Whitney

The perfume opens muted citrusy fresh with a spicy warmth. It doesn't have the blast of scent that many of the other Sorvella perfumes do. The citrus and spices follows quite far in the development of the perfume, but they are never overpowering. Iris and wood are so well balanced, I often have a problem with iris becoming too prominent on my skin, but not in this one. I find this perfume to be very "close to nature", imagine a garden with iris blooming while you're sitting sipping lemonjuice after cutting down trees - that's how Whitney smells. I think it's leaning more feminine on me than masculine, but a man can absolutely wear this without coming off as feminine smelling. Sillage and longevity is shorter than other Sorvellas, but that's not really a negative thing as their perfumes can be real beasts. It turns into a good skin scent after about 6 hours and the scent left behind can easily be layered with any other perfume if you want to change scent - it will only give a subtle depth and richness. Also, I really like the bottles in their mountain series - the mountain you see is not a print, is the actual bottom of the bottle pressed in to look like the mountain. The cap closes with magnestism, so if you try to put it on slightly off centered, it corrects itself and snaps into place. The atomizer give a really fine spray and you can easily adjust to half spray (or,even less) just by how much pressure you put on it. Gives off a really well made, quality impression.
