Open Mind

I was on the presentation of this perfume in Versailles and got obsessed. This item feels like summer and full of pure refreshment. I really want to buy it at least because of the Marine Crist ingredient that makes it so unique and gives truly sea breeze feeling, just wow

This was very long lasting on me – I unintentionally over sprayed when I put it on, so it was VERY strong for the first four or five hours. Started very fruity with the melon and lime, slowly evolved into more of an almost powdery green tea dominant scent, though I could still smell the fruity/citric notes. Eventually, it settled into a softer woody scent, and I could still smell the wood notes on my skin after a full night of sleep, so the longevity is commendable. This didn’t smell very aquatic or ozonic to me as the melon and lime dominated the opening, the tea dominates the middle, and the wood dominates the late wear. I’m going to try wearing this again in a few weeks and make sure to stick to one chest spray and one wrist spray and see if the notes or performance change at all. Overall, I didn’t mind this scent, though it leaned a bit too sweet for me when I was expecting a bit more freshness.

Testing this blind, it came across initially as a fresh and spicy aromatic with a vetiver base. As it dried down, it 'dried' down and I got a hint more smokiness under the surface. Looking at the notes now, I was expecting more direct spice notes like black pepper, but you get a strong sense of the Hinoki Wood, Crithmum, Cypress, Guaiac Wood, and Cade oil which is the heart of the blend. While the melon (I guess) and lime (definitely) add to the opening and sense of freshness, I didn't really get any sense of the lotus and green tea. It's pleasant and the variation of the fresh, spicy, aromatic was different enough to perk my interest but it isn't particularly exciting or new. I like it (just barely) and it's excellent projection and longevity surely help persuade my opinion.

This reminds me of something. I don't know what. It's like Encre Noir meets Dirty Hinoki with Lime. I also agree with the Gallivant comparison. Except instead of eucalyptus, it is lime. I like this better, actually. (I smelled them side by side, as I own LA by Gallivant.) I like it much better after the lime wears off a little. I definitely can smell the crithmum note in this one. I believe that is what the other user is speaking of. It definitely stands out, as I am familiar with all the other notes. I agree, it is a lovely perfume for summer. I imagine being on a speed boat, spilling my martini as the boat goes over a wave. Ahhhhhh....

Dries down quick to wood and tea on me. Pretty long lasting, could smell it next morning. It’s pleasant and there is plenty of tea which was the enduring note. If you want a woody fragrance with a tea twist this is lovely. The notes of fruit and marine don’t stick around for long. Enjoyable 7/10, not out of the park.

The melon is very prominent throughout the scent's journey. Especially when smelling close to the skin. The projection is weak to moderate, with a light sillage. The sillage is the best part (if you like tea). Overall, the melon was too overbearing for me, and came off somewhat funky.

Im not sure if its chrithmum or cade oil, but I get ZERO fruit notes and not even much wood, but what I do get is smoke. The same note that repulsed me in popular Amouage frags. This is a 1 star out of 5. I cannot understand how these other ppl are getting fruit notes. Its not quite as repulsive as Imitation Man, but its close.

I usually steer clear from aquatic fragrance, I’m a child of the nineties and closed this chapter a long time ago. But, this one is an experience. It is a ultra contemporary take on aquatics. It is very sensual and meditative. It’s a voyage. You are transported in time, space, age. It has enormous staying power and sillage. The dry down is very woody, almost nutty. It’s not your average citrusy/fruity aquatic. Not a safe blind buy.

I don't find MELON appealing to be used on fragrances, does anyone knows if on this fragrance, melon dominates other notes or is it on the lower perceptible side? The other notes is what makes me wanting to blind buy it though.
