Gin Flower

35th EDP: Wow, this one is unique. I get the alcohol, but that was not the draw for me. It has osmanthus (smells like musky dried apricots) and apricot. You can really smell the flower with the fruit. The juniper (I think) is a little jarring at opening (like sap), but give it a chance and the best part of this scent comes out-musky dried apricots and honey. To be fair, the juniper is an interesting contrast to the rest of the sweet musky powdery composition (a natural muskiness, not synthetic). I find this more of a skin scent, but it does hold well in clothing. Tested in warm weather(more sweet, musky, powdery) and now testing in cooler weather(juniper stays longer, more noticeable). It's so strange, unique, and interesting, with a realistic musky apricot note, that I bought a full bottle. It will last a while. I can't compare this to anything else out there that I've smelled before. 8/10

One of my favorite smells in the world is that first blast of herbal, spicy, soapy sweetness that one is hit with when entering a health food store. By this, of course, I don't mean Whole Foods, but a tiny tightly-packed shop wedged into a hipster neighborhood that offers Dr. Bronner's and shockingly priced "snacking licorice". Add a few fruity notes further to the back, a bushel of pears, apricots and lemons as per the description, and you have Gin Flower. I got a tester in my sample set, and though I imagine it may be a bit different in a full size as it is a very finnicky scent that took over a month of rest to fully settle, I will definitely be springing for the whole bottle. Such a cool scent.

This is a really well-done fragrance. It's not completely me, but I enjoy smelling it.

maybe I just don't like osmanthus but this has a heavy, sickly preserved-lemon cast on me. it smells like the dusty and slightly greasy jar of dried apricots at my grandmother's and eucalyptus-flavored cough drops and carsickness.

On my skin it's fresh evergreen sap and some tar in the background.
