Snowy Khata

I just received this scent from Baroma, so these are very early initial thoughts, I will reedit this review if needs be after some time: This is one of those fragrances that transcends this world, the textures and temperatures incorporated in this touch on ethereal, with cleanness and literal silkiness from the snow, silk and tea notes. Though I never quite know how to describe 'snow' in association with scent, there's a clean watery facet to it, but not washed out in any way, it almost enhances the clarity and beauty of the lily of the valley and the white tea. The eucalyptus is actually really beautiful here, it stays away from the medicinal side that can often be introduced in fragrance, and instead is within that truly beautiful aromatic/herbal realm, without being in any way overpowering. The dry down brings a musky warmth but with a gloriously powdery iris note that transforms this scent into skin scent / nostalgia bliss. Having really highlighted skin scents this year, from d'Orsay, Baruti, Frederic Malle etc. this is yet another truly unique take on the scent space. Again, I haven't worn this enough or had enough time with it to create a really rounded view, this is very much initial thoughts

Value for money is outstanding on this one - really nice packaging with a postcard inside featuring a scene that corresponds to the scent. The back has a description and a note breakdown where they've circled the key notes and accords in the fragrance. Bottle is as nice as it looks in pictures in person, the stones in the caps are real stones. For the scent, like this previous reviewer said this isn't a huge projector at all but the smell is fantastic. This one almost reminds me of if you added a cold, snowy accord and some eucalyptus to Bvlgari Man or another musky scent of that nature, though you very much also get the lily of the valley as it begins to dry. It isn't fully reminiscent of anything else I've smelled, absolutely it's own thing. Will 100% be ordering more from this brand before prices inevitably increase.

A cool herbal scent with eucalyptus. I don’t get snow, but the name makes sense once you know a khata is a Tibetan ceremonial white scarf.

Light and aromatic eucalyptus. Smells like a spa product. “Snow”? “Silk”? Tbh, just seems a little like overinflated packaging and descriptions. It’s nice and clean and fresh but not much more. This is also the first time in history that a fragrance has brought me out in a mild rash, so I’m not confident about the ingredients.
