Axiom

A lovely spicy fresh affair that will strongly remind you of some gems from the 90's such as Balenciaga Casual Friday and Chanel Allure Homme. In comparison to those, I feel this composition is smoother, more rounded and a tad fresher. I'd argue that Dan perfected the cinnamon/citrus DNA that was popular in that era. He modernised it, removed the vaguely annoying anis note and gave it some heft - a fantastic release.

This is a fantastic fragrance from Soma! It has totally blown me away! It reminds me a bit of some 90s fragrances like D&G By Man/Gucci Envy, but Axiom has its own thing going on. Very long lasting, and beautiful presentation to boot! Impressive stuff folks!

Intriguing and ravishing is all that comes to mind with a few blasts from this bottle... I'd argue its my favourite from the brand, Nocturne & Halcyon do give it a good battle but this one wins for me always.

Axiom opens with a sharp and tangy orange/ginger combination which to be completely honest is a little underwhelming. A clean musky jasmine is joined by vetiver, cedar and olibanum. Soma has released some brilliant scents however I feel this one doesn’t quite live up to the rest. The notes seem a bit muddled, nothing particularly stands out and it reminds me of a clean, musky gingery designer release that most brands seem to be jumping on. Axiom is pleasant enough and there’s nothing inherently bad about it, but to me it lacks a bit of character and depth. Overall a pleasant scent but not for me unfortunately.
