It's exactly what you think it is. Soft warm cosmetics powder adjacent musky amber with a creamy/dessert like undertone from the sandalwood, vanilla and other sweet notes. Despite the sweetness it does not lean too gourmand (it's only lightly sweet and balanced out by the tartness from the bergamont) and lasts for a decent amount of time especially on clothes.

Languid, intoxicating, feminine lusciousness. The liquid, fully maturated, is as bright red in the bottle as on your skin. No crispy white shirts allowed. You are radiating hot skin and crushed flowers. You are drunk on sweet syrapy magenta liqueur. You and your drink are glowing neon. The last thing you remember is walking on Jasmin petals.

This has "designer fragrance" DNA to me. It's not a dupe or anything, but I can see this right at home in a line from Valentino or Prada or something at Sephora. I don't gravitate to that kind of designer floral amber scent, so this is a pass from me. If you like those kinds of fragrances, this might be one to check out as a foray into the niche world. Also, the juice is RED so if that matters to you to avoid staining your clothes, tread carefully with this one.

I drenched my arm in this and still couldn't smell anything. Bought from the brand website and it smells like a diluted attempt at a fragrance. Pass.

I loved my sample, but underestimated how sweet and syrupy this was until I purchased and sprayed from a full bottle. I also agree with the reviewer's sentiments below- this does have that "designer-fragrance" mass appeal DNA. French Poetry is well composed and she's cute, but you've smelled this before and probably already own something like this in your collection **coughs JPG La Belle** Performance is impressive, it feels more like an extrait vs. an EDP. Overall though strikingly familiar, this is a keeper for me. What can I say? I am sucker for vanilla-floral DNA, and the linear juicy pear note is the cherry on top for me.
