8 Mystic Warrior

This fragrance is a real masterpiece. It is so unique and not similar to anything I have smelled before. Some people is referring it to Black Phantom but I can ́t agree. I mean sure they might be in the same type of "category" but doesn't smell similar or anything. I can ́t explain this fragrance and I have smelled a lot. It needs to be experienced. Signature for sure. At least for me! ⁠;)

Testing blind, I definitely found this caramel forward, and a bit boozy at the opening, coming across a little tobacco leathery, but sweet and a little indulgent but not over the top. As the day wears on the viscous side is all but gone and left with a dry woodsy element that feels more dark dusty and, well... cumin? Looking at the notes it's that coriander and sage with the woods. It's an interesting transition but consistency (to some degree) it is not. Whether that matters IDK, it's opening and first hour are enjoyable, if you like caramel forward sweetness, and the dry afterburn is mature and holds up on its own, but they feel very different side by side, so personal testing seems essential here. Enjoyable, but holding back from distinguishable in more than one sense of the word.

8,5/10 I wasn't a big fan at first sniff, however the more I let it do it's thing the more enjoyable it becomes. It is definitely sweet, but I also get a hint of plum even though it is not listed as a note. It's not harsh on the nose as some other sweet fragrances can be, nor does it feel clawing. I get a mild caramel and a soft honey note that are very pleasant together. Slightly spicy and woodsy. Perfectly unisex in my opinion, but I'd only recommend it in cold environments as it will be too much in warm weather.

Amber is the dominant note in this fragrance, but it isn't the resinous, woody, pencil shavings variety. It's sickeningly sweet due to the addition of honey, this dna is present in a number of Bois 1920 fragrances. I feel it might be hard to stomach for some people, myself included. The fragrance is potent and long lasting, so do not overspray.

Bigtime shisha vibes, the kind you get on a Moroccan or Egyptian souk. There are several frags that give this association to me, this one is particularly spicy and woodsy and resinous. Very unique indeed and the caramel note, which is dominant, is not ruining it. (Often it does for me) Lots of kind of piney tree sap type resinous notes, freshly cut woodsy notes, super nice. Gourmand too but not sickly. A touch smokey. Really love this!
