Others have described the notes, I'd just like to add that this isn't your typical resin-y India shop incense burning smell which I strongly dislike (a) because it smells way too ordinary and familiar and b) because there's always a hint of synthetic even though I assume even the cheapest incense is made of natural ingredients). Experience when smelling this one is like smelling an actual apple after years of smelling apple shampoos. So if you're like me, curious about the listed notes but not a fan of the above, give this one a go.

I LOVE this fragrance. It’s definitely one of my top 3 that Solstice Scents does. I burn a lot of incense at home and have frequented many crystal shops and new age shops so the incense musky blends are really comforting for me. This is the quintessential cozy incense scent for me. It is not as potent as I would like as an oil, but I’d like to try the EDP version to see its staying power as well. Its dry down is light and powdery and I think it’s a great gender neutral fragrance as well.

Gehenna גיא בן הינום a place in Jerusalem where people sacrificed their children in a fire to their pagan God. In Islam, Jahannam جهنم, directly derives from Gehenna, and is the name of Hell in Islam. With these intentions in mind, what would these places smell like? Honestly, my expectations were for something a little nasty. Fire, burning, char, blood or metallic notes. I was looking forward to an unfriendly unlikable fragrance. But instead, this is a dragons blood incense perfume. If you love incense and/or love dragons blood, I've never smelled it more elegantly than here. It is quite beautiful and pleasant smelling. Myrhh and musk make themselves well known too, as well as a mildly "burning" note which is never unpleasant. For the first hour or so, it's a 'head shop' for sure. But that isn't unlikable and it does begin to mellow out into something else with the musk and myrhh pushing forward. I think it's a really nice resinous fragrance, but it is, above all else, a recreation of a head shop/new age shop. For me, it's perfectly pleasant and would make a great room fragrance -but not a body one. 6/10

The note pyramid is missing dragons blood, myrrh, and smoke which are the big 3 to my nose. It definitely smells like a very strong headshop with dragons blood incense sticks burning and myrrh oils diffused all over the store.

There’s something in the opening that is savory, a bit bitter (in a not-unpleasant way), and spicy. I think it’s the myrrh, but much less sweet than i’m used to. For all the world, it smells like saffron to me. As it burns off, the dragon’s blood and musk are the stars, and if you are on the hunt for a balanced dragon’s-blood-heavy perfume ... this is it! A slightly animalistic musk keeps it from going /too/ sweet and powdery, and it’s well- balanced the whole way through. Very impressive! Impressive sillage and longevity: I apply with a very light hand (only a dab on each wrist), and I can definitely still smell it hours later (though faintly) without putting my wrists right up to my nose.
