White Feather

Thank you so much for adding this wonderful perfume to your database. I am not much for white or yellow flowers, and I can't really say I'm super keen on Jasmine. But this floral composition is just amazing. It opens on my skin with strong spices of saffron and Sandalwood--spicy woods. Then there is a burst of Gardenia followed by Jasmine and vanilla with a musky sweet incense. It is truly unusual and is not like any kind of Gardenia or Jasmine perfume that I've tried before. It is definitely not clean, soapy, or powdery, but rather something soft and sensual. While I don't think it's office friendly if you have a heavy hand on the trigger, I do think it can be worn during the day as it is highly comforting in addition to being gently romantic. At night this is again a sexy, yet calm and soothing lovely scent. I really wasn't sure if I'd like it so I ordered several samples, and then knew I'd have to get the full bottle. I am so glad I did. This could be classified under white or yellow flowers but it could also be classified under "Florientals." Do try!

Incredible, intoxicating, addictive perfume. Complex and shifting with heady white florals (especially the gardenia which is such a rare scent) and a sexy, spicy creamy vanilla sweetness and a woody darkness in there giving it so much warmth and character. Totally unsubtle, striking and beautiful. Absolutely a date night perfume. I'm in love.

This is one of the most beautiful scents I don't own. I wish I sprung for a bottle of the EDP when it was available, and now I don't know if I'll ever stop thinking about it. Slowly savoring my sample...

Surprised there are not more reviews for this, given that it was quite popular in the Solstice Scents forum. It opens with a heavy kick of jasmine, and I do mean a kick. Someone wearing metal boots kicking the flowers that have been heaped up, overflowing from a pile. A thread of saffron surprises, and there's a smell that I can only class as "animalic" not being able to pinpoint the genesis of the animale. After this quadruple note assault tumbling through my nose-brain, my attention drifts away for an hour or more and I don't really notice the perfume. I sniff myself about an hour later, and there is a warmly spiced vanilla drifting up, warm and skin-like. I press my nose into my warm skin and want to burrow into myself like a cuddle puddle in a woolly warm blanket. It really is something.

At first I was reminded of Lust Lush for a split second. Heady jasmine, indolic. But this one just kept getting spicier with no signs of stopping. My skin seems to amplify anything oudy or incensey, and this is very much that with a faint jasmine. I can definitely see that this is a work of art, but it’s giving that girl and I am only this girl. Edit: this really does remind me of Lust combined with Siikim Girls, but if Siikim Girls’ incense was dialed up all the way instead of the mellow version it has. Be prepared to draw attention wearing this, it is far from timid.

Without looking at the notes, I thought their was an animalic musk scent in the list. I’m thinking that must be the synthetic oud note instead, making the opening extremely challenging. For me this goes in a musty, rancid direction. I don’t care for it, but I can also understand the appeal. I like all of the other Solstice Scents I’ve sampled, but White Feather is a pass.

This is a soften Wolf Spirit. I also smell some similarities to Manor Fire, which is my favorite by this brand. The animal fur note is strong, but the florals and vanilla balance it out. On first spray, it smells like Vicks Vapor Rub. It changes fast though, so just give it a moment.

This is stunningly beautiful - it treads the line between a lot of things. It feels both modern, but also vintage. Familiar, but novel. Dark, but also light. Exquisite ingredients in the composition, the materials really shine. Love it very much.
