say Flor Mística waves you over under her flamboyantly giant sunhat with "Hello!", a cheerfully-decorated mojito in hand, while in the shade, UVC21 sultrily voices with "Take a seat with us, wouldn't you? Enjoy a drink or two," with knees crossed over and fingers elegantly splayed out beneath her cocktail glass. Both are inviting, but both have their own energies :)

If you like white florals, go for it. Flor mística is a nice, fresh, white floral body mist for the spring and summer days. The coconut note stays in the background, as the white flowers remain the main scent. I don't get the orange smell but it might be just me. Its a little bit sweet (??) without being anywhere close to gourmand scents, if it makes sense. I am not a fan of white florals, they overwhelm me (for instance, I used to get a headache from Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia), but this body mist blends the white florals well. I actually see myself wearing this . Basically blind bought this (did not spray it on myself in store) , but i am very happy with this. I was scared reading the reviews, previously was disappointed with Cheirosa 68 (i thought the lychee would be more prominent lol, but i like it regardless). I will say this for every SDJ body mist: not enough product compared to the price. However if you know this will make you happy, go for it.

I don’t know how people compare this to rio radiance, It’s so different! it’s not a sunscreen scent by any means and I would describe this as a floral fruity mist while rio radiance is a floral sunscreen scent and a masterpiece body mist in my humble opinion 😊 This is an interesting creamy tropical floral fragrance that has a coconut water background to it. The gardenia isn’t heady and blends itself with the palm leaf and what I believe to be the flamingo flower I don’t get any orange blossom or rose. It’s very pretty, but I will be honest, I’m not completely in love at this moment. I don’t really have a scent in mind to compare it to, but I especially wouldn’t compare this to any of the ones listed in the “similar to” category.

i really like this, even if i like danca mistica a little more (and agua mistica less). i was really pleasantly surprised to find this was a coconutty floral. the coconut and palm leaf come through a Lot, with the flowers more quiet in the background. i'm so glad this doesn't have tuberose, i agree that it's a better version of Rio Radiance. because it's so light it feels like a natural summer scent, like if you wore a coconut lotion and frolicked around in a tropical garden. really nice and i might grab this when summer rolls around.

This is pretty. It’s light, fresh, floral, and warm. To me this is just coconut water mixed with bright florals, mostly orange blossom and gardenia. Nothing groundbreaking. To be honest I don’t have that much to say other than this is pretty and feminine. Good for if you want something easy to wear for summer or to gift to a young person.

This was my favorite of the 3. Don't let the white florals description scare you away.. I mostly smell a fresh, juicy, slightly creamy coconut scent with this. I'll be layering it with pretty much all of my summer perfumes!

very simple, summery orange blossom fragrance. a tad sunscreeny but not overwhelming at all.

I usually am against returning fragrances, but really? I kind of like to collect the SDJ fragrances, but this year's are so boring, I'm kinda thinking maybe I won't do that anymore. Not particularly exciting - generic, smells like another coconut fragrance. Not offensive like the green one, but price is definitely not justified. Probably everyone who has bothered to create a fragrantica account, already has something like this in their collection. As another reviewer said, the only good one is the blue one. The other two, big pass. At least I do prefer the pink one to the green one - the green one is totally not to my preference.

Sweet with some fruity nuances in the dry down but too floral for my taste especially because the fruitiness fades significantly after about 30 minutes. I don’t get any rose or musk, and the coconut water is also quite faint to me. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 4 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ OUAI St. Barts: very tuberose and jasmine heavy ❌ SDJ Summer é Amor: a nutty floral with faint vanilla
