Mangolicious Hibistorm

A love at first sniff! I ordered a full sized bottle after wearing it for a day. On my skin, it's such a juicy and spicy mango with juicy candied red berries, hibiscus, and a gentle rose in the background. The oud is so well blended in here. I'm relatively picky with oud because on my skin, it can be either hit or miss. But in here, the oud mingles with the amber and leather in such a way that plays beautifully on my skin. There's an effervescent juiciness and sparkling quality to the fragrance that is married nicely with the spiciness that you get from the oud and other deeper, muskier notes. It honestly reminds me of eating a fresh, juicy mango with the spiciness of Tajín chili powder. You get that contrast of fresh, juicy, and fruity, with the spiciness and earthiness that makes it reminiscent of an exotic sweet and spicy candy. It's definitely a gourmand fragrance but it's quite wearable. I could definitely imagine a candy or a cocktail smelling exactly like this. Everyone's tastes vary, but to my nose, it's divine.

This is a lovely fragrance. It really is a sort of combination of GOF and HM. In the beginning I’m hit with a blast of a fresh and somewhat green note to my nose. I guess that’s the mango? If it is, it’s a green mango. It’s ultra fresh and perfect for warm weather. This freshness lingers throughout but then after about 2 hours, I get this beautiful sweet rose similar to the opening of hibiscus mahajad that just emerges almost out of nowhere! It continues to evolve and I get a sort mango sweetened by a sweet rose. The leather is there in the background but doesn’t overpower. It’s a scent journey that I don’t often find in a lot of fragrances and is very interesting and enjoyable. I love this.

On paper, this smells fruity & musky yet really aromatic - gorgeous! On my skin, I get a green skankiness that I don't love for the first 15/20minutes or so. Maybe it's the Hibiscus? Once that fades the addictive fruity aromatic scent returns and I love it! I haven't smelled Hibiscus Mahajad or original GOF but I have smelled the Vulcan Feu dupe and I see it as being in the same fruit/musk family but this is definitely unique (Plus Vulcan Feu has the Moss note which I dislike and this doesn't!) Great longevity & projection... HUGE fan of this brand <3

I got a sample of this after ordering wood of gods. I tried it the other day and ran to order a full bottle. It's fresh and deep at the same time. The oud is not overpowering but gives it some oomp. I think this is a great year ro. und scent. Even though it's tropical with the mango the middle and base notes makes it more versatile. Update 4/22: wearing this today and it is beast mode! I've had it for about two months and it is beautifully blended. The fruity top notes give way to a blended leather woody blend. It's not sharp. Well done Sphinx!

THIS STUFF IS STRONG. Longevity 8h with monstrous sillage for 2 hours and arms length up until 4th hour. Skin scent after that but man this is marvelous Imagine you got the skin of an orange and squeezed it and that citrus mist comes out, you capture the mist and add some sweetness to it and mix it together and you have this 10/10 (my wife signature) Great longevity Crazy sillage Niche quality Good price if you have the discount with it

After trying them all, this is by far the best Sphinx release. It successfully merges God of Fire and Hibiscus Mahajad and makes a standalone fragrance that smells just as good as either. Fruity, floral, musky freshness the whole way, with a woody vanilla drydown giving just enough structure. Super mass appealing, unisex, effortless freshness, performance, it has it all.

Omg this is so strong!😍 Such a beautifull hibiscus flower with added mango but lil bit green mango, not ready to eat one yet. Leather and oud is so, so gentle here, dont worry about them if you dont like those notes. I would say this one is more on ladies side.

It's like most ppl say. It is similar to hibiscus mahajad with a pinch of ftuitiness. Lasts very long and is strong. It's not just for hot summer days.. value for money, a great fragrance

Hibiscus Mahajád , less tarte more fruity .. but nice fruity not too sweet

I find it very appealing and can easily recommend it. It smells like pure confidence, a bit of mango, a bit of leather, a bit of florals, all in a luxurious and not childish way. Performance is incredibly solid, it keeps projecting through entire day, as if you just applied it, only a touch of vanilla slightly softens it as the day goes by which I adore. However, for me it feels like there is a touch of saffron in it and that confidence mood is translating a bit harsh and familiar to me, so once again, simply not a "me" scent. Will be letting it go.

Pleasant and easy to like, but to my nose it smells more like a fresh shampoo, a clean tropical soap, or even a scented candle than a true perfume. It gives off a very familiar, generic clean–tropical vibe. I understand the comparisons to Hibiscus Mahajad, but honestly, Hibiscus Mahajad feels like dense , rich, potent and this not to me . It’s fruity, tropical, very wearable and inoffensive, but not unique or memorable. This is not something new or distinctive, and it could easily be replaced by a designer fragrance without losing much.

If long lasting, excellent projection and sillage mandatory for you, look at Mangolicious Hibistorm. Straight out the box, it performs very well. The Mango and Hibiscus are well balanced. To me, this is unisex. It also layers very well when combined with Cereza Daiquiri by Sphinx

We're moving right along today and reviewing Mangolicious Hibistorm from Sphinx Fragrances. I gotta say, what a name that is. Mango and hibiscus are what I'm expecting from the name, and I'll admit that sounds pretty feminine. Hopefully, it will be more unisex when I get it on my skin, since I don't necessarily want to smell like a lady. Let's get into it and find out how it is. Scent: The opening is fruity, floral, and sweet. The primary notes I get are mango, hibiscus, red berries, and rose. The strongest of the notes are the mango and hibiscus. The mango starts the fragrance off with a fruity, tropical blast. It's juicy and tangy, like a freshly cut mango. Alongside the mango is the hibiscus note. As a flower, it's obviously going to have a floral aspect to it. However, true to real hibiscus, it has a tart yet sweet accord similar to the aroma of the Mexican drink Agua de Jamaica. Up next are the rose and red berry notes. The rose note adds some more floral accord to the opening, but gentle and powdery as opposed to a jammy kind of rose. Lastly, the red berries add some more sweet fruitiness in the background to build upon the mango. The dry down is sweet, fruity, and fresh. The primary notes I get are mango, hibiscus, musk, and vanilla. The strongest of the notes are still the mango and hibiscus. Even though they are noticeably softer and more rounded, they are both still working together to provide the same tropical, fruity, tangy accord from the opening. This is followed by the musk and vanilla. Both notes have risen to the top in the dry down; the musk providing its signature freshness while the vanilla offers its familiar creamy sweetness. There's also a bit of a rich, balsamic sweetness in the base from the amber, as well as a touch of woodiness from the oud. Background notes, for sure, but there if you pay attention. The amber and vanilla do build more as you head further into the dry down. Performance: Initial projection is very strong and can easily fill a room. Sillage matches that intensity with a scintillating scent trail that grabs attention. After about 3-4 hours, the projection was still at least 6 feet, and the scent trail was still easily noticeable. At the 7-8 hour mark, the projection had died down to about arm's length, and the scent trail was lighter but still noticeable. The fragrance became a skin scent shortly afterwards. When to wear: Mangolicious Hibistorm is a spring/summer fragrance that, thanks to its evolving scent profile, can be worn during the daytime or evening. The bright and sparkling mango and hibiscus notes work great in the heat, but the sweet warmth of the vanilla and amber make it suitable for evening wear. Either way, this is a casual-wear fragrance, but it could work as a special occasion fragrance as well. I wouldn't wear this to formal settings or the office, though. Blind buy: I don't really have anything in my collection to adequately compare this to, but if you like sweet and fruity fragrances, or you enjoy fragrances like Hibiscus Mahajad or God of Fire, this is probably a safe blind buy for you. Final verdict: Let me preface this by saying I will truly never understand how fragrances get compliments. I've worn $500, super-masculine fragrances, and no one says a thing. I wear this out to Target, and a woman stops me to get the name of the fragrance. Try to make sense of it, because I can't. Anyway, there's no denying that Mangolicious Hibistorm is a nice fragrance, but it's just way too feminine for me. It smells like a perfume, not a cologne. I know most of the votes say unisex, but this is 100% a woman's fragrance in my opinion. Let's talk about performance, because this fragrance did surprisingly well. Heavy projection and scent trails for the first few hours, and lasting about 8 hours before fading away into a skin scent. Versatility, like most fresh fragrances, is limited. This works well for casual wear during the warmer months, but isn't suitable for formal occasions or the office. When it comes to mass appeal, I can't deny that this works. I mean, it got an unsolicited comment in the middle of a store, what more proof do you need? To wrap this up, I'm glad I tried the fragrance out, but as I stated before, it's way too feminine for me. My wife loves it, though, so I might pick up a bottle for her. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 9/10

This is the diet version of Hibiscus Mahajad. This is what coke zero is to the orginal coke soda. The company says they create original fragrances but it seems to be more of a dupe house. Their sister company is Alexandria Fragrances. This is a beautiful scent but Iam not impressed with the performance. I ordered a discovery set and was interested enough to order a 4 piece bundle set for $369. I wore the sample for two days, at home, and it seemed to perform well but the full bottle was to the contrary. The sillage, projection and longevity were almost non existent. I get complimented daily on my fragrances but not one person could smell this on me. I plan to let it macerate and try again.

The scent is just choking me😪... I received a sample with my order. The opening was promising ”oh, this reminds of Jo Loves Mango”, juicy with mango flesh, quite breezy, but after about 30mins it became cloyeing - heavy hibiscus and amber is all I get. Maybe a slight leather aspect. I think if you enjoy Hibiscus Majahad, you will be more likely to enjoy this one. However, note that mango dissapears very quickly. Also, if you like Mango Skin by Vilhelm, you will enjoy the opening (albeit very brief!). Try before you buy!

The opening of this fragrance is so delicious. It smells almost 80% on hibiscus Mahajid by Maison Crivella in the opening. The opening is absolutely gorgeous and then something goes seriously wrong in the mid and the dry down for me... Especially the dry down looking at the notes. I don’t see anything earthy but there is something really off in the dry down. I’m not really good at identifying earthy notes. But there’s something dirty grassy... The wrong side of patchouli... I don’t like the dry down. It absolutely ruins the fragrance for me. I would have to go with hibiscus Majid. Maybe layering them together, but it’s not worth buying a bottle in my opinion, but it seems that most people really like it.... Maybe it’s the leather.

THIS IS STU-NNING. It’s delicious tropical mango and hibiscus on top of the cleanest woody Oud and silky leather. I usually avoid Oud and leather but in this it’s truly beautiful. It’s a combination that honestly sounds rancid but somehow masterfully done. In my opinion this would be beautiful on anyone.

This smells like a supermarket body mist. Thought I’m getting something similar to Hibiscus Mahajad but ended up absolutely regretting it (blind buy recommended by a friend). I’ll give it to my teenage boys (they’re just getting into niche perfumes).

This smells almost exactly as Moschino Bubble Gum at the top and then transitions to something similar (in my experience) to His Confession, but instead of a powdery iris + lavender its a soft Rose.

I actually love this. I mean to the point of selling my Hibicus Mahajad......nahhhhh j/k, lol. But seriously, I love this HM/God of Fire combo bc I also love GOF. ❤️
