Blackburn's Parlor

I got a lot of the banana on the initial application, I love banana smells so that was fine with me. But it dries down delicately with the vanilla waffle cone coming out on top with sweetness/sugariness from the ice creams and caramel floating in there as well. I find it sweet and very delicate overall, like I said the intense banana mellowed out pretty quickly for me into sweet, sugary waffle cone sundae goodness that sits close to the skin but is also just inviting enough to those passing by. Overall I find myself smelling like the local housemade ice cream parlor from my childhood and I'll probably get a full-size soon.

Edp and oil versions read a little differently on me. I am enjoying the edp more, the banana scent burns off pretty quickly and then it's time for a little warm vanilla cone burnt sugar edible gourmand yumminess. The edp is much stronger and I prefer it, with much more of slightly burnt sugar waffle cone vibes than the banana. Longevity on edp is so-so, but it smells so good, that's ok. The oil has the banana sticking around awhile longer, and has slowly faded over 2 hours, but is still present.

This is a review of the EDP (I got a sample). Smells exactly like a banana split upon opening, it's amazing how realistic it is. It loses the banana a bit as it dries down and more of the chocolate comes out. It's really delicious and great for any gourmand lover such as myself. I am so impressed with Solstice Scents! I need a full bottle of this.

A blast of ripe bananas at first but they mellow down and then comes the chocolate and vanilla ice cream. They blend together to smell exactly like a sundae but this isn’t overly sweet. A syrupy caramel is there too. The dry down is just the ice cream with caramel & whipped cream in the background.

This is an extremely realistic vanilla ice cream with banana slices and chocolate sauce. So delicious. The banana note is like the fresh fruit, not the artificial candy. Because this is an oil the sillage and longevity aren't the strongest.

I love this scent. I have the oil roll-on, and I love how it wears close to the skin—soft, subtle, Banana Split. An amazing piece of work from a unique indie perfume house.

The banana bashes you in the face but as it dries down the cool and creamy ice cream sundae appears. MAG-I-CAL! This is not at all my style, (I don't even really like banana). This is a straight up realistic gourmand. The way they have made it obviously cold, a frozen dessert, delights me. There is wizardry at play inside the house of Solstice Scents. This really does smell like a banana split when you first apply it. It eventually evolves into sweeter and slightly cinnamony fragrance. I wasn't sold on it for the first 10 minutes, but it's almost like a different perfume when it dries down. It is definitely more of a complex, multi-faceted perfume than I imagined one with such sweet notes would be. This perfume house makes really interesting scents that are true to their description.

This is so yummy! I wish the banana note lasted longer--it's not a cloying, fake banana, it's a banana I enjoy smelling. After it wears off it smells like a delicious warm caramel-y chocolate vanilla sundae. They also somehow captured the scent of an ice cream parlor as well? I get an atmospheric note that reminds me of those big ice cream tub freezers and checkered floors. Highly considering full-sizing this one.

i get a lot of the banana and chocolate when first applied. dried down, it definitely has more vanilla, caramel, and waffle cone to it. how magical! like eating a scoop of ice cream until you're just left with a fresh, homemade waffle cone. this is great and i'm heavily considering a FB.

Opens with so much banana. Like, so much. Super sweet too, like bananas foster. If it didn't fade to kind of overly syrupy meltednice cream I would LOVE

Out of the vial this is the biggest banana that ever banana'd. No joke. But after an hour that rich banana smell dies on my skin and is replaced by something... kind of bitter (at least, when I press my nose to it). It's like the ice cream accord reads "heavy in the ice." There are hints of chocolate and waffle cone, but they don't last on me. :-(

Sorry, I have 0 interest in smelling like a Banana Split, or a Banana anything, plus the photo reminds me of a rip-off from World of Warcraft. It's mostly like a fake fruit smell, again like an air freshener for your bathroom, or a car air freshener, that comes on too strong, for too long, and you end up with a Bad Headache.

Vanilla and caramel are the most prominent notes on me. It's creamy and sweet. Banana is not in a fresh state here, it's caramelized banana, but again, it's not very prominent on me and to my nose. It's nice, if you like gourmand, you will like it, but for me it's not a bottle ( at least now). The fragrance has that burnt sugar note that Escapade gourmand has, and I smell a hint of nuttiness. It's ok, but nothing wow. For banana scent I would reach for Buontalenti over this one - it's super creamy, bright, sweet, but not cloying, when this one is little too much in a sweet compartment and there's lacking something in notes... not sure what. For me this fragrance lacking something, but it could be that it should be worn in the fall-winter, and the summer is not it's best time to shine.

When I was growing up in the 80's, I had a mock ice cream shop station with plastic cones, plastic scoops of ice cream in different colored 'flavors', and other related assorted plastic accoutrements. Fun times were had within the simplicity of the setup for role playing and such. This fantasy parlor scent really does smell like banana split sundaes with caramel sauce, chocolate, and whipped cream toppings. It evokes comfort, indulgence, carefree youthfulness, and celebration. This scent would've attracted more 'customers' to my childhood stand back in the day. Being as it's now 2019, I don't mind if I do in helping myself to servings of as many luscious scoops as I please, no need for serving others!

A hyper-realistic scent of what it is. Angela is an excellent perfumer. I have used and sampled many of the Solstice Scents collection and what always fascinates me is how she manages to capture the smells so accurately. This is the perfect banana...in no way synthetic. It smells fresh and dare I say even better than a real banana split! It actually makes me hungry. I wouldn't wear this as a fragrance only because it wouldn't match my personality.. if that makes sense? But I would adore this in a candle. I'd even buy a roller just to wear it and smell it walking around the house. That's how good this smells.

This smells exactly like a hot fudge sundae!!! It’s funny because I ordered a bunch of high-end samples from Lucky Scent and my Solstice Scents package arrived at the same time... and this is BY FAR the best one.

I want to love this, but I smell like I spilled food on myself.
