Finding Forbidden Love

After receiving a large sample of this I really don’t know what to make of it. I really want to like it – I support all this company is trying to create – the descriptions are beautiful and it’s not just a company throwing together synthetic this and that and asking for way too much money. But I just can’t seem to grasp this scent. Sometimes I get whiffs of what I hoped this to be – a bright peach, slightly sweet honey like an upper-class European dessert, delicate tea – but it’s always beneath this cloud of choking wet, but dry, resinous sharp powdery white incense. Like you walk into a temple (using Statik’s imagery) with a cloud of burning cold resins, woods and florals and you are handed a cup of bright fruity delicate tea. You keep trying to put the tea up to your nose to take it in – but this cloud keeps rushing between it. It stays linear – if even amping up the cloud of white incense while it progresses – on my skin. The Raspberry and honey are put here as base notes – but it never ends up becoming woods and fruits in the dry down. On clothes it does the same. There is no sweet, fruity, amber, honey allowed to happen here. I decided to let it macerate a bit – but it hasn’t changed much. I grab my sample and smell around the edges and it’s beautiful – clear and stunning - and then I’m punched in the nose and throat and its gagging. This love is really forbidden to me. It won’t let me get near it. I hope to try this again and see if my sample is just off.

This smells like literal urinal cakes. This perfume should stay forbidden and remain in the bathrooms
