Freesia

This immediately caught my attention when I smelled it in Target because of the pretty fresh clean smell. A lot of people say it smells fruity, maybe I can’t recognize my notes but it reminded me a bit of linen at first. Now I think it full on smells like a baby wipe. Exactly like a baby wipe. Some people may be turned off by that but I find I like it. I feel like this would make a clean aesthetic girl happy. The longevity is nice as well. This out performs some designer perfumes I have in terms of projection and longevity. Some of these affordable perfumes at Target are quite nice.

Surprisingly, out of so many fragrances i wore so far, including designer and more expensive perfumes, this is the first fragrance which got me compliments two times within the same day. It surprisingly left a trail/ sillage. It lasted for 3-4 hours. Fruity, floral and sweet.. It’s fresh and sweet which i think would be suitable for any seasons and most importantly not intimidating AT ALL! My only wish is that i wish it stays on me a bit longer.. I hope Solinotes create an intense and long lasting version of this one!

Floral arrangement, more soap than any real flower, a bit sweetened, and very clean. Result : I like it a lot, it eases my mind like a gentle clean breeze. Strangely enough, no scent mentioning freesia in the notes smells like the real yellow freesias of my garden or from the florist. My freesias smell like fresh intoxicating lilies, but sweeter, like powdered with honey. Bees go crazy around them. Bottled, freesia seems to be a theoretical musky thing, sometimes even rather bitter or cold, and not a true flower.

4/28/22: This beauty is in my collection now! Why is no one talking about this? Adding a serious review to whatever nonsense is going on below me. I sniffed this in Target this morning around 9 am... at 1 pm it's still lingering beautifully on my hoodie sleeve. Freesia is my new favorite floral. I'm obsessed with the fresh clean vibe it gives. I think this would be lovely to pair with both fresh scents and to give gourmands some lift for spring and summer. There's a touch of fresh-fruity but mostly it's freesia!

This is beautiful! If you've ever used the Olay Hyaluronic Acid Body Wash, this smells exactly like it.

It opens as fresh and then gets fruitier. But it's more fresh than fruity. It's pleasant and innocent, smelling more like a deodorant than a perfume. Projection is weak. Not bad. But not my favorite.

A light juicy floral. Definitely getting that pear note along with the freesia blossom. Lasts a surprisingly long time- I can put this on in the morning and find that I still get whiffs of it that night. A gentle happy scent, like standing in a grove of flowering trees and biting into a peach.

Doesn't smell like Freesia AT ALL

I used to give perfumers the benefit of the doubt, thinking they're creating their own subjective impressions of a note and that we shouldn't judge them for it. Now I've decided that when a perfumer makes a perfume that purports to be a single note representing the freesia flower but makes it so off the mark that the name becomes completely moot, they are a bad perfumer and should be judged as such. I think everyone should call out such perfumers/perfume companies if we're going to get products that are not so blatantly deceptive. This is bland soap and body lotion and not even pleasant. If you're out looking for the beauty of freesia in a bottle, take your money and run!

Out of Solinotes entire line I find this scent to be one of the most accurate to its name. This perfume smells wonderful. The Freesia is strong and complimented very well by the Jasmine and sandalwood undertones which are the only other notes my nose seems to find present. It is classy and can be worn by a younger woman and older women alike. It’s a perfect scent to layer with its simplicity or to wear alone. This scent is very linear as is most of solinotes line but I don’t see that as bad if you are looking for just a Freesia perfume. I’ve had many compliments on this scent but I may warn for any floral sensitive people this may be a headache inducing scent. Seems to last around 3-4 hours on clothes, 5-6 on skin.

In the opening it's very similar to Born to Empress by Finery, a tart soapy floral with fruity nuances. After it dries down it loses the tartness and smells more like a peony dove body wash. It's nice but I prefer the Ceriser by Solinotes, which is much less tart and is calmer, and Born to Empress
