Casting Shadows

This is the most realistic nag Champa accord I have yet to smell. Casting Shadows is like the way a room smells that just had nag Champa burning in it 10 minutes prior but has since gone out. It’s that sweet, woodsy, slightly smoked aroma that lingers on your clothes and hair after listening to Moonage Daydream laying on the floor of your room staring at the ceiling. Or maybe the smell of soft, honeyed sandalwood that you burn on your puja table at home before every Japa session. Casting shadows may seem dark but make no mistake about it, this fragrance is purely golden. It radiates elegance while being heady and far out. Like true nag Champa, casting shadows last forever. I get a solid 6 hours of projection with the first two hours being monstrous. It turns into a skin scent for about another 3-4 hours depending on how hydrated I am that day. It works best in cold weather because the subtle Smokeyness shines like an aura of incense wafting around you all day. 10/10

I love this fragrance, it's the favorite out of the ones I've purchased. I get strong nag champa incense, maple, and amber notes with the wood notes softly in the background. Cozy... I'm not sure why the Oud note is listed here...I'm a pretty big fan of oud and don't detect it at all in this fragrance. In fact, if I did...I think I'd like it even more!

The description pretty much tells just how it smells. The notes are pretty spot on. It's smoky, spicy, dark, and it also has a slight floral scent.

There is a note in here that is quite sharp that I don’t love. I wonder if it’s the Oud. The sharpness softens somewhat as it sits on the skin. I love the amber, incense, and spice. This fragrance has a lot of notes I love. I can’t decide if this is a complete love for me, but it is definitely a like.
