High Desert

Sage is one of my all time favorite scents outside of perfumery. I'm glad this scent is mostly that: a bundle of pure, dry white sage. I grew up in the Mojave desert and so this scent is nostalgic and meditative for me. It's not the scent of the Mojave (that would be creosote, particularly after a desert thunderstorm), but it reminds me of hikes through Devil's Punchbowl and Las Vegas. I don't smell much else outside of sage, -maybe- a hint of labdanum and hay deep in the base. It does start a bit sweet and grows deeper and darker as time goes on. If you just want a long wearing white sage oil, you can't go wrong with this.

This scent is like a memory. Like walking into a crystal shop in Idyllwild where you’re met with lightly burning sage and incense, you smell the wooden shelves the crystals are displayed on and the books about new age ideas. The shop owner, a beautiful older woman in a flowing dress glides over to you to greet you. She’s wearing a vintage musk perfume that probably isn’t in production anymore, and her energy is radiating unconditional love and warmth. This scent takes you there, wherever that is. I’ll likely buy a FB of this one.

Smells like a blend of herbs that reminds your of a healing purpose. Maybe a blend you'd put in an ointment, yet to be diluted with something oily. Extremely pure, natural, herbal, but like I said it kind of whispers 'healing', not just 'yay a visit to the nature'. Some people who had used herbs for sickness may not care so much if it reminds them of it.

Sage, cactus, and hay are the first notes I smell. This fragrance brings me back to the sonoran desert in the best way possible. It reminds me of a childhood friend's mom who used to sage her house, walking in always was an olfactory treat. Love it!

High Desert is such a special and spiritual blend for me. I don't wear it very often maybe because of that, but I find it really evocative of nature and cleansing rituals. Sage is the main note that appears for me and it is quite herbal. Very beautiful fragrance.

Great scent but you have to struggle to smell it. Wish it came in an atomizer perfume bottle. You really have to bury your nose in your wrist to smell it and it makes you want more. Bit frustrating. All the notes are amazing though.

Opens up very cactus forward, with a sage undertone. In the drydown, it’s pretty much the same, maybe a bit of hay as well. For the notes, I expected a more complex perfume—I don’t get any smoke, labdanum, sand, or even tobacco accords. Pretty simple and linear, and somewhat captures a desert environment, but hardly enough, IMO. Tauer should do a collab with this brand...they could actually make a photorealistic desert frag, if this was even the intent.

High Desert is a calming blend of sage and incense. It's pretty simple, mainly sage and eventually some sandalwood coming through. It's soft, alluring, and very slightly smoky but just around the edges. I find it a really relaxing scent that reminds me of the inside of a crystal shop.
