Enticing

I received a sample of this from Soma while shopping in the store. I really love this scent. At first spray it is a burst of sweet berries, then quickly turns into a lovely floral fragrance. I can detect the gardenia and rose the most on my skin, which is wonderful, because I love both scents. I will have to specifically look for the freesia next time, as I am not as familiar with that scent in perfume form, so I can not attest to it specifically. However, it is all around a perfectly lovely floral fragrance with amazing lasting power. I especially enjoy the gentle gardenia scent, I feel it was very well executed. This perfume lasted all day and I could still smell it when I went to bed at night. Two days later and I can still smell it on the sleeves of my cardigan. It is not heavy or cloying to me (two things I don't like - I prefer light, sweet, delicate floral fragrances.) The musk is not overwhelming, which is perfect as I get a headache from strong musky perfumes. I have this on my wish list and plan to get a bottle soon. I absolutely loved the smell of this perfume when I got a whiff of it in store back when it first came out. It smelled beautiful on the sample paper as well, so I decided to purchase it. I tried to wear it several times and was so disappointed to discover that something in it, when first sprayed on my skin and a little while after, would become so sharp it was painful to smell. I believe it was one of the white florals, either the gardenia or the freesia (or maybe both?). But that white musk dry down was wonderful. I tried to take it back, even after I had used it a couple times, and Soma let me return it without any fuss. I still love the smell of this perfume, it's just a shame it didn't work with my skin. But if your chemistry works fine with the other notes and you're a fan of a musk dry down, this is worth a try.
