Afgano Puro

Super sweet opening, from the patchouli, with tobacco peeking through. As it develops, ten minutes later becomes very powdery in a neutral, talcum powder way. Not cosmetics femme powdery, but neutral, leaning masc. I do not get oud, at all. I get some tobacco with a touch of honeyed vanilla, underneath a powder bomb. I find this very comforting and warming. Smells fantastic on a man! A woman can wear on a cold night, nuzzling a hot cup of chai tea. I sprayed over 10 sprays, easily. Don't be a sissy sprayer.

I got a random sample of it and I liked it a lot actually. Very masculine and not really an every-day wear in my opinion, leans more towards special occasions. Reminds me of something i smelled a long time ago, a classy scent that older people used to wear to my grandpa's synagogue on shabbat, which pretty much hints that it should be worn by 35+ men (in my opinion) It's definitely worth a shot of you're into classic scents. Not worth the high price tag tho

A more complex and beautiful version of Black Afgano. If I had to choose between the two I would choose Afgano Puro for the powdery and complex dry down. Afgano Puro is not going to be for everyone and I think that's a good thing, it tells it own story. I want a bottle but I don't think its going to fair well in FL hot weather and would be more of a ( I have this and its really unique and I like it but I'm not in the mood to wear it today) same as Black Afgano. I'm pretty much never in the mood to wear it. (UPDATE) I got a bottle

A Jazz Club. The half-light. The aroma of sharp tobacco. The music playing and transporting us with the mind to another world. Afghano puro is a strong, powerful fragrance with wonderfully interpreted tobacco. A scent with smoky, dark tones, which slowly softens and becomes extremely sensual on the skin. I had flashbacks to early childhood memories of baby powder. Once calmed it is well blended and linear with exceptional longevity. Afgano Puro would do very well on a matriarch, or a woman who is a patron of the arts, expressive, atypical, and loved by all who encounter her. This is an aristocratic grandmotherly vibe. This is a deep purple fragrance, as the bottle suggests.
